Shot 1 yesterday. Had it for dinner tonight the way you said to cook it. Usually would have it as raw fish. Even the Mrs thought it was great. Thanks for the great tip.
I have been targeting Parore up north in Whangaparaoa for the last 5 or so years on fly and also under float using Centrepin reel (ie the same methods that our Australian cousins use) Ive noticed seasonal trends with Parore populations. They seem to be quite a transient fish and move in and out of the estuary systems. Someone mentioned to me that June July was breeding season but I think it's later than that. Have noticed that thay will also agressively take a very small soft bait during those times. They are a very under valued fish and amazing fighters on light baits ! Get into it!
I think they move with water temps a well.I have caught them on little green seals fur nymphs and random ones on small soft baits (Not Targeted) If you use little 2cm soft baits in green with size 1 or smaller rig heads you would catch a few. Thanks
The best thing to do would be to jump in the water with a cheap Hawaiian sling spear and pick and choose your parore!

That's great. They are really nice if you catch them in good water
Thank you for sharing and awesome video! Where can we find those green weed? I only can find the big and thick one. Thank you
where are you based?
Best to use burly when fishing for luderick, sand and finely chopped green weed and tossed into the water every so often. Makes all the difference 😉
Great tip .We always burley. We find corn and mussels works well.
