Have you found using the lighter leaving black residue on the heatshrink? I've found it an issue on occasion so just started running the barrel of the soldering iron near enough to shrink it instead - works quite well.
Nice, tidy build. Well done. Looks like you got lucky with the laptop battery. I usually need to break apart a couple due to at least one or more dead 18650 cells inside (which is why I got the batteries free). Can't argue with the cost, though.
