    Mike, I'm not sure how I got to this session but what a mind blowing experience it has been. Your content, explanation and expansion on each sub-title was awesome and clarified so much for me as a mature-aged student. I am currently completing an assessment for my Diploma and was struggling through the planning of an operational plan and this put alot of sense into my understanding. I also love that you mentioned specific documentation in your jestification as for us newbies I often find it difficult when they say "Make a finacial decision..." and yet never mention what documents you should use to reach that decision. One final point before I go and look at you r other videos, do you have a manuscript of your presentation that we can download and add to our library for future reference. If you haven't thought about that would you consider making it available in future? As an older guy trying to upgrade qualifications to keep up with these smart young people I need to revisit some stuff a number of times to get it through the gray matter :-)

    if i am talking about E-Archiving Project "being part of a project team" what should I tell the interviewer if i am in a job interview ?
    I can't waste their time telling them about project charter or stakeholders and all these details.
    so please let me know what points should I talk about while interview

    • @Onlinepmcourses
      @Onlinepmcourses  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aamer, it's hard to advise you how to answer, because we don't know what the question will be. I have created an article about interview questions for project managers, which will help you prepare. Take a look, at: onlinepmcourses.com/prepare-project-management-interview/
      To prepare, I'd recommend you look carefully about what your experiences have been and what you have learned from them. Be ruthlessly rigorous in your analysis. And don't think that telling them about charters and stakeholders are a waste of time. If that's what they ask about, or if these are essential for answering your question, then use them.
      But mainly, your interviewers want to know two things: what you think, and how you think. For me, the latter is the more important.

    Hi
    But my understanding is scope statement is created first which is used as input for creating WBS.
    BUT HOW COME WBS IS USED TO CREATE SCOPE?? Please clarify

    • @Onlinepmcourses
      @Onlinepmcourses  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi,
      You are right that we start by defining the project (see the companion video: th-cam.com/video/HGkYDw7kxPs/w-d-xo.html) and setting out the scope is a key part of Project Definition.
      However, you also need to refine your scope statement as you learn more. So, you revisit it in the planning stage, to create your final scope statement. This is what the WBS can offer: a complete and fully detailed statement of scope. In the definition stage, it is likely to be a fairly loose set of statements.
      Once you have your WBS, you can use it as the basis for defining sequence, schedule, budget, resource allocation...
      Check-out this video: th-cam.com/video/9G_LwG8ozpo/w-d-xo.html
