Hi i bought the dragon and i absolutely love it ! i used the finishing powder and it blended the whole shades together and my face looked amazing i definitely advise to try this method its stunning !
I actually don’t own any of the Hourglass palettes and these look stunning on you. I can’t decide between the Dragon and Evil Eye shade profiles.
I don't either. I've wanted to for a long time. I just don't like my face to look like there's glitters on my face. I've never seen them in person though. The 3 or 4 years now I've been wanting but scared I'm gonna hate it.

Interesting so the dark palatte had an extra highlighter, the medium had an extra blush, and the light had an extra finishing powder. I wonder if those were all supposed to be more multi-purpose, or if its just a commentary on how different skin tones tend to apply make-up

These are such beautiful palettes! I love the way you showed how each palette can be made wearable, Michele! Even the finishing powder in the deepest palette can be worn as a bronzer on lighter skin tones, and the deeper shades can also be worn and are quite beautiful on the eyes. I wound up ordering the dragon palette this year, along with the matching brush. I just couldn’t resist, that gold case is so stunning!
Thanks for the review Michele! I have light olive neutral to cool skin and really any of these will work for me in different ways. That deep palette is a perfect summer cheek and eye palette when I use a bit warmer colors, and I can adjust the depth of the brighter and darker colors with the lighter powders in there. It’s stunning! I dont use many powder products which gives me pause for these, but I love these palettes! And I don’t think I can resist. The evil eye palette is my fav every day non summer colors tho. They all look beautiful on you.

Love these! I did not order a holiday collection palette in 2023, and ordered the Dragon palette this year. I love the blush color choices in the palette and the bronzer looks more neutral to cool tone! Can't wait for this to arrive! ❤

Thanks for going through them all and Trying them out as well as swatching. I’m very new to Hourglass makeup; I only have one blush that came in a subscription box some time ago so I think I will purchase two out of the three and enjoy the ride.
Thank you for sampling all the palettes. I have not bought a new face palette from Hourglass in the last two years because I found them repetitive, but I love their quality. I'm not sure how travel friendly these palettes are because the powders seem kind of fragile. Even so, I am going to order the lightest palette. I do love that they have two finishing powders which I would definitely use. BTW, those earrings are so pretty!

Last year I got the butterfly palette which I do not regret, I love it so much even after a whole year of use. All of these, overall, seem warm for me, including the lightest one bc that blush is just going to look orange on me (I'm South Asian w/ a light-medium complexion, sometimes a bit lighter, but a Soft Summer type for reference). That being said, these are definitely for someone so I hope someone finally got their perfect palette ❤ Thank you for the swatches and details

I really like the colors in the dragon palette - they're right up my alley. However, I own the jellyfish palette from last year and I have to say that I don't reach for it very much. Definitely on the fence about purchasing another Hourglass palette.

Edit again. The light palette does have 2 finish powders. The only one that does
Barney’s palette ? Is it kind of the best choice this holiday ? Evil Eye seems a tad dark for my light medium skin while Dragon is a bit too light. Hmm …

My dear , you can use the finishing powder in the palettes to blend the contour/bronzer , blush and the highlighter all together just like a setting spray . It will work like magic ! ❤ILY

I've been wanting an hourglass finishing powder for a while and don't have any (I've had one in my sephora cart for a bit), so this was good timing for me so Dragon is on its way to pasty-mature-faced me. I hope I love it and I was kind of happy it had 2 finishing powders in that one, cuz it was finishing powder I had my eye on. I debated mixing the lotus case with the light palette, but in the end I found I liked the looks of the dragon packaging better (maybe cuz I play dungeons and dragons! LOL)

I did the second palate but in the lotus case.
The holiday palettes from last year all had a bronzer🥲 I have the jellyfish (the lightest one) and I used up almost all of the bronzer shade
Came here to say that. 😉 It was the Butterfly palette from 2022 that didn't have a bronzer.
I have a similar skin tone to you so i was hoping the evil eye palette would work on your skin. I got that one and the dragon palette. Both look lovely on you 😊

Hi Michele, believe it or not, this is my first Hourglass powder/face palette purchase. I am a medium-tan complexion, but considering that we are heading into fall/winter and I’m not one for very pigmented products, I ordered the medium palette in the Dragon case.
The palette is pretty but the colors all look like the older the ones. They just keep changing the covers. I suppose if you're a collector it's fun.
Can you take the studio light off during your demos? I would like to see natural light.
Wow! You look so beautiful and elegant! I bought the light and medium palettes-so excited. The light palette last year does have a bronzer but it has 2 finishing powders, so they used up a spot that could have been blush. Maybe eventually they will let us customize the shades too-but they move slowly based on how many years it took for them to make a deep palette.

i previously bought the elephant and the jellyfish. I'll never stray from the one meant for my skin tone again. the elephant one I use now and again and it's ok but I used up completely three out of 6 shades of the jellyfish (Highlighter, one of the finishing powders and and diffused heat blush) and aside from the bronzer (not the right undertone) I think I'll use up the other two left as well. lesson learned. This year is gonna be dragon or nothing.
Have you try a Barney Exclusive palette? I heard it was the same as Elephant palette. I don’t have Elephant palette. What are your thoughts and which one of the four I should get? 😊
Hi dear Michele, all colours look so pretty on you!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩Being a Christian i already shared my thoughts about the covers of the first 2 palettes here on TH-cam, dont want these covers. So i purchased the beautiful powders/colours of palettes 1 and 2 with the lotus covers, i'll label them, no problem. But if they come with this sort of themes again, i'm done. Also because they support animals, so, a whole variaty of real animals to choose from! The palettes are really the best they made so far, they are most inclusive now, i think, and also how they arranged the colours in the palettes, really beautiful, that's why i did not want to skip, Michele! Is the mauve color from the dragon palette similar to the mood exposure color that was in last year’s jaguar palette?
Mood exposure seems a tad bit deeper
I’m super curious if Mauve Haze blush is similar to Mood Exposure.
I think Mood Exposure is more purple. Mauve Haze has a touch more pink in it.

Which one is your favorite? I have fair skin with neutral to cool undertones, and the only palette I own is the Jellyfish from last year. I feel like it may be too similar to the Dragon this year, so I'm torn between evil eye or lotus (with a very light hand.)

Would you say that the dragon palette leans more cool toned? I'm pale, neutral, leaning cool and most of the make up products just look orange on me. 😔
The peach fushion blush and sunlight strobe light highlighter aren't cool-toned, but I would say the other four powders are.
Michelle, could you use any of those shades for the eyes? With everything so expensive these days, the expense could be justified if you could use these palettes for the whole face. What about a no makeup makeup look with these palettes? My skin is a chameleon. I tan easily so am torn between the dragon and evil eye. Have watched some other videos, some people were not wowed by the evil eye one-plus I don't like the name!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣

I assume that you need comparison with old palette. The key word "you need", there is no need to complain with other ppl, I would suggest to find out yourself if you need comparison. It's not that hard tho:)
I'm disappointed that you are not doing any compering with the old pallets .. feels like you lost interest in make up, but maybe its just my impression

It may not be a loss of interest in makeup she has but more of a sales strategy not to compare. All the blush colors end up looking the same on the face when compared so sales dip for people who have prior ones. But on the pan the colors may look different but not once applied. Last years snake is almost identical to this years Evil eye as well as the Elephant one.
There are all new shades this year other than the finishing powders so less need to compare.
