Thank you for this interview. Not knowing much about the story beyond what most TH-camrs say, which in the beginning tended to slam him as being guilty, I was more irritated than anything that he caused trouble to Stray Kidz. But you being frank and asking him questions, enlightened me more on the situation. Just from his answers he seems genuine and you can tell he is still a bit emotional over everything that happened. A similar case happened to Wonho, as far as slander and someone being painted guilty immediately in the media. He was also vindicated later on. But not before damage was done to his reputation and career goals taken away from him. I would be very interested if you were able to get an interview with him. Both Wonho and Wonbin are good examples of being a survivor and not giving up when the world kicks you down.
Nah, the annoying thing is that they keep being loud. I wish those haters would stay quiet. He's proven innocent, yet the haters choose to ignore everything and keep on hating.
@@anja979 Yeah those are the ones who refuse to apologize. They try to find any excuse to justify the horrible thing they did because they don't want to accept that they committed online harassment.
yeah.. videos hating on him got 1M+ views when this all broke out, but now that he’s innocent, videos proving his innocent don’t get anywhere near as many views. it just goes to show they were in it for the drama.
they really are trash. they must have so much time in the world to come to these videos or his own videos just to write immature things like "where's the TW? its a flop, blah blah woojail" like GO HOME
Something I really like about 4th gen kpop idols is that they're starting to break that barrier between them and fans. Its so much better that we're getting the information straight from the person involved
Yea I feel that companies are getting better, since woojin is from a smaller company, ig they let him speak up. Normally they wouldn’t allow idols to apologize or have a say in it at all.
"You have the right to not like someone, you can dislike someone for sure. But even so, making false rumours just for the sake of hating that person, actively trying to bring that person down is a crime" - Kim Woojin. Woojin has gone through so much, I just feel bad that his own fans became his worst nightmares. May God give him the strength to deal with everything and keep him healthy both mentally and physically. I wish him with all the happiness and success. And people, do remember that IDOLS ARE HUMAN BEINGS TOO.
He’s laughing about it and pretending as if nothing bad happened to him, but we all know how much pain he has to go through, please leave him alone, please. 💕
He left the group. Stray Kids have said ot8. He isnt part of stray kids but that doesnt mean he cant have a solo career. Stray kids and woojin are two different artists now and we need to respect that.
Maybe he's laughing, smiling and telling us that he's okay now, but his eyes... I can see the huge pain in them. I hope, one day he will overcome this situation and move on, into his dreams. Just let this man live peacefully
Of course..for sure…he lived that experience…it was painful and the feeling will be there till his heart gets healed…..I am just so so thankful to him that he didn’t give up and in whatever way he is doing his best for the life….as for myself someone who is struggling with depression for years I get it …it’s really takes some courage and blessings to be able to climb out of deep dark well……Sending lots of wishes and happiness and love to you woojinaaaa 💕💕💕
i feel so bad for him i understand if he doesnt want to talk about it (or in skz’s case, they literally cant). im especially curious about what happened since i only followed skz since christmas evel and thunderous era.
This dude is so strong mentally, he’s still going forward despite of his career being ruined by baseless fake rumors. Woojin has all my respect and support. And to his haters: if you can’t accept the fact that he is proven innocent, you are disgusting. Bye.
This is just my opinion, but trashing someone isn’t nice regardless of what they’ve done. If he was guilty, I couldn’t hold it against people to be upset but even when I thought the rumours were true, it made me very uncomfortable seeing jokes about him and the hate campaign that was being spread by people who were Stays like me. I won’t say about the rest of it, but the fact that our whole fandom is influenced so much by Chan who constantly tells us not to stoop to the level of lashing out and smearing people, I was surprised to see people doing just that when the rumours came out, even though they were very malicious ones.
@@marvellousmocha1386 same I am also a stay but tbh the rumors I believe was the bullying rumors and not really that tbh but it was still uncomfortable see people tell him to kill himself etc etc.
@@marvellousmocha1386 I don't Stan him but I'm accepting of him and proud of him tbh I lowkey feel like one day he could be really good cus even I, as a stay, really liked his Still Dream song
So true, i saw a post or comment once that said international fans like myself shield our idols too much. Bcuz someone was saying idols can finally be open about who they are dating without being canceled and such, and im like these so called fans need to stop thou are they forgetting they are human beings as well. They want to control their idols which i hate so much. One wrong move and they start a trend on twitter to cancel somebody, i hate it so much
@@kaydian7124 yeaahh i think their mindset is that idpsl are nothing without the fandom which is i somewhat agree but we don't own idols like objects so we don't have the right to control them. It's sad to know that idols are treated like robots its not like they don't have emotions. They are human and they are free to date as long as they take responsibility. Anyway let's just hope for better days.
I became a stay after he left so I didn’t really understand what happened but I’m so glad he was able to share his story and that he didn’t let that get in the way of his dream :) I don’t know a lot about him but he’s a really strong person
@@ItsBiny If JYP had any integrity, they would apologize to him publicly, invite him back and compensate him for pain and suffering. He should be suing otherwise.
He legally can't talk about why he left the group but the hate that still follows him over baseless rumours is disgusting. People really become bullies online to people they've never met I don't understand it
Plus ! He left due to personal reasons, that can be anything form family, mental health, or really anything. He has a personal life, and people need to respect that ! We don’t need to know everything !!
Lmao 🤣 Why not? He has all the freedom to. Don’t you see how the Got7 members keep dissing and throwing shade at JYP after they left? They even explained their situation. So I don’t see why Woojin can’t explain his. 🤷🏻♂️(I mean unless he was kicked out of the group and JYP has something on him)
@@kelvinzhang36 it's called an NDA, non-disclosure act. Since he left the group in the middle of the contract, he and the company need to uphold that contract still. Got7 was able to throw shade and make those comments AFTER they fulfilled their contracts and cut ties with the company. It's a completely different situation. Got7's experience is comparable with Jamie's because she also left the company on good terms, but once her contract officially ended, she made her Numbers, which was a diss to JYP's managers.
@@Castle_Tak0831 What I meant to say is that Woojin needs to be frank about it and explain his situation in a non-contractial-disclosure manner to come out clean. Otherwise, he will continuously be misunderstood and the issue will drag on forever with no evident reasons
As a fan of Strykids after Woojins departure, I’ve noticed how other fans have painted him as a “bad guy” up to this day. I’m so happy I found this video because I’m now able to get an idea of who he is. He seems actually amazing and I feel legit robbed of experiencing him in Straykids. I feel like they would be an even better group with Woojin in it. Im really bothered and disappointed that people did this to him. Your Still Dream video looks amazing and your talent shines bright Woojin. Edit: I’m writing this about 6 month later. I have become a HUGE Woojin fan. I actually went to his concert in SF in November and was literally about 6 feet from him the whole concert. He is simply amazing in every way. One of the best voices I’ve ever heard 😍. He blew me away. I wish I could post pictures for you all to see how amazing he was and still is 🙏🏽 Edit #2 6/21 Watching the new Woojin video I Like The Way. Amazing 🙌🏽🙌🏽. Still love him 🥰
@@gee9883 I honestly stumbled across this video by complete accident and decided to watch. I was going off of the small clips in this video. His visual, dance, and stage performance really shocked and were and are so good. Woojin would have made Straykids that much better ( they are already amazing). Woojin can dance so well, his visuals are so striking, and is voice is strong and gorgeous, he would have been an asset. I just started streaming Woojins songs after I watch this video, so a whole 2 days but I love his music so far. Definitely different than SKZ but his music is amazing so far.
@@nathatleue his whole album is amazing. He has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard ( dramatic for me to say but true). He’s pretty amazing. I was hoping he would come to California for his tour and meet and greet but unfortunately no 😞
I'm just so grateful to dkdktv for giving him the platform to address (once again) the "pressing" issues. The pain and stress behind those kind words and warm smiles are not something you can easily fake so again, if you still don't believe him, go your own way and stop throwing hate at this person. This is not me trying to victimize Woojin but after almost two years of constant hate, I don't think recovery is that immediate and easy to achieve. From now on, let's all create beautiful memories together :) A sincere message from a CUB
Thank you David for giving artist like Woojin a platform. Even though Woojin was so badly wronged and his name has now been cleared you can still hear the hurt in his voice when he speaks about it.
People on Twitter are really toxic and do not care even if he’s innocent. It’s so disappointing. They showed their true colors. 😐 I’m so glad that he’s speaking up about it and I hope he succeeds as a solo artist!
Stan twt is TOXIC af, I only use it for updates about my faves but there are a lot of times where I see just people bullying or being mean/rude (wether it be idols or other people on twt) like it's the most normal thing ever... They be like "its my opinion I can do whatever I want" Like holy shit, I didnt know that having basic manners/human decency and keeping hurtful comments to yourself is that hard for people...
@@Sakinocchi yeah and I’ve also seen how tiktok is starting to become toxic too. After seeing all the shit on social media I decided to delete everything but Twitter for the same reason as you. Everyone just hates each other for no reason and once someone has a different opinion, they attack that person. You get cancelled for anything now. So I’m just staying away from all social media’s. It’s made me feel so much better too tbh
I’m on twt and yes you have totally get the point... I can’t even tell that i support woojin .... they will set me on fire laterally Not EVERYONE... but some of them ( that I highly ignore ) Sometimes it’s really boring, tiring and sad
We can see that Woojin is restless throughout this interview. Woojin's hand gestures and teary eyes couldn't lie to us and it showed how much pain he was in. I really appreciate and am proud of Woojin's courage to talk about the rumors that hit him. We should be grateful because he is mentally strong. CUBS we must keep guarding and supporting this sweet guy :)
I don't want to hurt you but you see how he's grabbing his knees, He used to rub his knees to comfort himself but since they sexualized it and said that was him jerking off, he can't do it anymore.
@@jadesweetbutton Back then he always rubbed his thighs, not so much his knees I would say from videos I had seen. But yes, you're right. I noticed that as well.
I remember writing "y'all going to regret this the accusations are proven false" on a video mocking him and here we are. I honestly stayed neutral throughout the whole thing. I can't believe people burnt merch and made mocking videos/bullying videos before anything was investigated. Twitter believed a noname account and ran with it and dragged this man's mental health in the mud. Y'all called him names before even veryfying the accusations. Stays were saying shit like "oh I never liked him, oh I got bad vibes from him, oh he wasn't handsome to me, I just stanned him because he was in the group etc" Now those clowns are silent or pretending to have believed in him all along. This man is talented and y'all almost ruined his life.
@@shoyoverse true. I can't imagine he'll ever be truly ok after that. I honestly wouldn't be. I feel sorry for him. He has the prettiest smile and I doubt he smiled until recently
The thing is, the haters still believe that he is wrong and say that he ride on this issue to gain popularity. And they are still loud about this everytime new stay ask about it.
@@hazizaaj9435 I have never felt more angry in my life. Why can't they leave my baby alone?? Who the fuck would use a horrific incident such as that to gain popularity? At the expense of his mental health? They are as dumb as a bag of rocks honestly.
Funny how with hyunjin and the rumors, basically everyone knew it was false but for woojin, people have this thought etched into their brain that no matter how much it was proven false, they still hate him Now why is that
I never followed Straykids or Woojin. But I really appreciate the way he handled the controversy. It seems he is mentally very strong and capable; when many couldn’t have handled such pressure in an industry that is so not forgiving. Not liking someone is fine but ruining someone is not. People need to have some conscience. He sings well. I would now want to check his music. Best of luck to Woojin!
his solo debut is happening soon and has 3 teasers from his album. you should give it a listen!! he has a shawn mendes vibe coming from some of his songs.
It still baffles my mind how those girls who lied about such a sensitive topic to ruin this innocent man's life and made mockery out of actual sa victims are not being held accountable yet he's still being bashed after everything was debunked and he was found innocent. It's clear that he's the only victim in this case, a victim of cyberbullying, false allegations, defamation, death threats and more yet people still bash him. Thank you so much for this interview. It was really needed and I hope more people start seeing the truth that he's innocent.
It pisses me off that folks aren’t outraged at two girls lying about SA cuz they hated someone they didn’t even know. But no, that seems to be okay and not needed to be mentioned much at all.. it’s rare for it to be mentioned and it legit pisses me off..
@@mami11420 oh believe me, that's what pisses me off the most. It's already difficult for women to have credibility as victims, and to see people making false allegations it doesn't help the cause at all, plus it's a huge disrespect to real victims.
Also.. I think the whole situations getting way chaotic started because of netizens' assumptions. The accusation only mentioned initial 'W', and people created theory because the reason of woojin's sudden departure from jyp still remain questionable. Then the whole over analysis video spread everywhere, him bullying skz members rumor started.. put him into the bad light right away. Rumor are so scary, and human believe easily their own assumptions are scarier
Honestly speaking, I'm a DKDKTV watcher and not a woojin/ stray kidz fan. What I loved about this interview: 1. This is probably the FIRST time an idol is openly (courageously) speaking out to the public over such an issue 2. Despite the shit- load of bad events which don't NORMALLY occur in a person's life he's mentally positive 3. His positivity or atleast the positivity he's actively showing here is what I'm proud of. Just like the saying goes, A phoenix rising from the ashes... This is the first time I've seen this happen. 4. There are SO MANY Idols/ Actors/. People whose life has been disturbed to this extent due to a MANY JOBLESS people on the internet, etc. I hope this interview acts like a beacon of hope and light to them and they find/ have the power to form a life like woojin has. 5. Lastly, I wanted to end this on a happy note but HATERS AND JOBLESS PEOPLE who do this, I hope y'all know that what goes around comes around. And when you have that time coming, even if you want to erase or apologize what you did to certain people, you can't! Cuz once you hurt someone it stays with thar someone, lurking always!
At this point I'm just utterly disappointed in anyone who doesn't even bother to see that Woojin is innocent. This interview, the documentary and 10X's statement are MORE than enough proof. Woojin deserves the world after what he had to go through. You don't have to support him if you don't like his music, but then please... don't bother to keep accusing him. His innocence is proven. Let the man live his life. So excited for the album release :D
.Actually some still mad for what Bangchan said in a live, he insinuated something and since then even tho he's innocent. Because of that, they won't forgive him.
@@kiyokochanable they say that but then completely dismiss the fact that chan said “don’t send hate to him please” and act like they’re doing chan a favour by hating on him.. like NO! chan would be knocked sick if he saw what they were doing. they need to stop hating on him in the name of protecting stray kids when they know full well stray kids would not stand for this kind of stuff. they should mind their own business. they’re grown men if they got beef they can sort it out themselves. kpop stans are insufferable
@@kiyokochanable Knowing the way Bang Chan is, I doubt he is happy about people using him and Stray Kids as an excuse to be hateful towards another human being to the point of wishing death upon him and portraying him as an abuser. People don't know why he left the group. They are not justified in that sort of behavior. They can choose not to support him without doing all of that.
Tears in his eyes while responding to the allegations made against him...I hope he will not be subjected to further slander in the future, may luck always be with you Kim Woojin.
My experience was not as terrible as his, I can't compare that but I understand what he feels deeply. I woke up one day and the whole town was talking about me, people sent death threads and even my beloved friends left me. The nightmares haunt me everyday, it made me become bitter and evil, it's hard to be as empathetic as I was before. So, even though it's so easy to let the darkness in, he never allowed himself to be that, he's still smiling and being positive about others and the future. Keep going, Kim Woojin, you're such a strong man. I'm rooting for you
I have so much respect for him, and I do apologize for believing all of the accusations even though they were false and I knew deep down that they were false. Woojin was a part of stray kids for a reason, he’s talented and I hope all of you can see that.
You're the first and only person I've seen who's apologized. It takes a lot to own upto the bad stuff we've said or done, so I'm glad people like you exist!
I do, and I also deeply apologize for believing it. I also knew it was false deep down, but SA is so common in America I just didn’t know who to believe. I hope his career grows positively
As a victim of SA and also having a sibling been accused of SA (they were innocent) when the accusations came out I couldn’t bring myself to believe the accusations. Without hard evidence there was no way I could believe a groundless claim. I understand that it could’ve been real but I still chose to stay neutral. When my brother was accused of SA the way he was treated by his peers completely changed. He was ostracized and harassed harshly by others. My brothers mental health took a sharp decline after that. And in the end we proved that he was innocent and in the end she admitted to lying since she was jealous of his new gf. Since I’ve seen what happens up close what a faulty claim could do to someone I couldn’t believe the victim when she made her claim against Woojin. And it honestly shocked me when I realized how many people decided with their emotions instead of logic. But anyways, best of luck to Woojin in the future and I hope the people who made those false claims against him get what’s coming to them.
I hope you and your family are doing well a similar situation happened to my brother. It is so harmful for real SA victims when fake victims such as those in this case make accusations which is sad.
I know exactly what you mean. I’ve been a victim of SA, and knew someone who was accused but innocent. These types of baseless accusations not only ruins the innocent person’s reputation, but also diminishes the world’s view on _REAL_ SA victims. We’ve fought so hard to be heard, and now attention-seekers and scum are tarnishing everything we’ve worked for. (Edit: accidentally tagged the wrong person, sorry!)
i hate when ppl go "i'd rather believe a liar than not support a victim" with these celebrity cases. They're big targets for hate and ppl trying to ruin their reputation. Fake claims do happen. Staying neutral is valid (all depends on the information that is out there but ye).
after watching this whole thing go down, i finally have the energy to voice my thoughts. RANT TIME!! "he may be innocent, but-" no. just no. everything that is said after those words have to be either false information or made up assumptions. "he may be innocent but he still bullied stray kids." nope. NONE of the members of stray kids have came out and said that woojin bullied them, and the videos that are uploaded as "proof" are just overanalyzed. not to mention, as stays we should know the kind of leader chan is. why on EARTH would he allow that? "he may be innocent, but he didn't handle the situation well." in the documentary that y'all kept saying was "unprofessional", it was addressed that it was a mistranslation and two statements were shown. the original statement from instagram was translated in english back to korean. there was clearly a huge difference between the two. "he may be innocent, but jyp kicked him out." clearly half of y'all that were saying this were new stays and weren't stays when he left. in the letter addressing his departure, jype CLEARLY stated that he left on his own. i agree that it was bad timing given the fact that levanter promotions weren't even over, but that shouldn't give you an excuse to continuously harass him like this. we'll never know what happened behind the scenes, and we'll never know how woojin was being treated in that company. we just won't know. so stop using that as an excuse to hate on him, it's getting annoying. "he may be innocent, but he touched himself while watching chaeryeong, who was a minor." that's how i know y'all are just reaching. some of y'all are really gullible and it's really embarassing. you can CLEARLY see was rubbing his THIGH because he was nervous. "he may be innocent but he used SA as an aesthetic." it was literally a documentary. in this documentary, he was telling HIS side of the story with all of this blowing up. he wanted to prove his innocence and show that he really isn't a bad person, yet y'all always reach and nitpick at every little thing he does and find a reason to make him seem like a bad person. "he may be innocent but-" no. just stop with the bs. y'all owe this poor man an apology. in fact, he deserves even MORE than an apology. you accused him of being a r*pist. you labeled him as a bully, ugly, a flop, untalented, and many more terrible things. but you don't want admit you are wrong and apologize to him because you want to "protect stray kids". if y'all were real stays you would know that our boys don't stand for shit like this. chan even said himself not to send him hate and just leave him alone. and the fact that y'all are more worried about fake evidence that ruined someone's career rather than him getting falsely accused for situations as serious as r*pe and SA is just disgusting. for the past year, y'all have made this poor guy's life a living hell. he can't even breathe without y'all jumping down his throat. he begged for y'all not to send him anymore hate, not to spread any more rumors about him and others. he even made an apology at one of his fanmeetings. but then you wanna say he "wanted sympathy". he has went through cyberbullying, online harrassment, death threats, defamation, false allegations, and more. yet y'all STILL want to paint him as the bad guy when he is CLEARLY the victim in this whole thing. i can’t imagine how he must’ve felt and i feel absolutely horrible for him. again, he can't even BREATHE, so please leave him alone.
They are the same people who were all like “I never liked him to begin with!” When the scandal first came out. Those “fans” just try to keep up this perfect picture of themselves, before they find the perfect opportunity to show their true feelings without being painted as a backstabber. And it’s only because of people like them, that it fails so many idols to give up their own spot.
Ngl but half the people in the comment section acting high and mighty were the same ones cancelling and saying “always believe the victim” even after all the evidence was proven false. People just don’t know how to not have opinions on every little thing.
ALWAYS believe the victim. A man is 126 times more likely to be raped than to be falsely accused of rape. That being said Woo Jin is 110% the victim in this case and he should be believed and supported, but taking an extremely rare case and using it as an example is both dangerous and damaging. Again Woo Jin is innocent and anything stating otherwise in this moment is false, bu that doesn’t give you a right to shame other victims. Sexual crimes are a massive problem all around the world and possible victims should be treated with respect. For the third time, Woo Jin is innocent but that fact does not negate any other accusations.
@@whostolemyname7273 reread my comment I said people were saying “always believe the victim” as a response to people pointing out all the evidence was proven false. I completely agree with that sentiment but it’s also completely acceptable to remain neutral without sending death threats and hate to either party when you don’t have all of the evidence. The fact that the entirety of the Kpop community was okay with killing a persons lively hood because a random Twitter account randomly made a claim and then deleted it soon after is just as dangerous of a force.
@@whostolemyname7273 again I completely agree with any possible victims being treated with respect but that doesn’t come at the expense of jumping ship on a cancel train without knowing all of the evidence either.
@@whostolemyname7273 I’ll always be neutral. I hate that people would be proud to potentially (no matter how small the percentage is) believe a liar about something as horrible as SA… in Woojin’s case, people are still after him and only talk about him but never once mention two girls lying about SA because they hated ONE person.. whether it be because he left stray kids or some other reason. I’m not gonna be happy or relieved that I supported either if it turns out they were lying. Yeah one is definitely worse than the other but it is just as horrible and disgusting to use SA as a way to ruin someone’s life due to hatred, when you don’t even know them personally. Potentially get jail time if it ever got that far (and we know how many actually get jail time too). I just don’t trust folks to tell the truth anymore so there’s no way I’d believe either one in the situation (mainly online and goes no where but to the internet judges (public opinion). I like proof and more info before blindly accepting someone’s word.

I only discovered SKZ after he left but it’s kinda insane to see how he has been completely erased, like if you didn’t do any research into stray kids early work you wouldn’t know he existed. It’s kinda frightening how kpop stars can go from being on top of the world to trash in a few hours
ngl, I was one of those people that didn’t know what to believe when this information came out. It saddens me to see how quickly rumors can spread like wildfire, and effect people’s lives so drastically. sending love to everyone
@@ihatemostpeople6711 Exactly what I did. I honestly don't know why people find it hard to wait a bit longer for the facts. Some people just naturally hate seeing others being successful.
And that's exactly what everyone should have done. But anti-stays and anti-woojin fans jumped the bandwagon and continued to send hate to turn this allegation into such a crazy situation for him.
😭😭😭 I hate myself for being one of the people that believed the rumours... I never sent him hate or anything, but I was extremely disappointed... But I'm glad it all turned out to be false!
I loved his voice the most when he was in his former group. I was very disappointed too and hoping they would turn out to be false. I'm glad he's back in the music scene as a solo artist. I'm still going to follow his music and hope he has a great career. He's got a damn good voice

Not a fake translator Korean pic of a blurred out police station and a claim you have reported a non existent case, as they did in wj case. Next time use your brains people! I honestly wanted to cry the whole time watching this. This man is so sweet and polite, his innocence has been proven yet he still gets so much hate. I can't express how happy and proud I am that he's stayed strong through everything and is thriving in is solo career. I wish him the absolute best and will continue to support him, and I hope others will come to their senses and do the same.
I wasn't interested in Stray Kids or Woojin when the controversy went down, but I still witnessed it on Twitter and looking back.. I'm not blaming the people who initially believed it, because the accusations were really serious, but to me, it does seem a bit ridiculous how big it blew up. And now that he has been telling his side of the story, people are being silent and nitpicking his every move. It's just so blatantly obvious that most of the people who made it blow up never gave a shit about the actual accusations, but were there just to witness someone's downfall.
You're right! Tbh I was pretty interested since the beginning and I can understand people who initially believed it but I can't understand the ones that believed it and still harassed him. For me if there's proof then I believe it. Point blank. There's always proof even if people take time to find it.
@@clarissaaliee I'm always neutral because i know from experience that it can be false and always know it can be true because i was groomed but i had alot of evidence this girl had a picture she took off of someone else page when she started to say she has evidence and the way they handled is pretty cool they did it respectful and nobody listen so they did it another way
Man got cancelled left, right and center. After his company's video i trust him a lot. Just because he's an idol u cannot throw hate. Their legal system will take care if he's wrong. I hope the confusions get cleared.
Honestly, as a cub, I feel like I also need to move on from the hate. I feel like I always need to defend him. Always need to correct people. But like there is no use in trying to educate the people who simply don’t want to be educated. Now it’s time to promote the new woojin and his album. Please preorder or buy his new album to support him! He deserves so much love and support.
You’re right in saying it’s no use in trying to educate the people who simply don’t want to be educated. In the end these people will just believe what they want to believe and run away when facts are shown in their face.
I also try to avoid messing with those you obviously just want to hate. I only respond to those who are just uneducated on the subject but are still willing to listen and do research and then I give them some starting points. We've gotten many new Cubs though things like that.
Sometimes I just avoid them and sometimes I can't. It just how uneducated they! Don't know about whole thing and come from no where. It's just a cubs thing maybe but we do accept the truth and we don't hate on other idol.
Perfectly said, you made me realize I need to do the same. It takes up energy and time for people that just aren't worth the trouble, when instead we could just be spreading positivity. That shows more about us and woojin than constantly debating with those who refuse facts.
Though it may seem futile to always correct people and show the truth KEEP DOING THIS! Why because it is vital to our success as a species because this doesn't just affect woojin it affects us all. Always pushing back against something that was wrong and incorrect saves us from idiocracy, where ignorance is praised and truth denied. If we allow that to prevail then rule of law will end and it will be like the old times where one can yell witch and you get executed without any chance of defense or innocence. Where people will literally drink bleach and die because telling them they are wrong is bad. Never let that happen so always defend him, because that little bit you do today for one person helps us all little by little to continue to push back against things that are wrong.
You can see it in his eyes that he’s still anxious and has a lot of pain about this which is totally understandable. It hurts to have false rumors spread about you but especially the kind of lies these were carry weight that will drag you to the bottom of the ocean. I commend Woojin for pushing through. Also, wow “Still Dream” is a beautiful and powerful song, love it! I just recently got into Stray Kids and thus wanted to check out Woojin’s work and I’m very impressed.
I became a STAY in OT8 time, but I miss his voice even tho I didn't really heard it myself when he is still part of the group. BUT I WILL BOTH SUPPORT SKZ AND WOOJIN EVEN THEY ARE IN DIFFERENT PATHS NOW! WOOJIN FIGHTING!
This man is so kindhearted, i met him in real life and couldn’t help but be mesmerised by his nature. I hope in the future, Woojin will happily live in good times and continue to receive more and more love
great interview with Woojin. it's great to hear his side of things. it must have been tough for him to hear these lies about himself and then have people actually believe it. i hope his comeback does well. oh and David looked super cute in the tee. i liked the way he rolled the sleeves. ❤❤👍👍👍
He’s a really sweet young boy and an amazing singer too. I found him on Tiktok doing covers and I was pleasantly surprised by how well he sings. Then later on found out he was a member of SKZ. Why would anyone want to sabotage his career in such a way? Fuck all the antis. Woojin, best of luck! I'll support you and your music.🙏🏼
The statement I’d rather believe a liar than an abuser baffles me because a liar is an abuser. A simple lie can leave the person getting mentally abused for the rest of their lives and getting their career destroyed. If you could just wait for proofs or atleast hear both sides before jumping to conclusions, things could get so much better honestly. So proud of woojin for talking about this and will always support him
Hey I may be late but your first sentence is my favorite. I’ve seen fans say that statement before. Like they think a lie is harmless. Honestly some lies can be really really damaging. SA is a very serious crime that hurts the victim but that does not mean that defamation (to some extent) is not that painful compared to SA. And you’re right, we should stay neutral cause at the end of the day , none of us have proofs. Only lawyers and the judges maybe. That’s why there’s a court.
@@Strawberry-ct4ih I like this too. A liar can also be an abuser - but an abuser who abuses mentally. One thing I'm utterly enraged by is how those girls made up a lie about SA, of all things. I mean, I understand if you don't like Woojin, people like and dislike idols, but you could at least have some respect for the people who have actually had to endure SA. We have people being incapacitated, killed and put through hell because of SA. And they woke up and thought, Hey, why don't we accuse him of SA? Seems like a good idea. Hon, we better not come face-to-face. If anything, this whole drama is going to make it harder for actual victims of SA to make their stories heard. Yeesh. Those girls need to go back to school.
My man was so nervous.. omg I literally felt like crying .. people are so bad.. I'm glad he dealt with everything and now is standing strong.. he has the sweetest personality and I'm happy to support him .. a cub with my whole heart
He got the voice and the looks. He is also backed by an agency that believes in him. Hopefully the agency can come up with great marketing and great music for him. Because I believe success is the meeting point between determination and opportunity.
"A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes." I think about this quote every time a new scandal happens. That's why I try to stay neutral, do my research, hear both sides of the story, and only form an opinion if there is sufficient evidence. Netizens need to stop judging others by the "guilty until proven innocent" mentality.
i think it's weird how stans pick and choose when to apply the "always believe the victim" logic. because with hyunjin, they did all they could to say that the bullying allegations weren't that deep and that he could have never done something like that. but for woojin, people were coming out of the woodworks to drag woojin over rumors that had no evidence whatsoever. and the strangest thing to me, was that there was a lot of talk about looks. saying that someone has "fine" and "handsome" as hyunjin wouldn't even need to bully anyone. but with woojin, people were saying that "he's ugly anyways" and that they could "finally say how they felt". i was never that into stray kids pre- or post- woojin depart, but it was so saddening to see how people that he considered his fans and people that he believed would stand up for him were so quick so jump on baseless rumors and damage his name without giving him a chance to explain himself. all of the "woojail" jokes and such were so disgusting. i just hope he's doing fully okay now, and i'll definitely be watching his solo debut. still dream was amazing, and i can't wait for the mini album!!
Well they must look perfect which I know it’s not true cause they hide behind a profile which Woojin doesn’t need to do he is far from ugly he is really handsome and has an amazing body I’m really attracted to him
Both Hyunjin and Woojin situation is completely different.Let me tell you the difference. When Woojin left SKZ in October 2019, the whole fandom was confused. It came out of nowhere and right before a comeback. So everyone wants answers. But the company only said “personal reasons”. So after that, everyone was making rumors or assumptions to why he left. A lot of them came to a conclusion that he was guilty of something. Because no one just leave a group for no reason. So for 10 months everyone was just eager to find out. It was like a long unsolved case. But when September 2020 came it, an anonymous account accused him of sexual harassments and everyone was so quick to jump into a conclusion. It was like a “I knew it he was guilty of something to leave the group!!” I’m not saying what they did was right or wrong. But Woojin made it worse for himself by his half-assed apology and his “fake” company. So everyone was convinced that he was guilty. But in Hyunjin case, he had people backing him up, his old friends and teachers came out saying he never bullied anyone. JYPE confirmed his innocence. Unlike Woojin, he had no one to help him prove his innocence. And this bullying accusations of Hyunjin happened before in 2018 when a girl said he used to bully a girl back in school but everyone knows he went to all-boys school. So that’s why nobody take this bullying accusations seriously. I hope this explain it. It’s got nothing to do with ‘pretty privileges’ or whatever you accuse of him to.
@@janetagale397 The thing is neither of the statements had backing and yeah its different but both had evidence supporting Woojin/Hyunjin. As for the half assed apology or fake company, that's not even a reason to hate on him more. He didn't have to apologize for anything in the first place. Also considering it wasn't even an apology but a letter explaining his innocence but it was mistranslated makes that backless. The fake company thing was another excuse to hate on him. Yes, they wanted answers. No, they didn't have any reason to come up with more excuses to hate on him
@@janetagale397 lmai stays have deluded themselves into thinking that Hyunjin went to an all boys highschool 😭😭. The victim is from middle school and he did go to a co-ed school at that time. Check his namu wiki page and confirm it yourself, the school's name is there
@@atlantasaikia6477 also the teacher didn't defend him? Just said that the enviroment was really bad in that class so it was "normal"... so yeah I don't see that being the defense they thought it was. They should keep the same energy with everyone, and if you can't then maybe dont make any comments. I decided to stan skz (mainly bcs Felix and Seungmin) even after knowing all their controversies (han, hyunjin, chan, the curry song and all that) and I don't make any comments on anything, just keep it factual and just hope they learn because I don't want them to be unable to live and work.
Stay let's all just move on and even you guys didn't want to get involved with him anymore or you don't want to support him, at least show him some respect. Chan thought us to be a good fandom. Wishing all the luck to you Woojin. Goodluck for your future career. Hope you find your happiness and success.
Its simple if they didnt want to be associated with Kim Woojin anymore, just LEAVE HIM ALONE. Ignore his promotion or music release. Make as if never heard of him. No need to come all the way to his channel and waiting for his contents even faster than CUBs themselves (I admire their dedication tho) and then throw hate comments.
not to mention that chan called stays out and told them not to spread hate towards woojin... i bet he would be very upset to know that his fandom was hating on something he was really close to
Im a new stay and ill never forgive stays for what they did to this guy.. i dont think yall realize that they ruined his life for no reason at all...glad hes living his life now and is growing.
I’m a STAY since OT9 days and I was one of those who cried upon his departure. And Woojin’s familiar smile while introducing himself gives off this nostalgic feeling. You can’t deny that, mate- *cries silently in a corner*
I remembered I cried so much when he left, it really broke my heart. Eventho I'm an OT8 STAY now, it still hurts me sometimes thinking about how they used to be OT9. I recently got a woojin card from buying the old albums and it hit me hard again 😭. But I'm sure both woojin and skz are doing well in their own way, its probably a blessing in disguise. I wish them both all the happiness and success. Hwaitingg
i remember going to a stray kids concert back in 2019 and when i found out woojin left i was like huh???? no way this has to be a joke knowing they wont ever perform together hurts but im very happy that i got to see ot9 at least once in my life
A certain fandom owe this man a HUGE apology. My heart breaks for him he didnt deserve what happened to him. But karma will get those malicious people who went out of their way to tarnish his name, that's a fact!!
I had nothing to do with Woojin at all, I wasn't even a Stray Kids fan then (I am now) and yet I just had a negative opinion of him just because of what I was listening and watching around me. I never spread any hate because I don't believe it has any positive effect ever, but I still just had a negative bias, despite only knowing that a person like Woojin exists and this is what he looks like. Whenever I saw or heard of him, I just thought "BAD!", and that's what scares me the most. Its that my gullible brain actually believed all that I heard and saw instead of having thoughts about it and considering it even for a minute before thinking negatively. I even remember watching videos detailing how he was a bully and how he was just a really bad person, despite me not even looking out for information about him. It was almost like everywhere everyone was trying to make me believe Woojin is bad. I feel so bad and scared because false accusation is a crime and should be heavily punished and yet people are suffering because of it. Sure being anonymous is amazing on the internet but its not fun, for anyone, when used to accuse and that too falsely. It also makes it worse for actual victims of crimes to come out just out fear that lesser people will be inclined to believe them even if they tried. I hope the world changes for the better. I'm so glad Woojin was able to stand tall despite all this and came out even better and stronger, not everyone can do that, so he's already inspiring. I wish him the best of luck for the future!
I just became a Stay and finding out the false allegations against Woojin. I hate that the fandom is so toxic rn that he's made a comeback. I've had ppl coming at me on twitter for supporting him. I just hate it. Why can't you just leave the man alone? His music is amazing, you can't deny that. I hope everyone (not only Stays) will see and realize that rumors SHOULD NOT be taken as the truth. Fighting! Kim Woojin! You are awesome!
Thanks, thanks a LOT. You might not know how much this means for us Cubs. Thanks for the space, and the respect you displayed, and the way you clarify some things during the live chat too
I think everyone still remembers that time when those people who burned his old SKZ photocards.... imagine that was the level of wildfire he had to take.
I didn't know that happened. I heard about all the rumors that circled around him but I didn't know people were burning his photocards. I wonder what they did when everything said he was innocent. I don't get why people automatically assume that he did it. What happened to "Innocence until proven guilty"? He was even proven innocent and people still hate on him
yeah, people were burning their photo cards and saying that they never even liked woojin in the first place, making fun of his looks and voice. I was a new stay at the time and it was terrifying to see how stays were acting.
@@junuzu same, i had always enjoyed being a stay, interacting with them and stanning stray kids.. but this really changed my view on them and although I still stan stray kids, I’m really not comfortable in the fandom anymore.
@@starrygrimes500 I love stray kids, they're one of my ults but stay aren't my favorite fandom after all that happened. It just seemed like everyone was waiting for something bad to happen to woojin considering how fast almost everyone started to hate on him :((
I only became a Stay almost 2 months ago, so all the drama (or at least the biggest parts of it) with Woojin has kind of come and gone. From watching the older SKZ videos with him in it, he seemed like a really nice guy that fit in to the group, and imo I think he was their best vocalist. He doesn’t seem like a bad guy in my eyes, and I’m sorry for everything he went through. I was hesitant in doing so at first since Stays seem to have moved on from him (8 is fate and all that, which I’m fine with too), but I think I’m ready to support Woojin too ❤️ Thank you David for the interview!
I see some comments in the comment section stating the Woojin and his company didn't handle the situation well and I disagree. Even though he got a lot of hate and people cancelling him, I personally think he handled the situation pretty well. He kept himself together, believed in himself, and continued doing music - which he is passionate about. I am glad that he is keeping a positive mindset and thought that the situation was a way for him to improve himself, and I respect that. I am also happy that he is not ignoring the controversy and is open to talking about it. I hope everyone can just respectfully move on about the situation, support who they want to support, and focus on themselves as well because your world doesn't revolve around K-pop idols/groups.
10x registered in July 2020, WJ signed in August 2020. 2 weeks later Thais and Rafa posted their lies. How did anyone expect wj & 10x to be ready for the storm that blasted their way? Branding alone takes months sometimes! The problem with people is that they don't know how to be logical, fair and reasonable! They prefer drama and sensationalism!
people don't understand how to act like adults. and even till this day, they are still twisting his words and what the company is doing for him and its disgusting how they are ride or die to cancel woojin
I agree. I think both handled it mostly well. The company I think messed it up a bit was JYP by being so vague about why Woojin was leaving just before a comeback. Because they were not direct, people started speculating and making up all the rumors about Woojin that have been hurting his career.
Seeing an idol directly address a scandal/rumor is surreal to me because in all my years of listening to KPOP, I’ve never really seen an idol speak so candidly. It’s refreshing. I wish more idols would do it because it seems as though, very obviously, that fans forget that idols are 100% human when the cameras are off. I hope that Woojin can fully heal from this and flourish as an artist because I loved his voice when he was active in the group and his pre-debut song sounds immaculate.
He was deeply hurt by all the baseless accusations and will probably carry the scars forever, but he has shown his strength of character and worked hard to achieve his dream. Truly an inspiration.💗💗
I believe, one of the girls was kicked out of her University. Karma, she ruined woojins life and now her life is starting to crumble apart. Justice will always be served!
i am a stay and i hope that he is okay right now and i wish him all the best things he deserves after he went through all of this bad things and stress, please stay healthy and continue on being an amazing person you already are woojin🥰
It's sad that I only got to know him after this controversy... But since I'm new to all this, I guess I can also see the situation with unbiased eyes, and I have to give my ultimate respect to this young man... It must have been infuriating and devastating to have to deal with being falsely accused for a crime this horrible and on top of that having nobody believe you... His courage and perseverance is inspiring.. I'm looking forward to listening to his upcoming music...his personality is also very sympathetic, so it's strange that so many people hate him...
When he said he watches black mirror and theres lots to learn from it... Aww. He seems like a genuine and lovely person. Wish him happiness and lots of good work in future.
Omg this was so unexpected Holy shit thank you so much for making this happen David n Danny!!! I remember like yesterday when i saw the news broke about him parting with Skz. Its sad to say but Woojin looks so much more comfortable here by himself than when he was with Stray Kids. He feels so much more free and much more relatable to aswell. Like he really needed to be free. I see that there were definitely a stylistic and musical differences behind the scenes.
Why must this be released right after listening to "purple sky" audio teaser😭 I'm crying. Your songs teaser made me cry. Seeing you trying to make cubs happy everyday made me cry. Stay strong woojinnn😭
The fact that he is so candidly willing to talk about it points to his innocence. Guilty people wouldn't risk a slip up in a casual talk. Hope he has a great career
He is so kind and beautiful why do people say he is ugly? I really can never understand! I hope that God will help him and he can be happy and sing at the Superbowl and that people can respect him, and God I just thank you for the fans like the ones in the comments and around the world, and that he has released his album.
I’m not a fan of woojin but honestly I feel bad for him like it sucks being in a huge controversy we’re they are accusing you in doing something really bad but l I’m so glad that his company is taking legal action and it’s good to see woojin back with his creative freedom and doing what he loves best singing

I really piss me off especially as a SA and abuse victim that those girls hated someone so much that they just had to ruin his career, they had no place at all too say that kind of shit even though they probably don't know what it is like to be in that position and the fear. I just hope that at least more people start to realize that Woojin is innocent and less hate comments will appear!

Missing subtitle at 11:10 Q.What was the toughest part when the rumors started spreading?
Sorry, it autocorrected me! I meant Woojin, not Wonbin!
Congrats on the interview David, you did an awesome job.

@@kelvinzhang36why do you want woojin to be a horrible person so badly it’s none of your business why he left
I wish I could post pictures for you all to see how amazing he was and still is 🙏🏽
Edit #2 6/21
Watching the new Woojin video I Like The Way. Amazing 🙌🏽🙌🏽. Still love him 🥰
Maybe because woojin has a different music taste as you can listen to some of his songs. Is way different then the songs skz are releasing now.

From now on, let's all create beautiful memories together :)

We can see that Woojin is restless throughout this interview. Woojin's hand gestures and teary eyes couldn't lie to us and it showed how much pain he was in. I would have been even worse. If we put ourselves in his shoes, we will know how worse it is.
Honestly what also bad about that they makes it a joke of woman who have actually been through situations like that
Lies are spreading faster than the truth
Honestly speaking, I'm a DKDKTV watcher and not a woojin/ stray kidz fan.
What I loved about this interview:
1. This is probably the FIRST time an idol is openly (courageously) speaking out to the public over such an issue
2. Despite the shit- load of bad events which don't NORMALLY occur in a person's life he's mentally positive
That so true about "What goes around comes around" and you don't have to be around to see it, it will Come Around!!! LATINA IN TEXAS!
Unemployment is a real issue for people in some countries, including Korea so why don't you shutup about the jobless??? Not all trolls are jobless.
I feel the same about Wonho. Its wrong when netizens ruin someone’s life and career like this!
The point is he shouldn't be accused even if he wasn't proven innocent, if there are no facts either way then noone should be accused
My experience was not as terrible as his, I can't compare that but I understand what he feels deeply. I woke up one day and the whole town was talking about me, people sent death threads and even my beloved friends left me.
Wow so sorry to hear about that, I hope doing well now.
I hope you and your family are doing well a similar situation happened to my brother. It is so harmful for real SA victims when fake victims such as those in this case make accusations which is sad.
THISSSS. Thank you for sharing your experience. This was honestly my mind the entire time when everything was happening.
Someone FINALLY SAID IT. I salute you.
THANK YOUUU
Not to forget people accusing him of faking a whole as* company... What the fudge?
They are the same people who were all like “I never liked him to begin with!” When the scandal first came out. Those “fans” just try to keep up this perfect picture of themselves, before they find the perfect opportunity to show their true feelings without being painted as a backstabber. And it’s only because of people like them, that it fails so many idols to give up their own spot.
I SALUTE YOU
Ngl but half the people in the comment section acting high and mighty were the same ones cancelling and saying “always believe the victim” even after all the evidence was proven false.
I think he got the best company in this situation. His company puts an effort to make a warning video and now they are letting him voice out his side.
To the people who accused him for being a bully, you're a bully itself for saying such a thing to a person you never met:))
I can see his pain, even tho he is smiling, his eyes tells the opposite😭
yeah, no shade but like his vocals really carried the group. He's always been so stable and a great singer
you're better than at least 90% of stays. stay who you are, don't believe in lies, and stay by skz forever!💕
yeah me too! :)
Me too, I'm rooting them even they are in their own path
This man is so kindhearted, i met him in real life and couldn’t help but be mesmerised by his nature. I hope in the future, Woojin will happily live in good times and continue to receive more and more love
great interview with Woojin. it's great to hear his side of things. it must have been tough for him to hear these lies about himself and then have people actually believe it. i hope his comeback does well. oh and David looked super cute in the tee. i liked the way he rolled the sleeves. ❤❤👍👍👍
David is an excellent interviewer, he really does his research, and knows how to speak about sensitive issues with compassion.
He didn’t really say anything.
Thankyou so much for wanting to support him he really needs that 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@archie8893 I thank all his truest fans for taking care of him and has been consistently supporting him.
"A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes."
I think about this quote every time a new scandal happens.
Hope you find your happiness and success.
you are a wise and smart person .... well said
i agree with you. honestly, the amount of hate immature stays throw at woojin makes me want to leave the fandom for good :(
Its simple if they didnt want to be associated with Kim Woojin anymore, just LEAVE HIM ALONE. Ignore his promotion or music release. Make as if never heard of him. No need to come all the way to his channel and waiting for his contents even faster than CUBs themselves (I admire their dedication tho) and then throw hate comments.
not to mention that chan called stays out and told them not to spread hate towards woojin... i bet he would be very upset to know that his fandom was hating on something he was really close to
@@geniinabottle2005 totally agree with you

I’m a STAY since OT9 days and I was one of those who cried upon his departure. And Woojin’s familiar smile while introducing himself gives off this nostalgic feeling. You can’t deny that, mate-
*cries silently in a corner*
I remembered I cried so much when he left, it really broke my heart. Eventho I'm an OT8 STAY now, it still hurts me sometimes thinking about how they used to be OT9. I recently got a woojin card from buying the old albums and it hit me hard again 😭. But I'm sure both woojin and skz are doing well in their own way, its probably a blessing in disguise. I wish them both all the happiness and success. Hwaitingg

you are a TRUE CUB,,,,,,,,
I see you every where in woojin’s video and Kim woojin support you are a true cub
Could have sold them tho xd, they would’ve gained something from it 🤷
I didn't know that happened.
Welcome to the family new cub 🥰🥰
@@paulapeniche9592 yeah JYP really fucked him over
MATURE AND HUMBLE. THAT’S THE MAN I STAN AND PROTECTED SINCE DAY 1 😭
Seeing an idol directly address a scandal/rumor is surreal to me because in all my years of listening to KPOP, I’ve never really seen an idol speak so candidly.
