Haha all doctors are like that lol. I was pit under for my 2nd time -but not my first- having my jaw shoved back into place after it being dislocated. They couldn't get it back in so they sent me home and said that if it was still out the next day to come back. They put me under AGAIN when I went back the next day. After hours of waiting, I got a different doctor who knew what he was doing. Found out that it was subfluxed -looks and feels like it's out but isn't. Happens ALL the time now. And worst of all the only thing you can do is wait it out. ANYWAY dislocated jaws DO NOT require anesthesia. Doctors need to over react though because some patients under react for life threatening stuff.

Hxez Mad the er doc I went to when I rolled my car and broke my arm in 5 places was like oh you’ve only got 1 break then 2 hrs later was like oh you’ve got 3 breaks and when they did surgery on it they found 5 freaking breaks lmao they also were going to send me home and schedule surgery like a week later and finally the next day (cause I hit my head and split it open) they were like surgery is scheduled for tomorrow.
The centimeter described the width of the laceration not the length. Das why.

As an interior decorator it blows my mind that anyone would put a shiny tile surface on a bathroom floor. Slick even when it’s not wet? That’s a big no no. Even if the tiles are small, the grout lines don’t add that much grip. Very dangerous. PLUS in a hotel!?!? Are you kidding me???!!! Clear disregard for their guests’.
Honestly. Shiny tile never EVER goes on a horizontal plane people are actually walking on for safety reasons even in residential settings where it won’t be getting wet.

I once cracked my face open while mopping the floor. I feel your pain, Mykie. Quite literally. Skulls hitting a flat surface really, really hard does in fact split your skin open.

Those floors are the Cosmopolitan. I fell in one of their bathrooms last March and broke my wrist and ribs (hit that lip to the bathroom area). It was whack.

You’d think they would fix the floors or always have a mat in there after atleast 2 ppl were hurt. I’m guessing many more have fallen. I almost fell getting out of a jacuzzi tub at the last hotel I went to after getting a upgrade because there was blood on the sheets in the first room ugh! It was a casino but not Reno or Las Vegas.

Dude noooo.... you aren't overthinking I totally think its entirely possible that they didnt want to get sued and so they cleaned the blood up so it couldnt be proven by the spatter where or which direction you fell from ... then put a bath mat... def seems like they were trying to cover their asses. I cannot BELIEVE they would clean up blood with no questions asked for any other reason.

Mykie could also still sue if she wanted to or claim something from it because she still had evidence of it happening (clearly on her head xD) as well as the Doctors notes etc, and by that point they'd easily be able to tell what angle she fell and where she fell to prove the incident.
I mean it would normally be sketchy, BUT it was Las Vegas, and accidents are very common.
though is the spatter was still there they would be able to see where it was from, it's easy to measure spatter

The effects that you experienced, especially how much the staples hurt, the headaches and the feeling that you’re gonna die makes me think of when I got brain surgery for the first time-I was only 13 and I had constant *headaches* beforehand, when I was told I needed to get the surgery i was also told that I could’ve died if I didn’t get the surgery, and then finally after they did the surgery, I got the catheter taken out of my head and l was stitched up by a student doctor residing on my floor and he did it in the most *painful* way ever-so much so that I couldn’t stay awake for the rest of the day(keep in mind, I got the catheter out of my head at around 2-3 pm).

My takeaway from this video is that blood is a stellar hair dye
I feel this so much more than I did my first viewing. A year ago I got into a car accident. Closed head injury, didn’t even hurt until the adrenaline wore off in the ER. Two months later the headache finally took a break. A year later I’m still having regular headaches with all sorts of fun symptoms.
So for real. Head injuries are no joke.

Yeah, something about knowing your hurt the most important part of your body.. of your personality.. of the thing you use to perceive everything around you... I felt like I had let myself down in a way I don't think I would've had I severely injured another part of my body. I didn't hurt at first but in the cab ride the wound started to sting really bad and it all started to set in that I didn't protect the one thing I should protect at all costs. Very curious about the things you must see on a daily basis. Thanks for doing a very important job.

No it doesn’t. If it was a centimeter deep it would have gone into her skull. Laceration is another name for an irregular cut.

He might've meant a centimeter width wise. The width is more important because it's the difference between a couple staples, a dozen stitches, or surgery.
Laceration means either how deep or how long/wide a cut is. It basically means an irregular cut, and not one that is like a slit that can be glued or left alone
Ashley Watson not any cut. It’s means an irregular or jagged cut. For example, you wouldn’t call an incision for surgery a laceration. I’m not in med school or anything but I’m going next year or whenever the virus won’t kill us

Yeah I felt bad. But he knew I was injured before we got in and said it was okay. If he wasn't willing to do it there were literally probably two dozen other cars waiting in the queue, but he was actually really great. You could tell he was steppin on it for me without being reckless. He was MVP- wish I could've thanked him better after I realized I wasn't dying lol.

My uncle fell on his head at work he is in a coma on life support with a small chance of recovery it's emotionally draining because they said he died 3days ago but then they say he's showing signs of he's improving . Weather he makes it or not he will definitely have a hard time to recover. i hope he does wake up because he was such a good guy.

they bend on paper because of the metal part you put under the paper. i had a stapel in my thumb and it is just straight (like the U-shape and not closed further). unless your foot is metal under the skin, it wouldn't bend :D
i did that once but with my finger. i was stapling paper or something and i literally stapled my finger. not the nail but the nub. it didn't hurt but very surprising :")
@@BLEARMANATEE86 same, it was my stupid fault. It was like a power assisted desk stapler that jammed when I tried to staple. Idiot me uses bare fingers right over the holes to open the lid which releases the spring/staple and it shoots with the extra power all the way in my thumb. All while teaching. Had to pull it out silently and grab some napkins and ice pack without drawing too much attention. Good times

they cleaned up the mess to cover their asses. in the rush of going to the ER it's safe to assume that no pictures were taken. They want to make sure no pictures of the blood are taken, cause.. you know.. lawsuits and stuff. It's super sketchy, but that's business for you. Glad you're okay and glad it wasn't worse.
when i was 5 i was attacked by an australian shepard. it bit the back of my neck / bottom of my head and blood was everywhere (or thats what i heard). i got 8 staples. the dress i wore for that was red already so GOOD JOB ME FOR WEARING THAT. the same year i wore the same dress at thanksgiving. also, the day after the attack i had to sing at a mothers day school concert :)
I think they put the carpet and wiped the blood so you won't sue them...maybe it's a strech but it looks like they are trying to cover their behind
Omg. I am not a queasy person, but watching this was the queasiest I’ve been in years. It wasn’t even the pictures. It was the explanation. The pictures were reassuring. But seriously. I got stitches in my finger two years ago... AND I WATCHED THE STITCHING PROCESS. It was really cool. Anyway. Just wanted to share.
One time when I was 13ish, I was in the shower for way longer than I really needed to be and the water was really hot. I was getting light-headed and was like, "Huh, that's probably not good. I should get out and lay down." So I get out of the shower, I have my towel wrapped around me, and then I wake up on the bathroom floor. I don't remember falling or even hitting my head. Everything was just kind of dazy and I had trouble focusing. Turns out I had passed out and hit the wall as I went down, which kept me from getting a concussion! I made a loud noise as I went down as about 100 pounds of abruptly falling child probably would, and my dad had to pick me up and get me to my room since I couldn't really move or stand on my own for a little while.

Great story Mykie! I fell in a very similar way a few years ago. I cracked the front of my head on the corner of our fireplace so hard,I cracked the bricks! And like you,I laughed until I saw the puddle of blood forming! My injury looked very much like your look in this video,just a bit higher,and a few more staples(16 inside,and 16 outer)! But my fall saved my life...as they were doing scans,they found an aneurysm that I would've never known about! Anyway..I really enjoyed this!!❤❤❤❤❤

So I had a similar experience but when I was a child. I ran into this medal rack at a garden center and split my head open. Basically the doctors wanted to staple it shut- but my dad was like "hell no", so I got it glued (which was horrible to brush out of my hair). The only thing I remeber is picking my colour of glue (I picked purple). I had a pretty descent scar that's my little bald spot!

Having worked in a hotel as a housekeeper, this is definitely something that is either enforced by upper management, or reinforced by the fact that housekeepers see weird stuff all the time. My first week on the job, an elderly woman died in one of the rooms and as soon as the paramedics came to pick her body up, my manager told us to go clean the room so they could put another quest in the room. Less than 8 hours after she had died, we had a new guest sleeping in the room. Granted there's protocol for furniture and stuff, so we brought a new mattress down, BUT STILL!
Don't blame housekeepers! Blame greedy money hungry hotel managers!

I worked as a hotel housekeeper after high school, and one time the maintenance man calls me and is like dude , come to this room, i just want to make sure im not crazy. So i head up there , and hes with 2 other maids just staring into the room. There was so much blood in the room, like someone either came into the world or left it in that bed . The manager sees it , says damn that bed bug cover works really well, theres nothing on that mattress at all. Then tells us clean it up by lunch, and a couple with their baby is checked in before my shift ends. It was weird.

Yes blame the greedy greedy hotel owners who make sure you have a job. You do know if they didn’t keep those rooms full they would close the doors and you’d be out of work right? Maybe you should be a little bit more grateful to your employers.

What were they supposed to do just leave it empty not making any money therefore not being able to pay the original poster? Do you guys not realize how expensive running a hotel is? One room not having someone in it could be the difference between keeping the doors open or not.

This reminded me of my little accident
My friends dad is a photographer and we went to this farm like place and he asked me to grab this pole thing and I slipped on some mud and let me just mention I was leaning over a fence I fell forward and a spike hit my shoulder and the skin on my wrist and on my foot *it was not the same spike*
This hurt like hell and we were like an hour away from the hospital so the car ride was just brutal.
My mom kept the spikes and put them in a memory box so I could remembered the worst day of my life.
Thanks mom.
