@@79raregold The drawing room and front room at first floor heats up during sun rise for couple of hours thats the only issue we face , Drawing room usually remains empty so no issue there , and yes we do have to use lights during day time also but its a small tradeoff , You won't understand the difference until you live in both kind of houses, Since I have experience of both therefore I can tell
If it is north facing then you can give more windows to your elevation. If it is south facing, you will need shades over windows. North facing will be good idea
Assalamualaikum , you said east or north facing houses are good for warm weather of Karachi Lahore but why people are always crazy about west facing plots , Karachi main to air hamesha west say asti hai.Recently we have bought a plot in behria hill area but I am worried k yeh ghar airy nahin hoga because of east facing my family says east facing plots are best on hills is it true??

south and west front is good for summer in hot region because wind blows from south and west. in winter wind comes from north and east

@@apkafan8004 in that case isn’t the best sun direction for us the South facing windows? Less sun in summer n more in winter?
@@79raregold Well currently I am living in East facing house and I found it much cooler than the South facing house I previously lived

But don’t you get sun for earlier half of day n later have to turn on lights even during day time sometimes?

Yes I think you are right.
what should i do if my plot is south facing? should i put more windows in west or north?
The best is to get it designed from an architect. He or she will cater to this issue and suggest you according to the city and layout
