If you love the fragrance as much as I do, you can buy Roger & Gallet's "Tubereuse Hedonie". Hands down, my favorite perfume and it is very natural and authentic to the flower's perfume.
They are called Rajani Gandha (night smelling flower) in India, and I grew up with it. Just planted some bulb from Amazon. Should grow fine in Houston, but we shall see
I just reached out to my local UMD Extension Master Gardener Representative. I hope she gets back to me as I would like to take this program! Looks fun, top-notch. I love your descriptions and information.
I planted mine on May 31 and am now getting flowers. However, they have no scent whatsoever! I've put my nose into the flowers and inhaled deeply, but no scent. What a disappointment. Anyone have any ideas why this is?
Last year I dig the bulbs from the container, wrapped them in tissue paper or old newspaper ads and put them in a cardboard box. I poke some holes in the box for air and store them in my basement. In the springtime I put them back on the potting soil container and now they are growing and ready to bloom soon. I believe you can bring the container indoor if you rather not dig out the bulbs.
You're literally wrong... It's a species of agave, which are native to the Americas. Maybe humans introduced it to India a long time ago, but it definitely came from Mexico originally.

Armani Privé Rouge Malachite is an incredible tuberose scent. The classiest, most elegant yet understatedly sensual scent. Brought me here.

I remember those as childhood memories. Miss them. I will also order them via amazon and hopefully have them as an indoor plant here in PA.
Basically it grows well in a lot of tropical climates.
Thank you naruto for the review
This flower seems perfect for the hot and dry conditions I have
I usually pick a few flowers and let it float in a nice decorative bowl with water. It made the house smell amazing.
