These are great tips! I’m also a mother of 3 and one of my favorite tips is to buy a towel (I got black because the floor of my car is black) and lay it over the floor in the back seat. It catches sand, goldfish, everything! Then when it gets gross you just fold it up (shake it out if it needs it) throw it in the wash and replace!

Another tip is to keep like one or two handled laundry baskets in the trunk, when you shop you just chuck everything in there then when you need to take it all in the house you just take the basket and then put in back once it's empty. You can also store things in them that stay in the car and its stops them from rolling around

My only thing about the registration and ownership being in the glove box. Not saying it *has* to stay there, but if you're pulled over by police I don't know if you can get out and grab what you need from the trunk or somewhere inaccessible from the front seat. So just be careful about that one.

The tissue holder on the visor works better when you clip it to where the tissues are easy to pull with the visor closed...facing out, not folded up in the visor. That's just my personal opinion of how I used to use mine. I had these for our cars 20 years ago. They were the brand Tempo. I have a cloth rag basket in my front passenger seat for easy reach tissues etc. I'm the only one who ever drives my car. I rarely have anyone ride with me. If I do I put it in the back seat or trunk. It has never fell off the seat. My seats are cloth, so it doesn't slide. The one that hooks is a good idea though. I bought mine in gray from target to match my car seats. It has handles on each side as well. My glovebox and door pockets have other essentials. I hid my garage door opener years ago. I have my insurance card digital, but not my registration. My center console is my car trash can. I line it with a small plastic bag and it actually holds a lot. I also use a vent phone holder. It keeps my phone out of the way. However, there is a place to lay it with a built in sliding door cover. I keep a few extra things in there, even though that's were the phone outlets are located. I use a spiral cord for my phone. I love that thing. It's never in the way or hanging wonky. I have four of the target collapsible cloth cubes in my truck. They hold small throws, jumper cables, personal hygiene items grocery store reusable bags, etc...they are so great, and stay in place perfectly with the way my trunk is made. I have the plastic slim pockets for between my seats. I can stick napkins and other slim stuff in them. I no longer lose stuff down the cracks. I bought them at the dollar tree plus section. Lots of great tips in your video. I don't use the purse hook for my purse. I hang umbrellas and baby wipes with a hand loop. Since it's just me in the car I place my purse on the front passenger seat. My car came with a fist aid kit. It's in one of the cubes in the trunk of the car.

PLEASE keep your insurance card and registration in a “easy to access” place. I keep in my arm rest. Honestly it’s essential that you have it where it’s handy. You’re not gonna want to get in the trunk or in the back to get yours insurance and registration if you need it in an emergency. 😬

  • @lindaroyal8161

I was always taught to never keep your registration in your glove box or car. If someone breaks in your car then they have access to your personal information, home address, name, etc.
I saw a hack where someone used a pool noodle cut to fit, close up the gap between the seat and counsel.
I like the expandable, multi pocket container, so many uses.
I also have an empty wet wipes box in the counsel, keep a supply of random things so I don't have to carry them in a purse, band aids, wet wipes, safety pins, panty liners, hair ties, what ever works for your life style. There if you need something but not a need to carry in a purse every day.

In my glove box, it has a couple separate compartments, so I’ve put a small first aid kit, a sample big black garbage bag bc it came compact in a little plastic bag, wipes, diaper trash bags (for any kind of mess plus’s they smell like powder lol), a small zipper bag of feminine products with individual wipes, a vinyl bag with a zipper I got from dollar tree to hold my napkins and straws, it also has small pockets on the side that I put travel Tylenol and ibuprofen in along with children’s chewable ibuprofen and Tylenol. In a ziploc bag I have extra condiments. I also keep a couple wrapped utensils. I have my tire pressure gauge, and a flat flashlight from the dollar tree.
In my center console I a tray that slides back and forth with spots for change, I also keep a multi tool knife, a zipper pouch with flossers, a couple dollar bills, and a travel toothbrush and toothpaste. In the bottom of the console I keep a travel size of lotion, hand sanitizer, a nail file, 2 pens, a mechanical pencil, travel tissues, travel deodorant, chapstick, and more travel ibuprofen.
For my 8 year old I created some travel art packs for her from the dollar tree. I bought 3 of these cute plastic file pouches with a button and put blank and lined paper in one, sketch pads and color sheets in another, left the other empty so she could put her completed art work in that one, got a little lunch box and put her crayons in it, little note pad, little headphone zipper pouch (dollar tree) for her headphones, pencil case for pens, pencils, and colored pencils, coupon book to hold stickers (again both from dollar tree), and then a clipboard to put in the back of the seat.
I keep an umbrella that flips inside out and is auto open/close next to my driver seat, lap blankets (my mom crocheted) in the net of my trunk during winter, extra grocery bags for trash/misc, reusable grocery bags.

I will most definitely get the tissue holder and I have a similar bag to the one in your passenger seat that would be perfect in our vehicle that has sports gear in it for practices! I wasn't even using it when I could have been all along. 😅

I have always heard you should keep your registration in your wallet. If your car gets stolen or broken into it could be a problem. Too much info for a valet and easy to access if you have an accident or stopped by the police. I do plan to empty my glove compartment and make more room for the things I would need more often. Thanks for the tip!

I removed my registration and took a photo of it and have it in my phone. I don’t like having anything with my address in my car in case it ever gets stolen, at least they don’t know where I live, especially since my garage door opener is also in the car.
