added soapy mud and lost drive (sustain) of guitars, drums are edited too, added there more compression, clipper and cymbal, lol. guitar texture is pickups, hands, distortion type (better use favorite hardware pedal) and specific riff, don't forget to choose a preamp of clean sound, certain tube emulation and set presence. modulation should be side chained, customized separately and be not in heavy loaded place of a song, should use special hand tricks when delay and reverb is supposed to be, to not lose a tone of guitar and give a space for modulation to be heard, you can't add it everywhere like that. eq and compression of course must be always on. and after adding that cloud of soap, kick, toms and snare became too punchy and irrelevant, you lost a style too, remove a clipper and add a reverb to it for stormy rain already :D
@@joeymusic Maybe for high gain but I still think real amps sound quite better clean and crunchy. My older records sound better to my ears and they incorporated a lot of outboard gear and miced cabs.

We are using an effect that allows me to read my scripts anywhere. It removes noise from the recording.

Micing guitar cabs driven by real tube amps is a good place to start.
Plugins are cool but they just aren't the same.
They are almost indiscernible now.
