  • We were told that there was a cliffside walkway from Casa Sol all the way down to the Town of Zipolite or Playa Zipolite (the beach) depending on which way you go at the fork at the very bottom. This video will bring us all down the cliff and into the Town of Playa Zipolite and a tour of Main Street which is called "Adoquin"

    Guanabana is a native fruit to Mexico I believe another name for it is soursop you can find it in Asian markets

    Wow nice place thanks for making this video. I'm thinking of visiting Zipolite this year from uk, it will be my first time in Mexico. I don't know much Spanish, will that be a problem in Zipolite?

      Thanks for the question Thomas - Fear not . . . the majority of the people in the money loop speak English or can grab someone who can translate for them. Trying to learn the basic of please, thank you, good day, how are you, etc. goes a long way there. Your gonna be fine and you will laugh to yourself in hindsight at any of your current concerns.

    Thanks for the tour. Is this an adult community I didn't see family with kids.

      This is basically a nudist destination and predominantly gay. If you're into it it is a must, if you're not you can still comfortably hang out as long as your not lurking. In my opinion this is not a place for kids 😃

    I really appreciated this quaint video of a very cool place!! But…
    Seriously? You’re walking around a small Mexican town talking loudly in English… why not tone it down a bit?
    Just my personal opinion. Not hate or anything!
    Just noticing the manner of Americans…
    Thanks for inspiring me to practice my Spanish every day!!

      I wanted to say the same thing but didn't want to hurt anyones feelings. In all of my travels Americans and Chinese are the loudest and rudest no matter what country. Sad but true.

    Referring to the chicken, I told "finito" that is Italian, not Spanish. The right way to sat over is "acabado" està acabado? Or better... Ya se acabó? Zipolite was my home

    • @Spontaneous2day
      @Spontaneous2day  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree but if you also know a little bit of Italian most people will understand. So that said, should you ever visit Italy and talk to the locals in Spanish they will not only understand you but welcome you with kindness. Thank you for clarifying this for us all 👍

    Hi, we are in Zipolite until mid-March - staying at Casablanca, near Casa Sol. Saw a drone the other day and now wonder if it was yours. Maybe our paths will cross while here. Lori & John

      Hi John - that was indeed ours. We would have loved to meet up with you but we left on Thursday morning for mexico City where we stayed for 2 nights before departing for Panama today. Got here and found out that they are totally locked down in hard Red. Not a person on the street. You get caught out there and you will definitely see Panamanian swift justice! Fortunately it will only be until Monday morning and then it becomes wide open again. So we will spend the next 2 days researching what and where we are going :-)

    So how does Mexico make all these cute towns? Do you think they have a very good urban planning commission, maybe run federally, and they direct the development of these towns, to promote tourism? So maybe the aesthetics of this place is directed, and not so spontaneous? What do you think? I guess someone should ask a Mexican what they know about it.

    • @Spontaneous2day
      @Spontaneous2day  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great questions- most of them start as small quiet fishing villages. Then people start coming and then they stay. After that they build and invite more people to see what they got. Just my opinion might not even be correct 😀

    • @saratemp790
      @saratemp790 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Spontaneous2day I think you are partially correct. But the towns just seem too cute. So I think at some point, someone steps in from the government and helps them along. More power to them. I wish we did that more in the US. Actually I know some towns in the US did do that. For example I know Charlotte NC some years called in a design firm from Italy to redevelop and beautify their downtown. That same Italian design firm did downtown Greeneville SC. Hmm, I wonder if they work for Mexico too.
