The eye-catching octagonal architecture of the buildings really are a sight to be seen.
They have been designed to balance the energy flowing throughout the space, creating a truly peaceful atmosphere to unwind and relax in.
We stayed in a premium suite room overlooking the beautiful nature of The Wakanda.
Our suite room was spacious with lovely details such as the beautiful bamboo roof and the stone bathtub. The suite features a stocked mini bar, electronic safe deposit box, complimentary bottled mineral water, hot & cold shower and bath with an array of bathroom amenities, free wireless internet.
Some remarks: The room is not soundproof we can hear the other guests talking from our room. The light in the room is not well distributed, the bathroom area could use some better light but the room is lovely decorated. Each delicate detail from the handcrafted art hanging in the room to the stunning bamboo roof tells a story of gratitude to the natural world and shows a passion to display its beauty. The View from our balcony was so beautiful and peaceful.
The Restaurant was spacious and serves a diverse menu with local and international dishes. Fresh ingredients and very good quality.
Some Remarks: The staff was very busy with each other, so they sometimes lose sight of the guests.
You have to pay extra for cappuccino with your breakfast.
The Spa: Treatments are from an high standard, professional therapists
The swimming pool is an eye-catcher - Overlooking the ricefields it is an ideal place to relax and enjoy simply sip a glass of cocktail. The Wakanda - A natural hotel where you can sit back, relax and just enjoy the vibes.
Some Remark: If you want to order some drinks of lunch they don’t have pool service, so you have to go to the reception to ask for order.
Also when you are ready with lunch the food is staying all afternoon at your table, so no clean up from the staff, it makes it look messy.
This hotel is 15 min drive from Ubud Center.
You can also take the complimentary bike to explore the surroundings, beautiful rice fields and temple. Especially the sunset over the ricefields
Don’t forget to book the excursion to the Sumampan Waterfall it is a really amazing place and not overcrowded. Beautiful walk also through the rice fields.
During our stay nearby construction work was going on since 8.00 am, so perhaps contact the hotel if it is still ongoing.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and this hotel certainly has potential but some finishing touches still need to be made.
