But here's the reality check - street racing is a big no-no in most places around the world. But hold on; there's a silver lining. Enter Sean Whitley, the legend better known as Farmtruck! This dude gets to live out his racing fantasies on the famous 405, thanks to a reality TV series called Street Outlaws.
Produced by Pilgrim Media Group, Street Outlaws has blown up, becoming one of the most popular car shows out there. The show gives viewers a behind-the-scenes perspective on the thrilling street racing scene in Oklahoma City. Farmtruck and the badass 405 crew, racing for a spot on the famous 'The List' and the opportunity to score up to a jaw-dropping $50,000 in prizes. Farmtruck has been a key player since the show's inception. But he faced serious health issues that almost made him hit the brakes and step away from racing. I've lived in Okla most of my life. Farmtruck was prob the closest thing to a real street race truck. The rest of them were full out pro race cars not driven on the street at all. I use to street race every weekend and never seen a single one of outlaw guys on the street.
For about 6 yrs, I had a race shop and raced in the NOPI series with me based from Okla. Everything kinda fell apart right around 2005 and racing just seemed to stop. All the sudden, yrs later Street Outlaws became a thing. Not real street racing. Basically test and tuning. Nothing like real street racing. Usually somewhere they had permission to shut down.
I've met Sean and Azn at local shows and they seem to be real nice guys. I've also been by and talked to Dave up in Edmond several times before he shut down the shop behind Whataburger. He was a pretty nice guy also.
I used to go out to thunder valley every weekend. The whole sport kinda got ruined. People can't afford to race, win or compete with full out race cars.

And you are correct, street racing is a couple of kids racing on the back streets,
Not $300,000 unstreetable race cars on purpose built concrete tracks with 2 miles of lighting rigs.
The cost of racing and the economy being horrible right now is probably helping to kill street racing. People are lucky to have grocery money in this economy.

I never got interested in Street Outlaws because none of the cars are actual street cars and street racers don't usually drive $300,000 Pro mods pretending to be street cars. I never saw a street racer show up to run in a half million dollar car hauler either. Back in the day when I street raced, we ran actual street driven cars and drove them to and from the race. And yes, we risked getting busted by the cops for real, not this fake crap where they block off a road and pretend they're doing something illegal. The show is too fake and the stupid arguing and drama ruin it for me.
I loved the show watching from the Netherlands. Farmtruck and AZN made that whole show! I still watch them on youtube! There are people who want to win, .... and people who like to have fun! I love their builds! They make sleepers! Crazy build nobody else have done! From the Netherlands even when they where not on the list. They where always there! I haven't seen the series they made on discovery! It was just not broadcasted in my country! These two guys are gold! I love their passion for speed, while making fun! They are actually not racers, ... but creative spirits that like to go fast in the most underrated cars! And I think they have more fans all around the world than any other racer from the series nowadays!
I remember seeing videos of that truck on the track some years back and being amazed as to the way it takes off. Being a fan-favouite means it doesn't have to be the quickest or fastest. As a sidenote both AZN and Farmtruck look to be good men and straight with it. I hope Farmtrucks health improves or at least gets no worse. Love from the UK dudes.
I absolutely LOVE Farmtruck and AZN..I live so close to GALOT Motorsport Park that we can hear the loudspeaker and the cars perfectly every time there is an event..I would just die if they ever showed up!
My wife had Bells Palsy back in 2003, her face came back to about 70% as of today (November 2003), some people do recover fully, some don't....

U right. It's a expensive hobby. Even I'm ters of building it yourself and getting the parts it's very expensive and time consuming. The people that I knew growing up that were into it it was like a family business. Like the dad was big on racing and he had a pretty good job. So he would go to a junkyard grab a old engine and then spin like three or four years customizing it. It's an expensive hobby all the way around. But the people that do race tend to hide how they get money. Sometimes it's illegal money or check this out sometimes the materials are stolen. The engine stolen. What do you think happens to those hellcats that get stolen?
@@jpowe2822 late 80's early 90's long island NY street raced a 70' Roadrunner spent more time under it than in it. Every day a new problem. Under hood 4spd 391,1 gears 8.75 rear ring I built that car from nothing n it handled bc I put a modern for that time upgraded front end in it with disc brake set up no drums. When I got the car it has 4 wheel drum brakes with left hand thread lug nuts on the left side I'm not kidding it came that way. By 95 I sold it (stupid me) last I heard it was taken apart for a restoration by a guy who has no idea what he's doing sad ending I wish I still had it today. Was a 383 car I put in a 30 over 440 parts then were a fortune I bet it's 3x that now n no I never stole anything n there were a lot more junkyards to get parts at that time too bc now I hear you either buy new or you fabricate what you want anyway great memories of long ago.
Once the news of show becoming a for sure thing the big money sponsors came running to get their business slammed on cars daddy dave / pro tech dominator and doc chuck all of them.. I heard of this list back in mid 90's when they all struggled daddy dave drove mustang big chief made hashed out race on the show pinks & Asian owned the mustang I tried to get information on the list back then but it was ancient Chinese secret... LOL I WASN'T FROM 405 OR ANY WERE CLOSE TO OKC SEI TOMMY JOHNSON JR AREA ....

Bell's palsy was a direct effect of a recent and popular jibby-jabby in a family member of mine. Look it up folks...
The real reason they are not on the show any more is because they are not insecure sooky loud mouth drama queens like JJ Da Sook.

Strongman World Champion and Actor, Halford Björnsson also has Bell's Palsy. Excitement and stress causes the side of his face and mouth to droop. It doesn't affect him other than the droop. .Aside from him being unphotogenic, it does return to normal. What is normal? Standing 6'9 and weighing more than 300lbs,...it is whatever he says is.

Farm Truck HAS proven Hot Rod Magazine's saying "You can make a brick go 200 MPH if you put a big enough engine in it!! i became a fan because of the "sleeper" clapped out truck that gets it done. the fat tires and engine lope are the only clues!
I had bell's palsy years ago i got a common cold and right after that got it. Its an inflammation around a nerve through the temple that spreads throughout your face witch causes all the problems mine lasted a month with no after side effects some cases can be way different.
Had a friend/co-worker who had Bell's Palsy and DAMN it looked EXACTLY like the dude had a stroke. Couple months later, he was fine. Freaky shit. I don't fault the guy for hiding himself away while he was recovering. Nobody wants their friends to see them like that and think they've had a debilitating stroke.
These guys were the only reason I watched Street Outlaws. I quit watching Street outlaws now.

A stroke actually is a cause of it. My wife had bellspallsy after a stroke. A small stroke can cause it and you wouldn't know unless you went a neurologist. See people need to do there homework a little better then just what some famous persons website has written
It looks like it can be caused by more than one thing. My mother , who has since long past got it at a very young age before I was born. After that she always had a slight droop on one side of her face.

Farm truck got a case of bells palsy, and know one knows what caused it.. I can tell you what caused it, the clot shot is the culprit.
I had Bells palsey on my early 20s, freaked me out but got over it. I still have some side effects but nothing major, but some people never recover from it completely.
He shook my hand with his left hand this past weekend. I owe him an order of Fries. :)

I have had Bell's Palsy twice on both sides, though BP usually strikes the left. Generally, it is thought to result from a virus that affects the facial nerves. Those of us who have had it can generally spot others who have had it. I was fortunate the second time to encounter a brilliant speech therapist who gave me specific exercises that gave me back nearly all the muscle tone.
Im a Big Fan of Farmtruck and Azn as well as JJ Da Boss and his folks. I much prefer their shows to any of the 405 crew.

Bells Palsy sucks. Buddy of mine had it for almost a year. Then suddenly it just clears up and goes away, for him anyway.
Bell's Palsy has had an uptick, along with other syndromes like Guillain-Barré, since early 2021. What may have been a factor?

FT was a beta who got uptight about $600 from 7 years ago. Proceeded to give the guy hell for losing by 2 and 1/2 cars and then minutes later loses himself by 2 and 1/2 cars.

I like the show but imo street race cars are ones you can drive to the race and drive home from the race. These guys have 100,000 race cars that they race on a street rather than the track. They even haul them in trailors to and from the race. Thats not real street racing

I've bin a racer all my life.i had a stroke in July 22.1st thing I did when I got out of the hospital was put the roof on my shop. I didn't race till 23 when my Son and I raced our Mudbogger and I plan on racing our 71 Cuda next summer currently rebuilding the Cudas motor.
