I partially feel disconnected by them because it isn't Joe Gibbs and the Washington Redskins, but I think it's partially because it's been so long since we've seen a winner, that we haven't had much to talk about since 1991. If we had winners every 5 years, we wouldn't be thinking of The Hogs, Art Monk, Daryl Green, Joe T., Riggins, etc. so much. Because they were the last winners here, they've been the only thing talked about for 40 years, other than Sean Taylor and RG3, making them feel even more legendary than they already are.

Yes the last 20 years or so have been a dark period for the orginization, so it was a hugh releif when the team was sold to new amazing owners who have a passion for the game. As I watched the video I could litterly feel the results of a team with the right ownership and leadership who actually lead and players who are commited to their game working together as a team, a winning team! GO COMMANDERS!

The 2024-2025 Commanders - experts at barely beating mediocre and bad teams. Big improvement over the last few decades, but that is not saying much. Their only real test so far this year was against the Eagles. In their first matchup they lost, and in the second game that they won, the Eagles were fielding their back-up quarterback Kenny Pickett who had an underwhelming day as usual. The Commanders are doing well, but are not the second coming of God like everyone is making them out to be. They had a very easy schedule this year. Let's see how they fare next year with what will necessarily be a tougher schedule given their current record. I am not going out on a limb when I predict that the Commanders are going to get absolutely crushed by the Lions tomorrow.
It’s just a damn game for an otherwise stupid sport. The toll it takes on human bodies is more often than not irreversible. Why. should anyone get emotional while the loser’s financial share of this game is more than some will make in year while struggling to keep roofs over their children’s heads and food on the tables?

UK and rest of the world is a bit meh about NFL, even more about the baseball world series and knows nothing about whatever the US basketbore competition is called.
