Honestly I just go into build mode in the parks and add stuff because base game parks are kinda just nature parks really (which I don’t mind but occasionally I like to play with families and kid sims), I think I converted a big chunk in the willow creek park completely to a kids playground in my old save because if you have either the pack with kids toys (can’t remember the one, think it’s toddlers), or custom content then it doesn’t cost anything to build on a public lot so I mainly just edit the parks that way, and that way I can customise it myself and stuff too
Right like there’s almost never any new baby/toddler build mode objects. If you don’t have any other packs it’s sooo difficult to furnish a nursery/ or even kids room in some cases. It’s ridiculous

One of the simgurus said that they didn't include horses because they wouldn't have served a function. Llamas came with wool for knitting, cows for milk, chickens for eggs, etc. That sounds like (horse)shit to me! My guess is that they'll add horses in another pack like my first pet stuff.

I don’t think the sims team is ever TRULY going to fix the sims 4, that would require them to fix fundamental issues like the bugs and how certain mechanics function, certain mechanics being omitted, and the general lack of gameplay, so they’re just going to constantly tack on new content to distract us from how problematic everything is until the sims 5 comes out, but not me cus I got my eyes on Paralives 🤩
Honestly i completly agree, i recently watched a video analyzing the games promo and release and its clear that the sims 4 was intended to be a mulitplayer game which makes sense considering the loading screens on every lot etc. this explains the lack of lore, story progression and personality given to npcs. It is very similar to the sims online that was released ages ago and if you check out the multiplayer mod for sims 4 it works the same. This game was half-assed from the start and they dont really intend to fix the MANY issues. if they wanted to they would have. The sims 1,2 and three were not perfect experiences but they got many things right for the context of a single player experience and gave the sims 4 a great opportunity to build onto things they couldnt do before, for them to try "fixing" things that werent broken makes no sense. its far too late for it to get better, lets just hope they take more time and consideration for the next sims game :(
My pipe dream is that they completely revamped the base game and all the packs. Like go back, fix the bugs, and add more game play and lots to the old packs. I'd rather have a complete overhaul of sims 4 than another buggy sims game. That's just me tho and I doubt it'll happen.
@@christicat221b I hope so too tbh, they did a community survey a while back where there was a list of packs to revamp and we ranked them based on how much we thought they needed to be further fleshed out but we haven’t heard back since and it’s been months if not at least a year since then so who knows if something like that is in the works :/
I don’t think that any sims players had a llama phase. I think that it is just how the sims used a llama as a mascot. If you look in other packs there is just random llama stuff just thrown into packs to make it a mascot. I think it is the sims team that has a llama phase.
It’s in every pack but this is the first living Llama that I can think of in the sims and they not bout to do all those animations for horses because budget and EA
Llamas have always been a thing, and the actual players have always been confused at why there's a llama. They need to stop trying to bring llamas into things and just embrace their *actual* symbol: the vibrating heart s*x bed..
Eh, I guess I'm a little older than the community here but growing up llamas were always a symbol of randomness, and some people most certainly had a llama phase (I hope they're out of it by now it's been 20 years...). I'm not sure if it was influenced by the sims (or other pop culture things like Napoleon Dynamite) or if it started as a thing of its own and then got used in games, movies and TV shows though. At this point I don't know if I would rather the sims team come up with a new joke or keep the llama for the nostalgia factor.
I’m tired of everything being a stall. I want my sims to go inside building and do things. Even if it’s a rabbit hole. I’m tired of useless shells just there to look pretty. At least make them rabbit holes. There be nothing to do in the town centers. Just a stall and shell buildings. It’s boring and tired at this point.

We need bigger worlds!! if its supposed to be a small town then I dont want to have to travel to other worlds bc that breaks immersion, but its so easy to get bored only playing with 13 lots.... next.

For the world we should get 3 buildings lots for record companies that are also competing against each other for business..… O my gosh I got so much ideas 😭
they need to go back and make drastic changes and improvements to basically every pack pre 2019. like restaurants is STILL nearly unplayable. and they need to go back to stuff packs and update the meshes and overall quality of cas/build items. if they do this i believe people who don’t pay for expansions or only pay for a couple will actually consider buying them (only on sale though of course) like the quality of the clothes in the first couple packs is so fucking ugly

I think it's the fact that they wanted to make horses but didn't want to work out how to have sims ride them, and not a lot of people will scream and cry about the fact that you can't ride llamas, so... that's what we're left with lol
personally im glad we dont have horses. knowing the sims it would either be super buggy or not fleshed out enough given it would be just one part of the pack. or both.
The reasons for not including horses is dumb to me. First was that it was that they didn’t have enough resources to create horses. An expansion pack would be probably be the only type of pack that could implement horses in game. The second is that horses don’t align with their garden to table experience, which I would rebutted with horse meatballs and horseradish… or you know enhance cottage experience of riding in the field with horses.
I’m hoping they chose not to include horses this time so that they’ll make a game pck in future entirely dedicated to horses, I feel like if it was included in this pack they would have half assed it bc they added so much other stuff
Sims 4 gameplay is so stale. That’s why I only go on there to build. I keep going back to TS3 and right now I’m obsessing over TS2 💕 Lore, chemistry, and jealousy. The drama.

Amanda you should do a sims 3 lp or play it privately, i recently became overwhelmed with the sims 4 issues and went back to sims 3. The graphics are a bit of a setback but the nostalgia and open world + story progression and actual lore make it such a fun playthrough 10+ years later :)
with reshade + mods& custom sliders the game can look astounding. just look at Eriu Fe showcases on youtube or users like panosita on tumblr. sims 3 can look beautiful

that game is so much harder too. so fun. it is much more of a grind. for graphics I use reshaders and CC. but like I adopted a dog and for the life of me I couldn’t make him like my family. He preferred to sleep outside and hated being pet now matter what. He died the way he lived. Hating everyone of my entire family except for the cat.
The cows, lamas, and chickens will be tied to objects. So you might get some subtle animations. I think those animals will be like the hamsters in the pet stuff pack or like babies. Snowny escapes (mistakes) did break the game for a lot of people, they had to do an emergency patch for that one. The sims4 is a jenga tower waiting to tip over. The sims team never releases a pack that doesn't have glitches and bugs...its so ridiculous at this point, they might as well make it a part of their brand. TS4 was never a well coded game to begin with. So, its not going to get better, but ts4 is pretty and fun to build in.🤷🏽♀️🤣😂😫😭

Trying to play the sims without mods is genuinely such an unbearable experience. The game is so boring with essentially nothing to offer. Honestly why i just stopped playing it. I get more enjoyment watching paint dry on walls.
I literally JUST got my game to start again after removing and singlehandedly adding back my mods to find the bugged one after the last update fuxxed me over. ONLY for the damn game to have another update tonight before I could even play one minute of it because I didn’t pay attention when openinh origin. I can’t with this game. Hey have so many damn updates where they just add more bugs and break my mods. I have payed almost 1k for a game I can’t play. Got eco lifestyle and snowy escape and haven’t played a minute of either because I revamped the lots and then fell into update hell. There is no reason to try and play without mods for me.
I am still mad at them for their continued disrespect, but the bunnies tho. I love rabbits and my inner naturism is rearing her head.😭😭 I want it to be good so bad, but I know the Sims team don't love us enough.

knowing the sims 4 the animals will definitely be objects, like babies. they had to make an entire expansion pack for cats and dogs to have SOME gameplay lol. I highly doubt they will make the animals in this pack interactive when they aren't even the main focus of the pack.
Amanda I have a feeling all those farm animals are objects. There going to be placed like a little barn or building. When you click the building and do an action they'll come out and let you do whatever. When you're done they'll go back inside. Each animal will have 3 animations max 🙄
The thing with horses is we have _no where_ to ride your horse. It would look so out of place for someone to be riding a horse in the middle of San Myschino. So llamas & cows are the best they could give us. And chile imagine the glitchiness that would take place if they gave us horses. I'm dreading this pack

I'm also excited for Cottage Living but I'm scared how much gamplay we are gonna get. Because I know already all Sims 4 packs are visually beautiful, but when it comes to gameplay, we get a few interactions and that's about it. It you are not a builder then you have nothing to do 😐 There's always a Livestream for every pack that comes out, Expansion Packs, Game Packs and Stuff Packs, but those are usually closer to the release of the pack 💚 About the world, The Sims confirmed that the world will come with 3 different neighborhoods, with each neighborhood bringing 4 new lots. And they also confirmed that there is one lot in this world that’s 64×64 😂 I'm excited about groceries!!! You can purchase beef, chicken, and other ingredients from the local shop in town, or order it through the new Grocery Deliver service!!! 😍 I saw a lot of people upset about the kitchen set that is coming with this pack because if you look at the trailer, it looks almost identical as the one we got with The Sims 4 Country Kitchen Kit. Ridiculously identical! 😒 About a new career, The Sims confirmed that we are not getting a new career, but Sims can make a living raising and caring for their animals and new giant produce 🐤
I’ve been playing since sims 1 came out but I’ve become so jaded with the sims 4. I refuse to buy anymore packs for now, unless something changes like the bugs being fixed or something that truly improves their personalities. For now I’ve gone back to sims 2 and 3. Btw for anyone who hasn’t played sims 2, play it or watch gameplay and you’ll see just how flat the sims are now. They were so quirky back then with distinct personalities and consequences to their actions, it’s a really amazing game.
i’m grateful for the british representation. they build the lots using british simmers and have included lots of british cultural dishes. however i rlly wanted some kind of african pack as i feel like the game lacks when it comes to african representation. even if it’s just another egypt style world, something unique like safaris,national parks, west african style huts and large mansions, kente and ankara clothing or talking to simmers and including more traditions and fully fleshed voodoo sorts of gameplay would be so cool
i love sheep, but bias aside, i wish we’d gotten sheep instead of llamas. they do basically the same thing (provide wool), but tbh i think the only reason they included llamas was to have a substitute for horses

Llamas are a semi big part of lore of the sims series in general... so many things are in refrence to llamas idk it kinda makes sense that they finally added llamas into the game
My understanding is that the llamas (they look like alpacas though) are there to protect the cows and chickens since guard alpacas are indeed a real thing used on farms to protect livestock from foxes. Also llamas have been a thing in the sims since at least sims 3 so to me it makes sense
The animals are guaranteed to be tied to their little barns/stables I don't believe they're going to be able to roam around. It's all going to be set dressing I'm completely done with the sims. Sims 5 is never going to be good if it ever comes. It's just proving that more and more the longer ts4 is out

I know the horses were huge in TS3 so I get the disappointment and honestly they are more fitting for the theme but I get why there's llamas. Maybe since they already did horses but they never actually made the game mascot a real animal to interact with (just a mascot costume and merch) they decided to go for that. The reasons for not including horses is dumb to me. First was that it was that they didn’t have enough resources to create horses. An expansion pack would be probably be the only type of pack that could implement horses in game. The second is that horses don’t align with their garden to table experience, which I would rebutted with horse meatballs and horseradish… or you know enhance cottage experience of riding in the field with horses.

Amanda you should do a sims 3 lp or play it privately, i recently became overwhelmed with the sims 4 issues and went back to sims 3. The graphics are a bit of a setback but the nostalgia and open world + story progression and actual lore make it such a fun playthrough 10+ years later :)
with reshade + mods& custom sliders the game can look astounding. just look at Eriu Fe showcases on youtube or users like panosita on tumblr. sims 3 can look beautiful

that game is so much harder too. so fun. it is much more of a grind. for graphics I use reshaders and CC. but like I adopted a dog and for the life of me I couldn’t make him like my family. He preferred to sleep outside and hated being pet now matter what. He died the way he lived. Hating everyone of my entire family except for the cat.

The cows, lamas, and chickens will be tied to objects. So you might get some subtle animations. I think those animals will be like the hamsters in the pet stuff pack or like babies. Snowny escapes (mistakes) did break the game for a lot of people, they had to do an emergency patch for that one. The sims4 is a jenga tower waiting to tip over. The sims team never releases a pack that doesn't have glitches and bugs...its so ridiculous at this point, they might as well make it a part of their brand. TS4 was never a well coded game to begin with. So, its not going to get better, but ts4 is pretty and fun to build in.🤷🏽♀️🤣😂😫😭

Trying to play the sims without mods is genuinely such an unbearable experience. The game is so boring with essentially nothing to offer. Honestly why i just stopped playing it. I get more enjoyment watching paint dry on walls.

I literally JUST got my game to start again after removing and singlehandedly adding back my mods to find the bugged one after the last update fuxxed me over. ONLY for the damn game to have another update tonight before I could even play one minute of it because I didn’t pay attention when openinh origin. I can’t with this game. Hey have so many damn updates where they just add more bugs and break my mods. I have payed almost 1k for a game I can’t play. Got eco lifestyle and snowy escape and haven’t played a minute of either because I revamped the lots and then fell into update hell. There is no reason to try and play without mods for me.
I am still mad at them for their continued disrespect, but the bunnies tho. I love rabbits and my inner naturism is rearing her head.😭😭

At this point expansion packs are just a world, some build buy and cas stuff and random gameplay that you only use a few times.

I'm just confused on how it's enough content for an expansion pack. Most of the animals are tied to objects/are objects. There's no new career and no new skills. They're giving us 13 lots but imo that should be expected with a new world. Where's the value here? I'm sensing island living 2.0 where we get a pretty world and that's kind of it

knowing the sims 4 the animals will definitely be objects, like babies. they had to make an entire expansion pack for cats and dogs to have SOME gameplay lol. I highly doubt they will make the animals in this pack interactive when they aren't even the main focus of the pack.
all i ask for is a generations expansion for sims 4. playing generations in sim 3 is still so fun like it never gets old.

Amanda I have a feeling all those farm animals are objects. There going to be placed like a little barn or building. When you click the building and do an action they'll come out and let you do whatever. When you're done they'll go back inside. Each animal will have 3 animations max 🙄

The thing with horses is we have _no where_ to ride your horse. It would look so out of place for someone to be riding a horse in the middle of San Myschino. So llamas & cows are the best they could give us. And chile imagine the glitchiness that would take place if they gave us horses. I'm dreading this pack

Llamas are an Easter egg to the entire Maxis catalog. The llama pops up everywhere in their games.
I get the llama inclusion just because llamas have been a running thing since at least Sims 2, with the llama university mascot and "imply mother is a llama" insult etc etc.

I'm also excited for Cottage Living but I'm scared how much gamplay we are gonna get. Because I know already all Sims 4 packs are visually beautiful, but when it comes to gameplay, we get a few interactions and that's about it. It you are not a builder then you have nothing to do 😐
There's always a Livestream for every pack that comes out, Expansion Packs, Game Packs and Stuff Packs, but those are usually closer to the release of the pack 💚
About the world, The Sims confirmed that the world will come with 3 different neighborhoods, with each neighborhood bringing 4 new lots. And they also confirmed that there is one lot in this world that’s 64×64 😂

About a new career, The Sims confirmed that we are not getting a new career, but Sims can make a living raising and caring for their animals and new giant produce 🐤
I’ve been playing since sims 1 came out but I’ve become so jaded with the sims 4. I refuse to buy anymore packs for now, unless something changes like the bugs being fixed or something that truly improves their personalities. For now I’ve gone back to sims 2 and 3. Btw for anyone who hasn’t played sims 2, play it or watch gameplay and you’ll see just how flat the sims are now. They were so quirky back then with distinct personalities and consequences to their actions, it’s a really amazing game.
i’m grateful for the british representation. they build the lots using british simmers and have included lots of british cultural dishes. however i rlly wanted some kind of african pack as i feel like the game lacks when it comes to african representation. even if it’s just another egypt style world, something unique like safaris,national parks, west african style huts and large mansions, kente and ankara clothing or talking to simmers and including more traditions and fully fleshed voodoo sorts of gameplay would be so cool

Llamas are a semi big part of lore of the sims series in general... so many things are in refrence to llamas idk it kinda makes sense that they finally added llamas into the game
My understanding is that the llamas (they look like alpacas though) are there to protect the cows and chickens since guard alpacas are indeed a real thing used on farms to protect livestock from foxes. Also llamas have been a thing in the sims since at least sims 3 so to me it makes sense
The animals are guaranteed to be tied to their little barns/stables I don't believe they're going to be able to roam around.
It's all going to be set dressing I'm completely done with the sims. Sims 5 is never going to be good if it ever comes. It's just proving that more and more the longer ts4 is out

Lucky you can go to restaurants. My restaurants are broken. None of the NPCs eat the food only drink and they stand around instead of sitting at the tables.

I mean, the llamas make sense because they have been a recurring theme since TS2 (or maybe The Sims, Idk) tho. It's like the game's mascot. I know the horses were huge in TS3 so I get the disappointment and honestly they are more fitting for the theme but I get why there's llamas. Maybe since they already did horses but they never actually made the game mascot a real animal to interact with (just a mascot costume and merch) they decided to go for that. It would've been nice to have both tho.

They had British game changers and one of the best cc creators build all the in game lots for this one so I have full faith they won’t look like ass. They had restrictions on the amount of items they could use but one build made it into the trailer and it was gorgeous.
