It was a warm, dark night in Buenos Aires, cooled slightly by intermittent sheets of spring rain. I waited on the sidewalk and sheltered under a bakery shop canopy for a moment, looking out across the Avenue de Flores. Suddenly there she was, a beautiful, mysterious woman in a raincoat, umbrella in one hand, cello case in the other. Just below the hem of her raincoat, a small band of her distinctive red dress lit up the night. She walked with purpose, but not too hurried, as if to enjoy the solitude of the evening, the rain drops delicately dancing off the brim of her Panama hat. Where was she going? Where had she come from? All of her secrets were sealed in the Milonga. The rain started up again and just like that she evaporated into the mist.
Brava! I have listened to Sara's performance of "Oblivion" at least a dozen times and will again many dozens more. Even had I been deaf her powerfully expressive body movement and facial expression would have still conveyed to me the same yearning, tenderness, compassion and depth of emotion she brings to this wonderful piece. Thank you, Sara.

Played with so much emotion and passion. This is one of my favorites, (along with Libertango,) and Sara does such a wonderful job, commanding her cello to tug at our heartstrings... If, at one point, you do not have tears in your eyes while listening to this wonderful interpretation, then you are not really listening. Thank you, Sara for sharing this with us. :)
I admire the tonal control and the phrasing . The cello playing is so deep, it takes you through all sorts of emotions with tender up and down slides and a beautiful contrast between powerful and hushed, reduced passages. I apologize for not having paid much attention to the piano accompaniment yet. Thank you.

I’m wondering if Mr. Koenig knows if Mr. Li is recovering, if he will perform again.....ever? Ps I dated a cellist for 10 years, not soloist caliber but she played wonderfully. After the love faded, I’m still in love with the sound of the instrument. It’ll be my pleasure to explore your recordings.
