Great vid as always, Myke. Looks like I'll have to check out Suspiria and Prince of Darkness. Speaking of Carpenter, what do you think about The Thing? That might be my personal favorite horror.
I never needed a role model and i grew up in one of the most dangerous hoods in Dominican Republic,I believe if people want to do good it doesn't matter where they are even though people tried to fuck around with me i never got in trouble..
As someone else said the sore throat and sickness thing sounds like mold. Similar thing happened to my cousin. Awesome horror movie choices and thought what you said about role models only being human was really cool :)
Awesome vid Myke! I actually had that same sickness a couple of weeks ago (it seems to be going around). My suggestion if you haven't already is (to quote Mick Jenkins) drink more water. Lots of water. That should help clear it up. Hope you get better soon.
senpai is what you call older classmates in japanese. Senpai, notice me is a meme among anime fans because a lot of romance anime features a young girl trying to get the attention of an older guy.
I have been following your commentary for a couple of years, because you love hip-hop and metal. I should have known that you like skating too. It just fits. Ed Templeton not only shredded and had some good teams with Toy Machine, but he is a great person too.
For those of you who think I made up ghost rape, check out this link. It's a real think, guys. And I think it's happening to me! th-cam.com/video/5OSIxx6cgFM/w-d-xo.html
Ian MacKaye is definitely a role model to me as well. Such s smart dude with a great way of looking at things. And Minor Threat and Fugazi are two of my all time favorite bands.
No one is gonna see this given that this video is damn near a decade old, but given how often myke talks about this movie, I'm SUPER suprised that candyman is nowhere to be found here.
@@mykectown also you don't have to if you're not feeling like it, but if you guys don't do another review of the bad batch, do you have any final thoughts???
How do you feel about Dethklok (sorry if I already asked you)? Also, I highly respect how you do your own thing and enjoy the things you enjoy because you like it, despite what other people say. I've made that transition in my life about 3 years ago, and ever since, everything's been Gucci.
doomfan12345 You know what...I've never gotten around to listening to a Dethklok album. It just always seemed like a silly joke to me. Is it actually good?
Yeah, granted the third one feels a like it has one too many songs that "sound the same", it's still a solid album. Dethklok's "Dethmetal" has the voice and the heaviness of a DeathMetal group, but it's also VERY melodic and rhythmic. Some songs to start off would be: "Hatredcopter", "Go To The Water", "Symmetry", "The Gears", "Skyhunter" and one of my personal favorites, "Murder Train a Comin".
Ah! Fair enough Myke! Fair enough. To be honest I'm a bit of a Kubrick fan-boy. I got a Shining poster in my hall way (framed!). Keep up the good work on DEHH!
You are one of my favorite people next to that one lady who farted in the train to work the other day (brightened up my day) and Tony Yayo. Most def Tony Yayo, he is the talk of New York. Love!
WDYWK: Ever looked into video game OSTs to discover new music? Think there's a lot of good stuff you could discover, especially if you like, or want to try and get into, Orchestral music.
Myke C-Town I'm not sure why you think you're such a shitty person, but in my opinion you're a great role model for weird kids, especially kids into music. As a 22 year old Canadian white kid who listened to his dad's music in high school (Beatles, Pink Floyd, U2) and shyed away from the mainstream (Lil Jon and Katy Perry), but was into Eminem & Kanye and Metallica & Foo Fighters, I honestly can't imagine where my head would be at today if I hadn't had you and the rest of DEHH these past 2 years. Your range of musical interest and knowledge is almost inconceivable to me. It's hard to tell but I feel like my musical interests would be much more superficial and mainstream if I hadn't found your videos. (Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of mainstream music, I just have a thing for deep, soulful, intelligent music.) I used to rely on wikipedia and news sites like pitchfork to discover music, and I still do, but watching youtube is way more chill. Plus you put yourself out there and don't give a shit, which obviously could be detrimental advice to some kids, but in terms of helping kids find an identity through music, who could ask for anything more? Rock on bro, and stop bringing yourself down. It's a bit depressing.
Usually if you wake up with a soar throat that means you slept with your mouth try to start breathe your nose making sure its clear before you go to bed bro
inepthabit Yeah. I was big into that stuff for a while. Like Audition, Evil Dead Trap, etc. And there was one I watched a while ago that I enjoyed, although I can't remember the name of it. A boyfriend and girlfriend are kidnapped and tortured. I just remember the dude's intestine being cut out and stretched across the room? Haha...but it was cool. I haven't seen Kairo or Noroi. I'll look them up! Thanks!
Myke C-Town Haha, that sounds pretty twisted dude!! I'm more into the psychological suspense kind of horrors than gore and torture myself, you know. I like it when they're scary, but not too gross. Unless it's gross in a funny way! ( Like Braindead, love that one!) I did watch Audition though. If you're into that torture stuff then I'm sure you've seen Ichi The Killer? Takashi Miike makes some twisted movies. Noroi is more the paranormal documentary type, but it's quite original. If you can't find it it's here on youtube. :)
senpai is not "an older classmate" or "a stupid internet meme" as some people have answered. senpai is a japanese word that doesn't have an exact translation, but the closest english words would be "tutor," or "mentor." it is not hugely dissimilar to the word "sensei." p.s. varg is fucking bonkers. one of the few truly insane metal musicians. p.p.s. good list of horror dream warriors fucking rules
Robert Smith had me more in a suicidal mood, but I may be older so for me The Cure was around Faith and Pornography (period when I was big into them), and it was pretty bleak (those fairies Cocteau Twins saved my life!). I was also looking up to Jello Biafra, but that was way young. Almost stopped listening to DK by the time I was into The Cure and that moodier stuff. As for Hendrix, I'm mad he died so young. It's so frigging unfair.
Prince Of Darkness was great for adding a sci-fi element to the christian narrative of evil. But from Carpenter I still prefer The Thing. Don't forget to watch the end segment of Creepshow to nurture your fear of cockroaches! ;-)
CarlHH777 Yeah, in Canada you can actually call the cops and they fix things. As opposed to them coming over and making things worse by simply telling them "your neighbor would like you to stop disturbing them." Like that works.
nah, Varg is an extremely right wing white nationalist as shown by his TH-cam channel ThuleanPerspective. It’s a shame that Varg is such a dick too because burzum is probably the best 2nd wave black metal bamd
Your entire tangent about getting face fucked by demons and roaches laying eggs in your throat. As soon as you finished, i started laughing but i couldn't help saying 'what the fuck just happened' out loud
National socialists aren't socialists, it was just a naming scheme to win votes because when the movement started, socialism was a pretty popular ideology for workers. Before the nazis rose to power, most socialists thought the revolution would happen in Germany.
I think it's safe to say that you're talking about the original Wicker Man and not the monstrosity that was the Nick Cage remake. That shit was terrible.
Taimir Gore OMG! Abso-fucking-lutely. That remake wasn't even really worthy of calling a remake. It was a pile of shit. I was almost furious at what they did.
Morning sickness, bro. You're gonna be a mom.
bravetherainbow Fucking ghost baby.
Did you guys get round to doing that NSBM video?
Michael Jackson joke has aged well and all
Can I get the link to the video about burzum and nsbm?
Myke you're an inspiration, would love to hear your POV on mainstream topics
I'm so jealous of you, I love that Robert Smith poster. And excellent list of horror movies !
Wow, the entire rastafari movement looks up to you, Myke. That's serious.
LOL !!! That box cutter !! I remember you tweeting something about kids beating on your door, but I don't remember the box cutter lmao.
Dude. We said "Rodney Mullen" at the exact same time haha. LOVE that you're into skating like that man.
Mike C Town is funny as hell!!!
Is that a Full of Hell shirt? If it is right on dude, saw them live and they were amazing.
Any idea when that collab is gonna be out? Kinda curious to hear your thoughts on NSBM
ThePuppyPrince Nah. I keep dropping the ball on recording it. Hopefully we can do it either this weekend or next. So soon!
Great vid as always, Myke. Looks like I'll have to check out Suspiria and Prince of Darkness. Speaking of Carpenter, what do you think about The Thing? That might be my personal favorite horror.

Was The Cure your favourite band before you heard Current 93?
Awesome vid Myke! I actually had that same sickness a couple of weeks ago (it seems to be going around). My suggestion if you haven't already is (to quote Mick Jenkins) drink more water. Lots of water. That should help clear it up. Hope you get better soon.
senpai is what you call older classmates in japanese. Senpai, notice me is a meme among anime fans because a lot of romance anime features a young girl trying to get the attention of an older guy.
loved the video as usual, but gotta say, those first four minutes were a rollercoaster from start to finish man, fuck
I have been following your commentary for a couple of years, because you love hip-hop and metal. I should have known that you like skating too. It just fits. Ed Templeton not only shredded and had some good teams with Toy Machine, but he is a great person too.

This video was too funny! LMAO. "Gaw damn, that nigga crazy..." Lol
Ian MacKaye is definitely a role model to me as well. Such s smart dude with a great way of looking at things. And Minor Threat and Fugazi are two of my all time favorite bands.
Rodney Mullen is my favorite skater as well. I'm not that into skating but every one of his videos blew my mind.
Are you going to review "Iller than most" by Del
zac zwaschka I might. I forgot all about it!
No one is gonna see this given that this video is damn near a decade old, but given how often myke talks about this movie, I'm SUPER suprised that candyman is nowhere to be found here.
Yeah I think I simply forgot about it. Which is embarrassing.
@@mykectown ehh nothing to be embarrassed about. We forget how we rank things all the time. Lol
@@mykectown also you don't have to if you're not feeling like it, but if you guys don't do another review of the bad batch, do you have any final thoughts???

Thats weird. I actually was about to record a video about NSBM and my thoughts on it. Now I feel like I'm ripping you off haha goddamn it!
Nice shirt, brah! I saw them in Providence with Column of Heaven. They were way younger than I thought they'd be
untydled I just saw them a few weeks ago and they were killer! That Merzbow collab should be sick.
Myke C-Town fucking right!!!! one of the better frontmen in modern hardcore! and that collab is gonna be the ballz!!!
I'm a little surprised The Shining didn't make an appearance.
seanuio It's only a top 10! Haha! Top 20, definitely! I also couldn't include Bram Stoker's Dracula or any Friday the 13th movies.
Ah! Fair enough Myke! Fair enough. To be honest I'm a bit of a Kubrick fan-boy. I got a Shining poster in my hall way (framed!).
Keep up the good work on DEHH!
Gad dam da niugga crazy
Mike V's style of skating is TOO fuckin' sweet.
Myke had Covid back in 2014
You are one of my favorite people next to that one lady who farted in the train to work the other day (brightened up my day) and Tony Yayo. Most def Tony Yayo, he is the talk of New York. Love!

JunkyardGod89 Who is over there censoring you, Rich?!?! Tell em to fuck off!
Hahahahaha!
I've discovered Christian metal, sorry Myke, I'm not down with satan and cursing anymore.
Always good to see a new WDYWK from you Myke. It's turned this crappy, cold Tuesday morning into something good :) #ProHomo
Myke, do you also like Asian horror movies? Movies like A Tale of Two Sisters, Kairo, and Noroi are among my favourite horror movies.
inepthabit Yeah. I was big into that stuff for a while. Like Audition, Evil Dead Trap, etc. And there was one I watched a while ago that I enjoyed, although I can't remember the name of it. FULL OF HELL. FUCK YEAH
i think american werewolf in london or return of the living dead was the 1st horror comedy
Fuck Yeah, Wicker Man haha. Mike, you should check out the movie Bad Boy Bubby, Australian cult classic, you will enjoy it.
Riley Sayle Never heard of it. Thanks! I'll look it up!
Damn.... Myke is pretty messed up and violent. He hides that dark side of himself in the DEHH videos.
Robert Smith had me more in a suicidal mood, but I may be older so for me The Cure was around Faith and Pornography (period when I was big into them), and it was pretty bleak (those fairies Cocteau Twins saved my life!). You should have checked for carbon monoxide poisoning; a lot of haunted houses have been actually just reduced to that delirium.
Prince Of Darkness was great for adding a sci-fi element to the christian narrative of evil. But from Carpenter I still prefer The Thing. Don't forget to watch the end segment of Creepshow to nurture your fear of cockroaches! ;-)
At least you didn't sign to Rawkus...
Is it that crazy where you live? Buying a gun would never cross my mind. Then again, I live in Canada.

Myke your fucking hilarious.
Ey suspiria that movies a trip
No The Shining?
snoth cambin Yeah, that one got bumped out. If it were a top 20 list, it would definitely make the cut!
The Blair Witch Project
The Ring
28 Days Later
Rosemary's Baby
Event Horizon
Pandorum
Aliens
Alien
The Thing
House of 1,000 Corpses
baka gaijin
The first guy is basically a meme
Wow, what a video, wise words, really funny, I actually lol.....really good.
Should have included rosemary's baby
James Jeudy I like that movie, but it's definitely not one of my favorites.
Nise shirt playa

SuperSaiyan ChestHair Haha! Whatever, dude! It could happen! It's totally logical!
Jeremy Klein!!!
Full Of Hell
The Wicker Man remake was fucking awful.
Mambo2able1 To me, that movie doesn't exist.
Burzum comment: 11:53
LMAO...
