Tiki torches. Absolutely no bueno in Colorado. Forest fire danger if there is any wind at all. And there is always a breeze at sunup and sundown. Some mountain towns prohibit the sale of any open flame torch or lantern.
Bell tents are amazing! Your doggo is adorable. I'm not sure if you have realized this, but air mattresses tend to get chilly to sleep on, even in the summer. To prevent this, put a mat or wool blanket under the air mattress to put a barrier between the ground and mattress. Also, love the tiki torches! Happy camping!!

It was very dry here this summer too, we hardly got to use them. I only use them when I feel it's safe. The last thing I want is to burn down my getaway place!
Did you get to do anymore to it? I'm thinking about glamping out the back one night. Hire a sitter and stay out the back to avoid the kids. Love them to bits, but a night off In a new environment that won't break the bank. We have a 2 room rent that does 10 people now (5kids kind of need a bigger tent truthfully). One room bedroom the other room lounge room. I'm noticing fairy lights, rugs and covered small wooden tables or stands seem to be the go.
I've added a few more things here and there but nothing big. You should totally go for it. It's super fun. To me the lighting really makes the biggest impact at night. And a nice rug really breaks up the floor and makes it seem not so tent like.
I'm not understanding. Are you seriously camping with fairy lights? Or am I missing something? Homeless? Are you allowed to cut live branches at your campsite? Shouldn't nature trump tiki light placement?

Well this is actually on my property. It's just a year round retreat. When we go camping for real we just enjoy the natural environment.
