Kinda mind-blowing how a 2006 B9TL is considered ‘vintage’. Here in Melbourne we have Scania L94UBs dating from 1999 that are still going strong.

These magnificent beasts, they were the very first wheelchair-accessible buses in Singapore. ♿ They sparked the dawn of a new era of inclusive public bus transit, whereby over the years, buses evolve with features of accessible boarding and easy access. 🚌
The Volvo B9TL CDGEs are the grandfather of all future buses in Singapore. Cherish them while the time lasts, they will be wiped off the face of the earth once time runs out......😢

Most of the CDGEs have been retired early since 19 March, and replaced with new batch of MAN A95 Batch 5s.

More of the Volvo B9TL CDGE is gonna get laid up and scrapped, there was also one Volvo B9TL CDGE that got de registered in 2010 because it was burn at a fire at Ang Mo Kio Depot along with 3 Leyland Olympian, 1 Volvo Olympian Batch 3 and the Volvo Super Olympian Volgren Demontsrator on March 2010
