This was a great demonstration of the rock crawling ability. I was somewhat surprised at its agility a low speed, especially considering how fast it is on the street! But I would not have exposed my crawler to this salt water location. Thanks for great video. Jim
Thanks again. You are right for salt water, but even with that it has not too much damage, rust of course, but not too much. I won't use it often on this spot.

This car isn't the best crawler. A better crawler is the Feiyue FY03. Feiyue has a better gear ratio for crawling and a slipper. I like the WLtoys because it is faster than feiyue and Wltoys has metal cvd instead plastic on Feiyue but Feiyue has more motor adjustment and provided with 3 differents motor pinions.
Can you tell mi if the servo from 12428 would fit the a959b? I'm asking this because I'm using l202 receiver board on my a959b and everything works except the stock servo has too small servo plug and it doesn't fit the servo slot on the receiver. The servo on 12428 looks like it has a compatible servo plug but I need to know if I can fit it on a959b chassis? I'm assuming I would have to cut the ears of the servo casing to make it fit?
also I just watched another vid and it looks like it has open diffs front and back, lock up those diffs and you would improve the crawling capabilities by 50% probably more.
Yes, with locked diff, it will be a really better crawler. But diff. gear, mainly diff. spur gear and bevel gear still have issue. WLtoys changed these gears but it isn't perfect.

I see that the HBX 12889 is too low for my liking, i really like the style of the 12428 thanks for the suggestions though!
If that had a low gear it would make a very good rock crawler.

Yes, stock transmitter. I push very gently the throttle trigger.
Great video of the vehicle, tho turn the throttle trim down for more real control. Just sayin. I just bought two myself trying to get a handle on them
