It kept me alive in highschool. Seriously, it was all I had to look forward to for those years. Thank God the quality was peaking with this, Reno, Chappelle...
I used to watch this all the time on comedy Central , was sooo funny and I loved seeing the different interesting things and ppl he would meet , man those were good times
This show meant Soo much to my childhood. It came on right before South Park when I was like 7. Most of the jokes went completely over my head... But there's a warm nostalgia watching this
Always reminds me of summers during high school when I could stay up as late as I wanted during the week. And smoking weed out my bedroom window, and then watching all the late night Comedy Central shows
Looking back I realize how much of an impact this show had on me in a positive way. There's all sorts of people in the world. Dont judge or make fun of anyone. Have a good time and be yourself. Dont drink Jager.
After moving to a new neighborhood back in the late 90s as a kid I had a lot of anxiety at night/ never slept great at all. When Insomniac would come on it would instantly relieve that anxiety for whatever reason and I would watch that until the infomercials came on. Oddly comforting.
As a burqueno and avid drinker in 2003, Dave did a great job hitting the "spots" lots of nostalgia from my bar crawling days. That said there's no possible way Dave made it from Sonny's, to the Frontier, to Capilla Peak Observatory in 45 minutes.
The girl taking a picture with a Kodak camera that you had to go to Walgreens to get developed and winding back up just took me WAY the fuck back…holy shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I live on the same street as that Fronier restaraunt. Its bomb. Definately best sweet rolls and orange juice ever, could definitely bone on of those sweetrolls. Albucrazy.
I knew Dave Attell's work but lemme tell ya: we never got THIS show back in Olde Europe ! This is wild sh*t, no wonder folks in the comments are gushing. Massive thumbs-up !!! (edit: got to appreciate the switch between late night / titty bars and nerd pursuits appreciation, just sayin')
Back when this was on the air, I used to post stuff on eBay four nights a week and I’d be up till 3 AM Eastern time because that’s when eBay shut down. And insomniac was one of the things I had on the two while I was posting. I didn’t get that much work done during his show because I was riveted on the screen.
You always remember the show being all booze and drunk women but in reality it's usually Dave stuck hanging out with a bunch of nocturnal nerds. Bridge operators, transmitter hunters, guys at the Chicago Sci Fi con hanging out in a hotel looking at pictures from the Hubble telescope, that museum guy with the tea and slideshow... Wholesome program.
When they describe an airplane going down and them finding the transmitter that way…seems crazy these days…imagine dudes with antennas in their hands trying to find a downed airplane transmitter
Back when Comedy Central was the best network on TV.
Late 90s early 2000s was peak comedy central definitely.
That's right 👍
It kept me alive in highschool. Seriously, it was all I had to look forward to for those years. Thank God the quality was peaking with this, Reno, Chappelle...

Hearing the winding of the flash cameras and the video format, God I miss these days. Albuquerque representin 505. Dave Attell, we freakin love you!!

Always reminds me of summers during high school when I could stay up as late as I wanted during the week. And smoking weed out my bedroom window, and then watching all the late night Comedy Central shows

One of my favorite comedians and one of my all time favorite bands in the same screen. Nice.
Looking back I realize how much of an impact this show had on me in a positive way. There's all sorts of people in the world. Dont judge or make fun of anyone. Have a good time and be yourself. Dont drink Jager.

You must have had some good drugs back in the 90s because the first episode of this show came out in 2001
@@alexb8560 Insomniac? Really? ... God, those were REAL GOOD DRUGS ... or "time travel"!? ... ;)
As a burqueno and avid drinker in 2003, Dave did a great job hitting the "spots" lots of nostalgia from my bar crawling days. That said there's no possible way Dave made it from Sonny's, to the Frontier, to Capilla Peak Observatory in 45 minutes.
I've seen him in Albuquerque a couple times. "How close are we to Santa Fe? No I mean emotionally. Nervous breakdown, divorce..."
One of the best comments I've seen on these videos: "bro cellphones ruined people."
I feel you bro, I feel you. Deuces
The girl taking a picture with a Kodak camera that you had to go to Walgreens to get developed and winding back up just took me WAY the fuck back…holy shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The 90s were great
The first episode was aired in 2001. Even TV cameras didn't have the best quality at the beginning of this century lol
What a gem of a show
I thought I had seen all of these, but happily I was wrong. This was great!
Legendary show. Oh how good the verse once was..

This is Dave's best stand up special to date
This isn’t a special. Lol
Loved that show
I live on the same street as that Fronier restaraunt. Its bomb. Definately best sweet rolls and orange juice ever, could definitely bone on of those sweetrolls. Albucrazy.
Tv is just so bad now. This show was so simple yet so great
Wait! I got to see two legends in one video! Yeah baby!
5:35 look at what that one guy mimes when he asks “so what do you guys do after the show?”
And he’s now dead…how about that

Insomniac fkn ruled.
I would get so drunk watching this.
All it's missing is the Girls Gone Wild music playing at each commercial break
Not sure i could handle the end-to-end action of a transmitter hunt. Those guys are off the wall
😂
We need a 25 yr reunion for the people that got interviewed
I wish they would invent a time machine already so i can go back 2 this era. The future blows
The joke about the moon being a the hooker of the galaxy was hilarious
Dave. We gotta talk.
Come to Worcester,ma.
Thanks dude.

God I wish comedy central was still like this
Ah yes, back when american society had some hope left to it. We went from telling jokes and being fun, to being a joke and becoming a loser.
