  • As we celebrate our anniversary, we had the honour of Abba Amalew Amlak, Thau-Thau Haramanuba, and Mkhanyakude Yungdros Amlak discuss religion, spirituality and the magic of the universe in relation to self and the collective consciousness.

I once told some of my friends that we (men and women) are co-creators, we make man man (which is our children) in our image. A child will always resemble someone in their lineage.

This was so exciting to watch, wish I was there. I have a few episodes to catch up on I'm so happy to have my fave podcast to binge on.
The Shaka story was very interesting and thought provoking because I thought (according to the movies) that he had devised the strategy to use longer spears that could be thrown from great distances to defeat the British. Of course this was before he became king, when he was still a ward/warrior of the Mthethwa clan. I think a bit of clarity on the bold statement of him not having fought against whites is needed. Give thanks🙏

The tribalism is not even in our languages proverbs eg. Induku enhle igawulwa ezizweni. If there was tribalism, no such proverb would exist in Zulu if they had to marry Zulus only.
And its true other tribes histories are not told (not told in full). But as per my knowledge the Zulu family started with the brothers Zulu and Qwabe who later became their own kingdoms. I always wonder why they chose "Zulu" kingdoms over other kingdoms names. I would think there is something not adding up with the Zulus history from European history but from oral history, the kingdom was stolen and was never for Zulu (s) (the younger brother)/tribe. Shaka is seriously a character to be investigated for truth.
Otherwise, I have noticed throughout the African continent any king getting more praise and recognition from Europeans is not because they were for their people but because Europeans gained something by their relationship with those kings, presidents etc.

Ditto. The panel format can be more structured in the future, e.g. each person given set minutes to speak on a topic/theme uninterrupted based on the significant issues/questions that have arisen from past episodes, for example. This then followed by QnA. One of the Electribes' content producers could even serve as a neutral moderator to facilitate the flow of the discussion.
p.s. I like how Abba involved the audience right in the beginning.

Hindus proudly worship the Gods which their ancestors worshipped thousands of years ago, before any Abrahamic religion was born. They have continued their traditions and customs even after the onslaught by Islamic invaders and Christian missionaries.
In Hinduism, an Idol represents a medium to connect with the divine. Like a cross or holy relic, an idol is also sacred. Not any stone/idol can be worshipped. The material of the idol, the way it is constructed is important. Before it can be worshipped, it is purified and the energy of the divine is invoked in it via holy mantras which have gone unchanged for more than 5000 years.
Hinduism is like a tree with many branches. Each branch representing a different path/sect/philosophy. None of the paths demean the other. In Santana Dharma (or the eternal religion according to Hindus), it is believed that it is not necessary that all people have to follow the same path. Like a single shoe size won’t fit all, a single path might not be perfect for all people.
The sages of different sects of Hinduism had different experience of the divine. The energy was the same, but the experience was different. Due to their experience, different paths were laid down. Eg. Those who experienced the divine in it’s absolute raw form described it as Shiva, those who experienced in infinite love and wisdom described it as Vishnu/Krishna/Rama/Narayana, those who experienced a personal relationship with it like a child does with her mother described it as divine mother or Durga/Adi Shakti.
In Bhagvad Gita, Krishna beautifully explains. He says that he is Shiva, he is Vishnu, he is Durga, he is Ganesha, he is Rama etc. As his devotee wants to experience him, he manifests that form. He further goes on to say like as all rivers meet into the ocean, so does all paths lead to him.
It is high time that Africans also start a movement to decolonize their minds and own up to their rich culture. While doing so be humble, tolerant and accept the difference among one another. Like what the Hindus did. If Africans can do this, they’ll be able to revive the glory of the ancient African culture.

@@andrewtadeo8139 No it’s not. Some of it is part of history books. A lot is still not documented and will get lost forever. What percentage of Africans follow ancient African culture ?? I don’t think it’s even a mere 10%. Religion and Culture is a living entity. It needs followers. Without them it dies. Having few symbols does not mean that the culture is alive. I have the tapestry of the Tree of Life in my living room. It’s for the positivity that I have kept it.
How will the souls of the descendants of Africans feel when they know that today their culture is reduced to a mere art piece ? The culture and tradition which they followed for millennia was shun by their own blood. The religious practices and culture which they protected with their blood was bulldozed and foreign belief systems have enslaved their bloodline. Africans adopted foreign belief systems because they were ashamed of their own belief systems. The white man made them believe. The west had the money, it made the Africans believe that economic strength is spiritual strength. They used their culture to enslave the minds and rule Africans. Blood is spilled in Africa today in the name of Christ and the Prophet. Neither of whom were born in Africa. Their descendants have enslaved Africans. Africans do their bidding. The west has always used religion for political reasons. It continues to do so. But people have shut their eyes.
Like an old African saying goes- “When the missionaries arrived in Africa, they had the Bible and we had the land. They told us to close our eyes in prayer. When we opened our eyes, we had the Bible and they had the land”

I always follow and love your content, great deal! But the Zulu story, is misinterpreted:
    * Nazareth Church, is one of the congregation where you can be beaten when you're crossing the line.
    * Do we rate the Kings through battles with Whites?
    * If you say today Zulus are the only nation that has Amabutho, so are you saying they have Amabutho from propaganda?
    * Those who knows Zulu traditions will tell you that Kingship is not owned by an individual or a family, they call it Isihlalo, it is the community that decides if you're worth for Kingship, and that's why it is the nation that pays lobola to iNdlovukazi that will give birth to the King
    * According to this narrative that Zulu story is propaganda, according to you own understanding which native nation has the largest population in SA
*Please do not read myself as someone who doesn't believe in propaganda, coz I do, coz it is the propaganda, in our life time, that has portrayed Jacob Zuma as corrupt, but there are no court verdicts that is proving that, and that's why if we look at the definition of State Capture,, no court was captured instead the only court verdict against him was Inkandla case which happened during his very own term, done by the Public Protector of that time. So from those two, one can tell courts and PP's office was not captured. Yeah I wish you can get more information from a knowledgeable Zulu, who will tell you that what's written about the Zulus is not the actuality, those who will tell you that Zulu people didn't have surnames, King Shaka was not Shaka Zulu, but Shaka kaSenzangakhona!

The Bible stole some Bantu practices and made them look different. When you talk of ukuphahla you use candles, snuff, umqombothi, incense etc.
When you read in the Bible what was done in the temple. Altar outside where the bull, etc was sacrificed. Bantus use goats for such. Inside the temple as per the Bible there are 7 candles, show bread and bowl with water. Isn't that setup similar to Bantus ukuphahla except that to phahla isn't done in the temple but emsamo per family.
The practices that Jewish people don't do because "the temple" was destroyed however Bantus still phahla with candles, etc emsamo and are not waiting for "one high priest" to enter the temple on behalf of a nation and plead with God.
    Just my two cents.

They don't understand Mono heno pantheism, and tlhago is in the representation of that finite nature one becomes multiplism and forming a union chain effect, sekgua, se norsman se re bolaya botlhale ba tlhago se re etsa badumedi ba maka, that is why Imhotep Asclepius said Heaven will disappear in kemet and then the knowledge that once was divine will breed confusion once in the hands of the foreigners, for that what was meant to be, will be misnomeric nomenclature totally losing its esoteric allegorical ideals, and misinterpretation will be the order of the day and mental subscription. That is why fear is taught in the orthodox Christianic churches, to form mental slavery and that is why when want to Question the status quo, we remember the fear doctrine in the Bible. Hence in revelations ,John the Baptist claims that the book is the only book you should read, so you don't hunger for more, these are fear doctrine propagandic institutionalization so more zombies can be formed and that you don't uproot and become the tree you are meant to be ZepTepi, the Springing One

Zulus are the most civilised, most peaceful, and the Strongest people in South Africa which makes sense why they are hated by ALL peoples here whether they are Black, White, or Indian.
Descendants of Egypt, the Philistines, and the Amorites whom are your Xhosas, Pedi, Sothos and Vendas will of course hate the descendants of the famous 12 Tribes of Israel whom are the Zulu nation that are lead by the royal family Zulu whom it is clear is a direct son of the famous King David of Judah. The Bible did prophecy that the 12 Tribes of Israel will always be hated by the nations of the world up until the Lord comes back with wrath to put all these other nations down and puts the Zulus as part of the 12 Tribes of Israel to rule over them.
