Those games look really bad for what they are. If you look without any sort of Glasses, its bad. Real bad. I am so happy basculin and stantler, they finally getting love. Also, love the fact that these two are a good counter to zacian(basculegion) and calyrex(wyrdeer) Water Ghost is so good typing, i hope it gets either swift swim or adaptability, would be one of the best partner to ogre.
I wonder how it will evolve. It probably will be just leveling, but I can just imagine needing to have a full party of dead basculin and one live one to evolve
I think it's more of just having the Pokémon just appear there. But they revealed the new formes and Open-flying so early and really seem to be going all out with this amazing title. So you maybe right, they can easily still surprise us on this showing

It's because then there were more land and open space for them to begin with, but also there became a hunt for pkmn so of course are gonna hide unless you get too close.
10:08 In gen 3, you had to learn Braille to find the Regis, I don’t think it’s a big deal to put some statues in a game to find Pokémon, plus you don’t need to slather honey on a tree to find a munchlax, this will be way easier👌

@@Shalakor Erm, what? That has nothing to do with the game; it really doesn't take much effort to just make 'Normal' sized models in a game, especially one 15 years on. Just look at ORAS; that's a prefect tribute to gen3 and that's almost a decade old!
The chibi to full model part is why they call it a "faithful remake". From turning the pixelated game that most of us grew up with, into a 3D game with 3D models. The view on the characters I always thought it was more of a birds eye kind of view, from an angle, on us. When I saw the chibi in look in the first trailer, it was questionable at first. But after awhile it grew on me. We're not going to be focusing on our small chibi self in game as much anyway. We're going to be more focused on the environment around our character. Looking for where to go, looking for sparkles in the underground, watching our Pokémon follow us, grass shakes if there will be any, looking out for other trainers, and reading dialogue. Basically stuff that catches the players eyes quickly.

Just wait a bit more, we might get even more information, or at the very least, when the game comes out and we find out that there's a new form of Arceus as a surprise? I was happy for the sinnoh remakes but the legends game brought me to tear up that was SO GOOD I was already hyped but that just increased 10x January 28th will be a legendary day for pokemon fans
@@champkmaq7510 if anything, i believe Legends Arceus was in development before SwSh even came out Would explain why they said “we want the next game to be the next Botw”, most likely they where so exited bout their big project that they forgot it was meant to be a surprise reveal thus they had to paraphrase it in the spot, which as we all know didnt go well with how SwSh ended up being After all, SwSh seem to have been first meant as a 3Ds game iirc, so the timeline lines up pretty well

Also we got the Manaphy Egg as the preorder Mystery Gift. Hopefully that means we get the return of interactive Mythical events (Shaymin on Spring Path, Darkrai on that Island that I can't remember cause I always get it mixed up with Cresselia's)

You shouldn't really criticise people for having a different opinion.Legends Arceus world looks really empty,the games have potential but there is a lot of reason to not like them.
I can understand why people were scared. The open worldish game only having a year and a half of time didn't seem like enough for the work they were going to have to put in. Especially since SWSH was lack luster graphics and models wise for a new console that made some controversial decisions that split their fanbase. The BDSP footage made it seem like a 1 for 1 game with nothing new added on top of a style nobody really jived with since they wanted to continue the trend of bigger/grander world. Even despite the updates to BDSP people still aren't that excited for the chibis so LoA needs to hit as many check boxes as it can and that's a lot of pressure on the dev team. The last thing pokemon wants is for its old fans with children to decide pokemon isn't "worth it" anymore because that's lost sales that could create a falling trend and hurt the franchise in the long run.
@@TheCatslock honestly, I think they did the perfect decision with BDSP's art style. First of all, it preserves the feeling of the older games and keeps the scale of everything. They look really good in my opinion! And also, the people that played Diamond and Pearl may not be kids anymore, but A: they still enjoy the chibi style and play it regardless, B: they'll just wait for Legends Arceus or C: They have kids that they can buy the game for. And I never got why people get so upset over the graphics anyway. It's not like Pokemon was ever known for its revolutionary graphics. Follow pokemon and upgraded underground shows they are paying attention to fan wants for sure. But when a game company makes their games, less controversy is the best policy and Nintendo despite SWSH record sales was not happy with being in the lime light like it was. Their being much more careful this time around with GameFreak.

Just try and hold of an emu of Platinum and save yourself the best part of $60. Honestly, I've played the originals and very little has changed 15 years on. Unless you're happy seeing 3-foot tall squashed up Cynthia in 2020 aswell, only now a bit more closer and clearer upto you.

Hisuian Growlithe is definitely rock type because in the beginning when the vulpix uses quick attack, there is a “not very effective” audio sound. Braviary is probably psychic flying based on a psychic move used.
Maybe something that's similar to catch combos in let's go, because you can catch mons without battle, or at least some. And i hope you can see shinies in the overworld! Don't know about BDSP though

I just hope the remakes will bring back the difficulty of the old games. I remember whem i first got dpp and i actually lost against certain trainers, gyms, and elite 4 and had to train up my team. Now you just run through the entire game in a couple hours
I’m honestly really happy with these trailers! They’ve done a lot more to enhance the Sinnoh experience in BDSP than I anticipated, and I’m really psyched on all the new features and graphical updates we’ve seen so far. It looks great, the following mechanic is awesome, the hideaways with wandering Pokémon in the Underground are super cool, and the game just looks and feels so much more fresh. Definitely exceeded my expectations in terms of additional features, and there’s definitely bonus points for the Poké Ball and battle sendoff customization. Arceus is dope, too- the village was much larger than I initially thought, the new forms and evolutions are super clean, the crafting mechanic is a bit of a breath of fresh air, and the game’s direction feels a bit more clear. I think there’s still quite a bit they haven’t shown us in terms of plot and additional features in this title, so I’m anticipating the release even more so we can finally figure out more about them. Super stoked to get my hands on these games!

@@Yuri-kh8wv U missed a few points: The underground was expanded and it now has small dungeons with pokemon that will only be found there and they are on the overworld like SWSH which was not previously on the originals. Also the Underground has Online which the original never had. Pokemon Contest was completely changed into some sort of Rythym Minigame which is very different from ur normal contest on the originals. Also it seems these remakes are using the Platinum dex which already makes it MILES better than the original DP. So I wouldn't say it's the "same" these changes are actually really good.
The thunder strike in the trailer...remember the opening scene in d/p? But no way they would do something actually interesting, even if I'm surprised that pokemon actually show aggressive behavior. It's almost like they want a more adult version with more depth.

Unlikely. If that were the case, the first forms would have been different too. It would be too weird looking for a normal looking starter to just suddenly veer in a completely different direction in typing and design, and wouldn't make much sense either.

True. I'm not holding my breath on that, but I would like it too. Especially since two of the starters remain a single type throughout their evolution line, so I suppose they could try to find a way to add in a secondary type. Well, all we can do is wait and see and hope.

The Braviary form and Basculin evolution are SO COOL. I wasn’t expecting any of my Gen 5 friends to appear at all (besides Oshawott) since it’s in the Sinnoh region and not Unova, but I’m happily suprised. Most likely Braviary is going to be Flying/Psychic which is cool and Basculeigon is going to be Water/Ghost which is another really cool type combo. There’s almost garunteed to be more forms and evolutions other than Braviary, Basculeigon, Growlithe, and the Stantler evo and I can’t wait to see what

Whole point is immersion - otherwise why update at all, it's a waste of time? For me; this gives me absolutely nothing over the Original. In fact, they'll probably ''jazz up'' the tunes like they always do in re-mixes and I don't want to part of that messing about - I loved the original score and want those 100% preserved. Had they even done that, I'd may have considered but like Links Awakening, they won't. I want my memories and Legacy of gen4 preserved, not tarnished. Hope that clarifies stuff. But - it's 'right' for you; that's your opinion and no one is stopping you to drop your $60 on it. So - go right ahead!
The Arceus stuff was freaking AMAZING and I still believe megas will be in BDSP because they didn't show any fully evolved forms of pokemon that are being asked for megas ex. Luxray, Starters, etc. Also I think they're going to do the Sword and Shield thing where the first gym or two aren't going to have mega evolutions but the rest will similarly to how gigantamaxs were. I super hype for both games though especially Arceus with new evos and forms it's going to be so hype
I know that they didn’t add mega evolution to sword and shield either. Although, Dynamax Raids will be missed. I enjoyed Dynamax Raids a lot more than trading and battling haha I can tell you that much. It made shiny hunting more fun too. Also, the Y Comm was much easier to navigate than the Union Room.

The Pokedex detail is amazing and makes sense, as they knew very little about Pokemon back then, by the looks of it. Imagine being the first person to encounter a Pikachu - running back into town, yelling about a yellow mouse that shot lightning out of its face.
I mean, considering they do live in that world, I doubt they have never encountered them before. The poke balls wouldn't exist otherwise. But yeah, documenting and learning more about them as the primary story focus as opposed to gyms is actually a really interesting idea.
what id like to know is how you fight on top of the water because not all pokemon are aquatic and it would be weird to just have them stand over the water
Maybe they make it interesting by limiting what you can use in those scenarios to flying or aquatic Pokemon in order to keep it realistic. Or, since you can apparently ride Pokemon, yours will stand on the one you are riding in order to fight. Or they can jump out of the water to attack.

Hisuian Growlithe are based on the Lion Dog(Komainu) statues commonly found in Japan. and he is such a cute pokemon. Pokemon legends is getting very close to monster hunter here
8:46 well technically that's exactly how it is in Diamond 💎 Pearl & Platinum: when you do a battle they look like normal people but after the battle you go back to the chibi look in the overworld. I'm currently playing Platinum & I can see this is not wierd at all for BDSP to do this as well

The official website was saying that Stantler evo is normal/psychic, growlithe is rock/fire, basculegion is water/ghost, and braviary is psychic/flying!
@@ryansilvia188 Stanltler evos Normal Psychic isn't that good typing I think it can be Ice type because of its mountainous kinda looking with that mane kinda thing . And it can adapt it in mountain regions because it has a lot fur on it which can protect it from cold.

Yeah true, but also them having new forms would make them look that much, godly. Im hyped for both games but I was a little conflicted that they didn't get new forms. I mean they could pull a rayquaza or an ultra necrozma with the creation trio. However, those chances have dropped a little now. Also keep in mind they didn't actually show Dialga and Palkia in the actual game or any game footage which makes me believe since they didn't do that, there's still a chance. I mean hell they've done it with every other mascot from those games, but not with Dialga and Palkia in these remakes? Its just a little small speculation.

In gen 3, you had to learn Braille to find the Regis, I don’t think it’s a big deal to put some statues in a game to find Pokémon, plus you don’t need to slather honey on a tree to find a munchlax, this will be way easier👌

That Cynthia model was thing long before Brilliant Diamond/Shinning Pearl, since chibi merch like key chains, figurines, and such have been popular for decades.
@@Shalakor Erm, what? That has nothing to do with the game; it really doesn't take much effort to just make 'Normal' sized models in a game, especially one 15 years on. Just look at ORAS; that's a prefect tribute to gen3 and that's almost a decade old!
The chibi to full model part is why they call it a "faithful remake". From turning the pixelated game that most of us grew up with, into a 3D game with 3D models. The view on the characters I always thought it was more of a birds eye kind of view, from an angle, on us. When I saw the chibi in look in the first trailer, it was questionable at first. But after awhile it grew on me. We're not going to be focusing on our small chibi self in game as much anyway. We're going to be more focused on the environment around our character. Looking for where to go, looking for sparkles in the underground, watching our Pokémon follow us, grass shakes if there will be any, looking out for other trainers, and reading dialogue. Basically stuff that catches the players eyes quickly.

Both BDSP and Legends honestly look incredible. BDSP looks so much better then it did before and Legends looks revolutionary for the franchise
the buildings looked like lego blocks and can't stand the chibi look on the over world. Rest of the games looked fine.

I can understand why people were scared. The open worldish game only having a year and a half of time didn't seem like enough for the work they were going to have to put in. Especially since SWSH was lack luster graphics and models wise for a new console that made some controversial decisions that split their fanbase. The BDSP footage made it seem like a 1 for 1 game with nothing new added on top of a style nobody really jived with since they wanted to continue the trend of bigger/grander world. Even despite the updates to BDSP people still aren't that excited for the chibis so LoA needs to hit as many check boxes as it can and that's a lot of pressure on the dev team. The last thing pokemon wants is for its old fans with children to decide pokemon isn't "worth it" anymore because that's lost sales that could create a falling trend and hurt the franchise in the long run.
@@TheCatslock honestly, I think they did the perfect decision with BDSP's art style. First of all, it preserves the feeling of the older games and keeps the scale of everything. They look really good in my opinion! And also, the people that played Diamond and Pearl may not be kids anymore, but A: they still enjoy the chibi style and play it regardless, B: they'll just wait for Legends Arceus or C: They have kids that they can buy the game for.
And I never got why people get so upset over the graphics anyway. It's not like Pokemon was ever known for its revolutionary graphics. Over no national Dex and stuff like that I totally get being upset, but it feels like the people forgot what Pokemon always was: A turn based rpg about collecting more fighters, with more or less good graphics and a mediocre story

@@BlueSodaPop_ I'm not disagreeing at all with BDSP art style. If anything it made it far easier a project to manage so resources could be put were they needed to be. Follow pokemon and upgraded underground shows they are paying attention to fan wants for sure. But when a game company makes their games, less controversy is the best policy and Nintendo despite SWSH record sales was not happy with being in the lime light like it was. Their being much more careful this time around with GameFreak.

Hisuian Growlithe is definitely rock type because in the beginning when the vulpix uses quick attack, there is a “not very effective” audio sound. Braviary is probably psychic flying based on a psychic move used.
It looks like it will stay a Physical attacker, since that looked like Psycho Cut.
My mind has been changed on Legends Arceus, looks really good and I’m digging the Hisui forms, I think I’ll get this game.
Hope we get a new shiny hunt method that is actually useful and not broken.
Maybe something that's similar to catch combos in let's go, because you can catch mons without battle, or at least some. And i hope you can see shinies in the overworld!

I’m honestly really happy with these trailers! They’ve done a lot more to enhance the Sinnoh experience in BDSP than I anticipated, and I’m really psyched on all the new features and graphical updates we’ve seen so far. It looks great, the following mechanic is awesome, the hideaways with wandering Pokémon in the Underground are super cool, and the game just looks and feels so much more fresh. Definitely exceeded my expectations in terms of additional features, and there’s definitely bonus points for the Poké Ball and battle sendoff customization.
Arceus is dope, too- the village was much larger than I initially thought, the new forms and evolutions are super clean, the crafting mechanic is a bit of a breath of fresh air, and the game’s direction feels a bit more clear. I think there’s still quite a bit they haven’t shown us in terms of plot and additional features in this title, so I’m anticipating the release even more so we can finally figure out more about them. Super stoked to get my hands on these games!

@@Yuri-kh8wv U missed a few points: The underground was expanded and it now has small dungeons with pokemon that will only be found there and they are on the overworld like SWSH which was not previously on the originals. Also the Underground has Online which the original never had. Pokemon Contest was completely changed into some sort of Rythym Minigame which is very different from ur normal contest on the originals. Also it seems these remakes are using the Platinum dex which already makes it MILES better than the original DP. So I wouldn't say it's the "same" these changes are actually really good.
Plot twist: Cyrus travels back in time with Dialga and he is our main antagonist. Arceus is trying to fix the timeline.
Or the events from BDSP when Cyrus was trying to create a new world had an effect on the past
The thunder strike in the trailer...remember the opening scene in d/p? But no way they would do something actually interesting, even if I'm surprised that pokemon actually show aggressive behavior. It's almost like they want a more adult version with more depth.

Unlikely. If that were the case, the first forms would have been different too. It would be too weird looking for a normal looking starter to just suddenly veer in a completely different direction in typing and design, and wouldn't make much sense either.

True. I'm not holding my breath on that, but I would like it too. Especially since two of the starters remain a single type throughout their evolution line, so I suppose they could try to find a way to add in a secondary type. Well, all we can do is wait and see and hope.

The Braviary form and Basculin evolution are SO COOL. I wasn’t expecting any of my Gen 5 friends to appear at all (besides Oshawott) since it’s in the Sinnoh region and not Unova, but I’m happily suprised. Most likely Braviary is going to be Flying/Psychic which is cool and Basculeigon is going to be Water/Ghost which is another really cool type combo. There’s almost garunteed to be more forms and evolutions other than Braviary, Basculeigon, Growlithe, and the Stantler evo and I can’t wait to see what

@@savagejack5714 Well, it's obviously wrong for me and a lot of people who share the common view; I feel these ''chibi''-makes (like what happened to Links Awakening) ruins the ''modernisation'' that uses 'normal-sized' characters. Whole point is immersion - otherwise why update at all, it's a waste of time? For me; this gives me absolutely nothing over the Original. In fact, they'll probably ''jazz up'' the tunes like they always do in re-mixes and I don't want to part of that messing about - I loved the original score and want those 100% preserved. Had they even done that, I'd may have considered but like Links Awakening, they won't. I want my memories and Legacy of gen4 preserved, not tarnished. Hope that clarifies stuff.

The Arceus stuff was freaking AMAZING and I still believe megas will be in BDSP because they didn't show any fully evolved forms of pokemon that are being asked for megas ex. Luxray, Starters, etc. Also I think they're going to do the Sword and Shield thing where the first gym or two aren't going to have mega evolutions but the rest will similarly to how gigantamaxs were. I super hype for both games though especially Arceus with new evos and forms it's going to be so hype

I know that they didn’t add mega evolution to sword and shield either. Although, Dynamax Raids will be missed. I enjoyed Dynamax Raids a lot more than trading and battling haha I can tell you that much. It made shiny hunting more fun too. Also, the Y Comm was much easier to navigate than the Union Room.

The Pokedex detail is amazing and makes sense, as they knew very little about Pokemon back then, by the looks of it.
Imagine being the first person to encounter a Pikachu - running back into town, yelling about a yellow mouse that shot lightning out of its face.
I mean, considering they do live in that world, I doubt they have never encountered them before. The poke balls wouldn't exist otherwise. But yeah, documenting and learning more about them as the primary story focus as opposed to gyms is actually a really interesting idea.

what id like to know is how you fight on top of the water because not all pokemon are aquatic and it would be weird to just have them stand over the water
Maybe they make it interesting by limiting what you can use in those scenarios to flying or aquatic Pokemon in order to keep it realistic. Or, since you can apparently ride Pokemon, yours will stand on the one you are riding in order to fight. Or they can jump out of the water to attack.

The official website was saying that Stantler evo is normal/psychic, growlithe is rock/fire, basculegion is water/ghost, and braviary is psychic/flying!
@@ryansilvia188 Stanltler evos Normal Psychic isn't that good typing I think it can be Ice type because of its mountainous kinda looking with that mane kinda thing . And it can adapt it in mountain regions because it has a lot fur on it which can protect it from cold.

Yeah true, but also them having new forms would make them look that much, godly. Im hyped for both games but I was a little conflicted that they didn't get new forms. I mean they could pull a rayquaza or an ultra necrozma with the creation trio. However, those chances have dropped a little now. Also keep in mind they didn't actually show Dialga and Palkia in the actual game or any game footage which makes me believe since they didn't do that, there's still a chance. I mean hell they've done it with every other mascot from those games, but not with Dialga and Palkia in these remakes? Its just a little small speculation.

They canonically revealed that when you blacked out from a wild pokemon in the old games: That's cuz you got slapped up by one.

Since the last games we had that style in was ORAS... If I remember correctly one of the selling points from people online, or criticism, don't remember, don't care, of Sun and Moon was the fact that there were no more chibi models at all.
