I am from Ireland and love Choctaw people. They donated $170 dollars to us Irish when we were starving in the famine in 1847. We have a monument called kindred spirits to the choctaw people in Ireland.
There is also a scholarship program for Choctaw to attend university in Ireland. Happy to know the help is still appreciated and remembered. I am glad our ancestors understood our similarities and the importance of your generations to come. The Irish have suffered enough.
im a member of the boy scouts of america and one of my favorite times of being a part of my troop is when we get to learn about Native Americans and how we use their survival tactics in current life and camping. They are truly some of most intelligent and educated people on the environment and how we were meant to live in it, its amazing.
I am one quarter Chah’ta, by my father’s father. Holler at me if you’ve been to the Pennington Creek falls, in the Chickasaw Nation’s Capital. It’s a sacred place for my family. My grandfather’s concrete shack still stands in the middle of the National Wildlife Preserve near there in South and East Oklahoma. ❤ I am honored by the Honor Song 2 displayed here. It was good to hear it in my soul again. When we’re not pretending, The Great Spirit made me one-quarter. Our ancestors came here during the last ice age while the Alaskan land bridge was still there. Sufficed to say, in all actuality, we’ve probably been here, in the Americas, for a minimum of 10,000 years, bright shining as the sun. And to think a quarter of me is that person. Respecting Nature prehistorically. It may not have been written down, because there was no need to store it outside of our heads. It comes from inside. The heart is the body’s drum, and The Great Spirit is still drumming in me. I am honored, thank you Great Spirit, for giving me this heritage. ❤ I still need to get my papers, but we’re still working on that… inheritance, but the proof remains in my blood. 🎉 I am so many things… Portuguese, Chah’ta, Irish, German, and Czech, and only God knows what else before all of that. It’s the melting pot. Now we are The Great Spirit of Mankind… stretch forth your hands 🙌 God calls from on High, to all people, for all time ❤ Peace pipe 🍃🔥💨
I listen to this every now and then when I want to have goosebumps, feel uplifted, and nearly be brought to tears (not sad tears though). I’m not sure how to fully describe what hearing Choctaw singing does to me, but I absolutely love it
Put on the boots of peace, our Father the great sprit, Our king and their army is here. You Carrie the dibble eged sorwd in that you speak the truth mighty, mighty. we put on the full armor of the Great Sprit.
