The music really took me out of it as a fan. Can’t even imagine how the dancers actually felt. On the flip side, most of those dancers compete in Red Bull events so maybe they don’t care as much. Idk. DJ was ass.

USA definitely took this , alot of people just like anybody other than the states. But you can't deny, that groove factor , that American grit, shidd we are culture and style and thsts whyt it spreaded

Idk what the DJ was doing ir the rules or boundaries to what he could play was, but music at all redbull events could be better. The crowd was dead and as dancers in the dance community, we have to be sure to hype. Same issue in NC. The only style right now that is live is krump. That is my opinion of the styles I've done here. This really isn't about who won, its more about damn why couldn't this have been more live. There should be no US/Europe hate in here at all. Yall can sit here and talk about who won and who lost but we're trying to help the entire culture win bc quite frankly...it had some moments, but like i said before this battle was very low on energy.
to be corny i think we all lost. That is some of the best talent in the world and we had to watch them effortlessly adjust to so many let downs. Like you said this could have been such a win but the energy,the music ,and the professionalism were lacking

I love 'traditional' popping but hate Nelsons style. Someone please help me understand
I think it is because Nelson poses are not so aesthetically pleasant.

Nelson is just a great dancer, and his groove reflects that. It's not orthodox for popping by any means.
Things like flow, groove, soul are hip-hop fundamentals, but most poppers will just focus strictly on technique and base everything around one style.
Which is why Nelsons style maybe looks so weird to you if you're not familiar, because groove itself isn't common in popping.
It very much looks like he’s using someone else’s framework to dance rather than make his own in popping. You can see the influences like boogie frantick in his dance heavy

The styles are insanely different, and G-Style was shunned for so many years, so for Nelson to take from that, is highly implausible.
And that's not even going into to the whole history G-Style and EB have with each other.
Especially earlier on, it's more like Nelson was inspired by Poppin Pete, Skeeter, Boogaloo Sam, Jazzy J etc.
