"non Smoking" ashtrays are pretty common. If you remind someone to not smoke, you want to provide a place to put the cigarette. A lit cigarette in the paper-bin isn't that much fun as it first sounds

Company "rewarded" top performers with a Trip to the Dominican Republic a few years back (Everyone ended up sick for at least one day of the trip, or upon our return home) but all the Rooms had a window into the shower... you'd think this might be an 'exclusive' feature for 'Couples' Suites"
and I worked as a night manager a Decade ago for ~3 weeks at a Local Chain Motel (IIRC it was Built as a Best Western, but by my time there it was a Local chain, and since has been bought out by another National Chain) in any case, they had the "Two Chairs and a Table" thing on an inaccessible area over the door as well
2:13 is very deliberate, it's to try and prevent guests, especially kids, from running down the corridor.
Still remember the crime scene I found in my hotel. Came with blood splatter that the maid missed

0:32 -Once rented a studio apartment with a bathroom pretty much like that in Malaysia. There was evidence that the previous occupant had covered the embarrassing enormous clear glass window with newspaper, but it had all been removed in a recent redecoration. My entire stock of writing paper was used up to preserve modesty.

I dont know where you all are staying!! But these were hysterically horrendous!! Ive only worked in hotels in America, if we had ANY of those problems we would have lost our Brands of the hotels, ( Holiday Inn, Hilton, so forth.) Amazing some of these seem acceptable to them. Whewww.

Krakels are from the United States aren't they? And the Baymont Inn & Suites is in Florida.... and I'm sure one of the pictures had a caption saying they were staying at a hotel in Minnesota... and the toothbrush used as a toilet-roll holder says it's a shitty hotel in New York!

Just by reading her comment you can deduce that she's quite a young girl who's probably worked maybe 2 season's, possibly at the same hotel as a Chambermaid or on reception.

I'm hoping that she's young and can be gforgiven for her naivety and coming across as an arrogant American and is too ignorant to realise. Clearly that's why I'm having to explain to you, @Sarah Nyb, the reason for most American people not thinking about the way they present themselves to the rest of the world before they speak 😗
I read it as quite a snobby and naive comment from a young lady who opened her big American mouth and commented without really thinking about what she was saying and how she would come across to others.
It's like "you all" and where we "all are staying!!" is how she sees the rest of the world and all of the humorous content and brain dead ideas in the video only happens outside of America.
Through her eyes American hotels don't have "ANY of those problems", because, according to Donna, if things like that happened in the USA, America would have lost it's branded hotels (Holiday Inn, Hilton, so forth), of which Donna - being an American herself - is very proud of and while the examples in the video of shockingly low standards might go on in the rest of the world, she wants to point out that they wouldn't be acceptable in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA!! 💪🇺🇸 @Sarah Nyb

5:28 Phuc is pronounced more like "ph-oop" and Dat is tonally heavy and it goes down, not up. In combination, the name means happiness and success (b/c Vietnamese believe that a good name can bring good luck). So it's the foreigner's pronunciation that is inappropriate because it is hard for tourists to pronounce tonal languages. But man, English speakers must get a kick out of it, lol.
I don't see anyone has commented on the captions other than the size so maybe there's something wrong with my phone but theyre only flashing on the screen for a second. I couldn't even pause fast enough to get them because they make it that much funnier

You can't hear anything except music. It would have been nice if they would have let us hear the audio from the fail videos! SERIOUSLY!!! I'm legally blind since birth, and I can't see much, but it helps me when I hear audio from the videos. You know for example if somebody breaks the mirror in the hotel bathroom, there's the audio from the glass breaking. Now when the videos become funny! But this video? I hate to say it, but since I can't see well, I don't know what happened.
Outta town for work the hotel maids refolded our used towels didn't make the beds and went through our bags my co worker left an upper decker (poop in the tank part of the toilet) so for your safty dont ever look in there

Bro don't ever call yourself that, and you can obviously read, and yes I struggled at one time with reading, it wasn't until I was in my late 20s that I took a class on Learning how to Learn when I realized the importance of defining words, all the times that I would read a paragraph and at the end go completely blank was actually because of the misunderstood word, I learned that going past any word you do not fully understand causes the subconscious mind to struggle to define it, so I would go back to where I was doing good reading and look for the word, after I find it I now define it, then use it in sentences until it becomes fast, this word was fun! Anyway once that is done that word is added to my vocabulary forever and my mind can continue downloading information unhindered. So its super important to define words like this, Its definitely not a common word and by not defining it a persons mind can get foggy from these words. This tip changed my life, I now remember everything I read, and my mind has become very clear. One more tip, if you yawn while reading 99% of the time you just passed a misunderstood word. I can't believe this isn't taught in 2nd grade but thats suppression for ya! Best wishes to ya, Monkey Man! Thanks for commenting!
