To organize such an event is itself commendable.. Inclusiveness and equality at it's best.. it also shows that physical limitations cannot deter a person from aspiring big in life..
I get so emotional watching this. I'm proud of every competitor who gets to see their dreams of being a champion realized. To those who don't win, you are an inspiration. It's an honor to watch them compete. They represent so much more than their country. They represent an indomitable spirit that is at the heart of the Olympics.
That Jason Smyth legend is amazing. 10.64sec is outstanding! 99% of the world will never run as fast as him. Heck! the Irish 100m record is 10.18sec, I reckon, he can reach the final on merit! On his best day, I think he can medal.
The race at the 3:30 mark, it looks like the people are holding onto something. I take it that at least one of each pair has a visual impairment? I'm currently in my 50s and I've been playing wheelchair sports since I was about 5 years old. The coolest thing I EVER saw was a game of soccer between two teams of visually impaired people. That and watching a swim meet where one of the contestants was blind. Two of the most awe inspiring sporting events that I've ever witnessed.
This is fantastic. Gives so much needed motivation, love, and pride for these athletes. i just wish it was easier to watch Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games as nothing is being uploaded and barely covered.
Waoo ,No sabía que la persona con discapacidades podían competir en los olímpicos,Dios lo bendiga muchos a la persona que organizan este evento, respeto para todos y bendiciones
Which race? T13 are visually impaired in Para track but see well enough to not use a guide and T12 have the option of a guide. I'm guessing you are referring to those runners from those categories.

The Paralympic games have been going on for decades. What are you on about?

Apart from the athletes, the energy from the guides is 🔥
Guides are literal angels. What an amazing event
Those soccer players are unbelievable. Playing soccer blind seems impossible to me but these guys look almost as good as my D2 college's team.
Siamand Rahman Iranian powerlifter passed away on March 1 2020. R.I.P champs.
More people should be watching
It’s only on apps that you need a tv provider to watch it live. Not on abc and USA and other channels like regular olympics.
@@juanmiguel3395 dang, good point 👍

One doubt, what disablility did those runners have?
The T13 category is for athletes with a moderate visual impairment
t11-t13 : visual impairments
@@Mememeep thanks. I was genuinely wondering about that.

This is just sad.
