Do you make VW compatible heads? Maybe something like the Scatt individual heads but water cooled? Seems like it would be a great product both for aviation and the much larger VW Bugs market.

Amazing to think that for an engine with a Billet crank case it has basic, BASIC flaws espesially for an aero engine, what are your thoughts on the 3L oil sump? that alone was in instant turn off for me, and the first thing I would do Is either extend the sump or dry sump the motor, but seeing how much those factory heads move is even more of a concern

Could you do something similar for VW engines?

Could the detonation be caused by an overly hot spark plug range ???...........what about machining a thin flat ring to put between the cylinder wall edge and the cylinder head wher the cylinder is clamped down on ?????...........this would distribute the load and keep from burying the cylinder barrel in an overly hot plastic state , into the head and distorting the clamping area of contact. ???????......

That is what is done with many vw conversions, they use a copper compression ring of varying thicknesses, depending on the compression desired. I think it would be great if this was done for the vw engines as well. I know porche had watercooled heads awhile back, but Im not sure what happened with them, if if they were even successful.

Can this be done on a used engine ? or does it need to be a fresh engine ?

Most LCH conversations are done on used engines. But the engines bottom end should be in decent condition to take full advantage of the now perfect LCH top end.
