@cammarkgross Well... it didn't say that the cow was a "Longhorn", it just says "The Cow". The chute was designed for cattle with big horns and is named the "Bry Longhorn" chute because it is designed for big horned cattle. For demonstration, we used the biggest horned cow available that day, which happened to be a Watusi cow. If you can work a Watusi in it, a longhorn will be easy.
Wow I grew up on a ranch and have worked more cattle since I was very young. That is a cowboy killer! You are going to put in a 1500 lb bull or cow and then tie them in with that little rope? Good luck!
Well, Cory, There are hundreds of them out there now belonging to Longhorn, Watusi, and Scotch Highland people. Guess it depends on how crazy your bull is. It is all in the bloodlines. We used a chute just like this made of wood for 22+ years from 68-80's, and never had a problem. Oh, and we are one of the largest Texas Longhorn Breeders in the country with a herd of 1000. Don't use one of these at our main facility, but do at satellite facilities. This is designed for small herds and small breeders.
Our cows are pretty mild and they would break that rope, that's if you could fuck around long enough to get one in there. This is designed for cattle that are handled all the time, show cattle etc. Any beef cattle rancher would want to stay away from it.
chughes44 this is targeted toward the small/hobby Breeder. Most of those folks have cattle that are pets. Someone with only 4-5 cows can't afford to spend the cost of 3-4 cows on a full featured cattle chute. We also have sold many of these units to veterinarians.
taihem2010 believe it or not but it actually helps them deal with then heat and of course fend off predators, there’s a reason why there are many different breeds of cattle, don’t like horns run a polled breed, pretty simple .

Yes
Yes, But will it blend?
Such long horns. 🐂🐂🐂
How did I even get here??
Most of us brand on the left side. Do you make a chute for that?
Why did I just watch a 6 minute video about cattle chute when I don't even own a single cow? I'm in that weird part of youtube again... :/
These type of cattle are more valuable the bigger the horns are.

Watusi
I wonder of lions would think it twice when they see these guys...
This is a very good and also inexpensive chute for any horned cattle and we recommend it.

why don't you just dehorn them when they are young? what's the purpose of having cattle with such large horns?
taihem2010 believe it or not but it actually helps them deal with then heat and of course fend off predators, there’s a reason why there are many different breeds of cattle, don’t like horns run a polled breed, pretty simple .
Because these cattle are supposed to have horns, people breed them to have them, as they are considered beautiful

Why in the world do you want to measure his horn? Are you going to sell it to the chinese to eat? Buy, you guys have nothing to do out there.
They are more for looks and the longer the horns the more valuable obviously.
