The definitive remix for Marble Zone, while also being one of the greatest remixes of all time. I've been listening to this for years and it always takes me to a wonderful place.
Everything DistantJ does is fire. Search for "XTC Hill Zone" and "NiGHTS into Euphoria" for some more of his Sega remixes. He also did the soundtrack for the AVGN games under the name Sam Beddoes!
Possibly my favorite version of Marble Zone. Still a favorite after all the years.
This is one of the remixes that will always hold a special place in my heart. Hearing it for the first time in something like 8+ years triggered instant nostalgia for me. Lost in the memories of a simpler time in my life.
Still listening to this in 2023. It's been in my mind for 10+ years now.
Still here and 2024 is almost over.
I've had this on my phone for years as part of my music collection. People always ask what I'm listening to and I'm always hesitant 'cause it's like, "umm... video game music" haha
I have so much respect for artistic talent such as this piece. It's really amazing and fun to enjoy.

Not sure if this is the best ever OC remix but iut is VERY impressive. The mixing in particular is sublime with a well balanced mix and superb mastering. Absolutely top drawer execution.
So I just found out that this guy also made the music to AVGN Adventures... Wow he's really good at making music! :D

it has an arabic,asian, mystic feel to it...soothing, yet mysterious, just like how the stage had lava waiting for sonic in act 2. awesome

@isamuokashii funny, i was always thinking about roman ruins in this stage, and this remix, with its instrument, remind me more some musics from Era (medieval) or Ushuaïa (nature/latin america feeling) than arabic or asian music oO.
Search "Musique du générique Ushuaïa nature" on youtube you will understand IMMEDIATLY why.
