This is a great list. I also love the Frisbee rides and the Scream n Swing model. They are the best flat rides at Cedar Fair parks.
I've been riding thrill rides since i was 6-7, and nothing has ever truly scared me more than a Skycoaster. Its the only ride thats had me close to crying, and I love every minute of it. Truly the king of flat rides!!
The German, Dutch, Belgian and French Faircircuit is where the best flat rides exist. The regulations on fairgrounds tend to be less strict Than parks. So traveling flatrides will always be way more intense than their park counterparts
let's just hope that the owners of all the thrill rides on the European Fairs survive the global crisis :( but the french fairs are the best in my eyes... all attractions go faster then in belgium ( where i live)
In Czech we also have pretty decent flat rides on fair usually the largest is Airborne but we need Infinity once
skyscreamers are terrifying, not because of the ride experience, but because you have just a seatbelt and chain thingy holding you in
I agree with that. I find star flyers scarier than slingshots.
At 6:13 you can see my favorite flat ride model right behind Airmax - the Technical Park Pegasus can be very intense, but is also still very comfortable to ride - love this thing!
If you think that Samurai at Lagoon is good, then try the ones in Europe! They have amazing cycles and tbh all the flatrides in Europe are amazing
I ride Insanity at Stratosphere Hotel and the scariest part for me was when I couldn’t unbuckle my restraints and got super scared. The ride wasn’t actually that scary for me.
9:07 the only 2 frisbees by mondial in the CF chain are Psyclone @ CW and Delirium @ KD.
The other frisbees in the chain are by HUSS.

Usually I spend my time at parks riding coasters, but man after I got on Skyhawk at Cedar Point I've become convinced every park on the planet could use an S&S Screamin Swing.
Why Six Flags hasn't installed more of these I'll never know.
San Diego County Fair FTW. I also need to ride a flyer with someone who knows how to snap them. I hear a lot of talking about it but never seen it

I'm so happy flat rides are getting some love!
Windseeker is still the most terrifying to me. Highly recommend at least once. While the other flat rides are usually exciting and have more going on, i feel that the intensity is distracting the whole time. On Windseeker, it's very chill and leaves a lot of time to contemplate all the space between your feet and the ground. An existential thrill where any intensity is more mental than anything physical.

I rode "Skater" on the German Fair "Rheinkirmes" at Düsseldorf, and holy crap, this was a hell of a ride - nonstop with full speed and I even got bruises by the restraints!
Tivoli Gardens in Europe has the greatest flat rides in the world. Vertigo is truly amazing and a top 10 theme park ride ever.

@@coasterhockygamingboy9549 I prefer Steel Vengeance as it gives a slightly bigger adrenaline rush. There are few coasters I think are truly more thrilling.

This is a pretty good list, but one correction:
maxAir and Delirium at KI are HUSS Giant Frisbees, not Mondial Revolutions. Only three Mondial revolutions were made: the other two you mentioned and one at Terra Mítica in Spain
Also I worked at Fun Spot Kissimmee last year and got to operate its Screamin Swing, Mine Blower, and a couple other rides. Their Skycoaster is incredible and I can see it from my apartment

I have bungee jumped but haven't had the balls to do a sky coaster
4:53 I have ridden one of these at a funfair in germany
The operator was on fire and ended the ride with 15 inversions back to back
The one in germany was also way more aggressive than the pov of the one you showed.
It gave insane whip and sometimes you would think that you would crash straight into the ground
My favorite flat rides are definetly Breakdance, Magic and Round Up, since I can't really handle heights and being upside down 😅 Oh, and Music Express, also really chill! ☺️ Breakdance and Music Express are a staple on german funfairs xD

I have rode Flyer @ Knoebels multiple times. I've been working on getting better at snapping, but also have to be careful on the operators certain ones get mad at snapping.
U really need to visit the big European Fairs.... and do rides like Inversion XXl, toxic, reactor and more ^^ would love to talk about the rides i saw in this clip, got facebook?

As someone who goes to Knoebels on roughly a yearly basis...
Yeah, their Flyer is beyond intense. I have never seen the car of a Flyer... Bounce before. You get jerked around so much that when you are in the air, the carts will bounce. These bounces cause leeway on the cables, making it so you don't swoop down, but actually fall for a second before starting to swoop. This ride usually has a 2-3 ride wait any time of the day for a good reason.
My top favorite was MaxAir at Cedar Point what an awesome amazing fun ride for sure good times
I'm going to Astoria sometime next year. I'll have to check out that first honorable mention
Knoebles is my favorite flat ride park, bumper cars, flyer, cosmotron, etc.
i know that this might sound weak, but my all time fave is a good old fashioned Zipper!!
My favorite flat ride is actually an Intamin Gyroswing. Loke at Liseberg, Sweden is an amazing Gyroswing with lap-bars.
9:06 maxair and the other frisbees at other cedar fair parks are huss frisbees I think
Crazanity really scared me I only did it once. It’s so much bigger than the Huss frisbees.
The Park at OWA has a really good collection of flat rides. It's a cool little park that also has a pretty good coaster in Rollin' Thunder. Definitely worth checking out if you get the chance.
If you like sky coasters, check out the one at Royal Gorge in Colorado. Yes, the one in Kissimmee is taller, but the scenery at this one is so much better
I was about to mention the world's largest skycoaster here in Orlando right before you mentioned it. Won't see me on it though. No siree.
I've ridden Magnum at the MN State Fair (sadly, not recently ... and I've never seen it at the Meadowlands State Fair). Probably my favorite of all time flatride; that ride is just insane.
Also at the MN State Fair (but one I *have* ridden at the Meadowlands): the Space Roller (a Top Scan). Really love that ride, too.
Also also, I love the Flipper (dubbed "Tornado" at my local carnival at St. Michaels). Just some crazy-good spinning.
Finally, a tip of the cap to the granddaddy of flatrides: the Chance Zipper. IMO, a carnival without a Zipper is not truly a carnival!
I have always loved Gravitron rides since I was a kid. I don’t know why but there is a novelty about spinning around inside of a spacecraft and being stuck to the wall while lights flash and music blares. Plus the mats that you stand against slide upward and take you up with them. It’s especially fun if you ride one with a chill operator who will let you lay sideways and hang upside down on the wall (though that’s generally prohibited anymore).
The best Screamin Swing I have ever ridden is the Giant Canyon Swing at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. It swings you out over the cliff, suspending you 1,400 feet above the Colorado River. Afraid of heights? You might want to sit this one out if so.

Max air and Delirium at Kings Island are Huss frisbees.
Chaos at Waldameer is seriously amazing and exceeded my expectations. I greyed out at the bottom and the hang time is some of the best in the world.
Also wipeout at Knoebels is INSANE. It is ridiculously fast the entire ride, and the sustained laterals physically drained me. The ride op had the cycle for almost 5 minutes. I was so dizzy that I couldn't find the exit after the ride was over.
I had a really good ride on skyhawk where I asked the ride op for room on my lapbar, and he allowed it. Got some amazing airtime
MaxAir is actually a Huss Giant Frisbee, as is Delirium at Kings Island. Delirium at Kings Dominion and Psyclone at Canada's Wonderland are Mondial Revolutions.
That sky coaster is terrifying
My favorite flat ride is the classic Star Flyer. I love the views from the top and the adrenaline one gets from going around and around is very exciting. More parks like Wild Adventures, Magic Springs, Dorney Park, Hersheypark, Knoebels, Kennywood, Waldameer, Michigan's Adventure, Alabama Adventure, Frontier City, Great Escape, Six Flags Great America, Silverwood and Lagoon should get one of those.
My favorite flat rides are the Mack Calypso's and one of the only Fahtz's enterprise at SFDL.
No , there is a sledgehammer in europe also but it is mostly doen for repairs ( tripsdrill i think ? )
if you are looking for a real thrill i suggest you do bungee jumping. i ride the one on canada called great canadian bungee and it was incredible the feeling of falling was one of the best feelings ever i suggest you try it out. if youre expecting the feeling of a skycoaster its nowhere near as close to that its a whole different experience
9:38 is that ride really running that slow or is there something with the video? If yes then the ones here in Germany run crazy fast like almost dubble as fast as that looks.
Great list ! I was wondering if you liked the pirate swinging ship rides like at KI by the lake. I like them.
They’re okay! Some are better than others but the model collectively wasn’t enough to crack the top 15

What about Talocan, its easily way more intense and fun to ride, most of the times you have elements where you get spinned 4-5 times in a row about 3 times on the ride and have cool water and fire combined with amazing theming, this is easily my favourite flat ride but great list overall :)

i went on the slingshot and it wasnt bad for me when i was on it but i am terrified of the windseeker rides even though it looks way less scary than a slingshot

I feel like if you got the rides I got on Insanity 360 it would be higher. so what happened was about 1/2 through the cycle the cars were unlocked and they began to flip independently which gave insane gs and weird sensations. it is prob in my top 3 best flat rides I've ridden.
Playland At The PNE has a sky coaster too it’s called Drop Zone it’s scary!

The Frisbees at Cedar Point and Kings Island are both made by Huss.
I will always miss hammerhead at Knott's even though riptide was a decent replacement

The only Skycoaster I enjoy is the one at Fun Spot in Kissimmee I don’t like the one at Great Adventure I rode both I did the sky sled version at the one in Kissimmee

Fun fact, in the Netherlands we also have Flyers at fairs, but different. Riders push themselves of the ground backwards to swing outwards, but the most crazy part is that there are usually 1-3 people in the middle, grabbing the seats and swinging them inwards/backwards and you really go soaring!
