The best thing to do would be to search "tim and barreys im tryna tell you". It's a documentary thats professional done about Chicago Footwork. Also check out DJ Rashad's "Double Cup" album. Came out jn 2013 and got best new music by Pitchfork at the time.

that dude at the end of Footloose is still more impressive than any footwork dancer I've seen. ... dancing should be natural .. Double dutch is far more fascinating that footwork if I want to observe skill for thrills sake.

footworking is a style that originated in the south and west sides of the Chicago land area by teenagers dancing to upbeat house music and hip hop mixes soon it spread to Milwaukee and western Indiana ie Gary and Hammond its a speed based dance using fancy “footwork" its deeply rooted in Chicago culture I grew up watching my cousins footwork in bed rooms and basements and at juke jams
