African Chamber Music: Zimbabwean & Ghanaian Traditions Reimagined With Strings

The aim of this project is to change perceptions about how African traditional music can be presented and perceived, with a secondary aim of decolonizing the string quartet and all that it represents.

The song is a cry to the Gods (Rondiremera sango the chorus meaning the jungle is becoming burdensome and scary to walk) the jungle refers to someone trying to make ends meet in a far away land.
