Bet it all on Apple 🍏 any time now. Or do you really believe Apple has been sleeping? Siri may be a simple minded farmer 👩🌾 now but she’s getting a brain transplant.
Everything is built into Capcut, so you don't have to rely on third-party software for plugins. From music, sound effects, transitions, effects, animations, auto-captioning, AI-generated voice, to the magic mask- it's all there! And the magnetic timeline? Crazy! You can even toggle it on and off, which isn't something you can't do in FCP. You can also customize your workspace in Capcut; you can split everything by simply holding the tab bar and dragging it anywhere.
@@jakefelzien It's crazy how Capcut works smoothly on various platforms, from mobile app to desktop app and even web browsers. It's so disappointing that Capcut has a better keyframe editor and color tools than FCP. Like why Apple? It's 2024 and FCP is still outdated to this day with those things?
I have actually felt guilty for using Capcut over Premier Pro for most of my fast edits. For what most people want these days, CC is a good fit. For more advanced edits and tying in with AE, Premier Pro is better.
Why was the export so poor? Was it the original quality or the NLE's fault? Never used Capcut, but saw someone else use it. It reminds me of Windows Movie Maker. Pretty cheesy effects. MM also had the issue, tgat if you added an effect or transition, the quality of the clip would be reduced drastically.

Hi, I tried to convert a file saved to 4k with GoPro via cupcut. I don't know why although on Cupcut I save the file with a higher resolution, I mean 2k/4k, the file is saved with a resolution of 2560x1440 which would be QHD instead of 4k 3840x2160.. why did this happen? Am I doing something wrong?
Very interesting - everyone is looking for the WOW effect - sometimes it is all about the #1 pucture - in 30 seconds - I really think that is the goal - instead of all the crazy special effects -
Goddamn CapCut sucks is it really doesn’t have a normal trim tool? Something like the trim tool (T) shortcut in FCPX. It’s like when I already have a few clips on the timeline and I want to move one video forward or backward within the clip without touching the left or right corner of the clip. I don’t want to change the length of the clip and position; I just want the video inside the clip to start a second earlier or later. For this simple, basic tool, I need to use replacement, then choose that video and find the right spot, or start moving the left or right corner to find that good start and finish.
They say it's a second program from the same company, so when Tiktok is banned in the US, they will have it installed capcut on all the desktop computers, sucking your information.. 🤔
I am using CapCut as my primary editing tool while learning to use Resolve at a slower pace. For someone who has never edited digitally (the last time I edited was during A-Levels during the 1990s where we had to learn to splice tape!), CapCut is startlingly easy to get started with and come out with some good results. One thing I did realise was I really did not miss how long it takes to edit just a few minutes of footage 😱
Really great seeing you Jakes Jake it up with Capcut. You've piqued my curiosity about it and it seems like another tool to put in the toolbox. The big question is, did you edit this video in Capcut? 😂
No I did not 😅😅😅 just the edit in the video. This particular one was done with Resolve. Reason being I love the transcript feature to break down long talking recorded sections. Otherwise would have likely used FCP
@@jakefelzien Thanks, I kind of figured that was the case. The transcription feature in Resolve Studio is so good. I use it for presentation/demo videos at work all the time. It's really impressive how it gets the spellings and names right that people say. I think I've had to correct maybe one or two times it didn't put the right thing and honestly if I was manually transcribing it without knowing what was being talked about I would have put that too. Such great stuff.
@@jakefelzien thanks, really great video! Us old timers still use the fades. Lol, but I can edit effects. I have also been editing 10 years now, almost 11. Then I went to power director on mobile then lumafusion. I like capcutt but I love my lumafusion because it's more like vegas movie studio was. But that's just me because I started editing the hard way and put in a lot of work to learn how to do effects by hand, and you do a lot of stuff by hand in lumafusion like you have to use the right effect settings to get a desired effect, but we can save our effects presets which is bessically all cap cut does is give you pre done effects and transitions.
