A trilogy that’s popular that I enjoyed was the once upon a broken heart series by Stephanie Garber. The main girl starts off very naive and innocent, which annoys some people. But she grows. The second book is my favorite, where I feel you get the most tension. But there is tension throughout the series. There are two main male interests, one being a known Villain but tends to be misunderstood. It reads like a Fairy Tale. I think you may enjoy the tension in Powerless by Lauren Roberts too. The second book, Reckless, comes out it in July I think. Similar vibes to the hunger games. I also enjoyed Divine Rivals. It’s also a bit of a slowburn. The female main character’s brother is actually in the military. Her motivations and career progression end up tying into that (idk what else to say about that without spoiling). I plan on trying Throne of Glass and a Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass, which I’ve been putting off since they’re both BIG series. I heard those get more adult as the series progresses. I heard a Court of Thorns and Roses may have smut, but I’m not sure since I never read it. I think the recommended age limit is higher for that series. For fantasy that doesn’t have much romance, I have a different list for 😅. But I hope this helps you choose which to start or pick up, or even recommend to others.
