His skill and talent are indeed unreal. There are a ton of different sections and layers yet it doesn't sound overcrowded at all. The arrangement is just pure creative magic on the loose! If you're interested in his music production, he recently did a lengthy interview with tape notes, showing some of his works in Ableton from the latest album. A very insightful interview.
What a tune. It’s been playing in my head forever I’m glad I finally remembered what it’s called and found it. Amen ! 😍😍 someone take me Back to 2009-2011 music wise please
I always loved “Pink.” I remember hearing it around the same time I first heard the “Street Halo” EP by Burial. “Pink” was my favorite Four Tet till “Sixteen Oceans” and “Parallel” came out.
People who complain about the price of Spotify don’t calculate in the value of discovering songs like this in their weekly curated playlists. Such a dope track and new fan ✌🏼
Great soundscape, progressions, subtle and seamless changes, addition and deletion of sounds, well produced and brilliantly mixed. My only dislike is the sharp, digital sounding snare timbre that's prominent throughout the mix. With such great, subtle tone everywhere else, this tends to stand out in a less pleasing way to my ears. Just my opinion, not really a criticism, as many may like that sound. Overall, fantastic piece.
Yooooo who listening to this shit in 2023??????
Those with a soul 😊
My ears will ALWAYS thirst for this!!! No matter what year it is! Bring on 2024!!!
Still Real
2024
lol 2036 bro

The way this song is mixed is just out of this world

Surprisingly, both Burial's Street Halo and Four Tet's Locked are both in his own FabricLive mix.
Paralell Jallebi is PERFECTION
@@JasonBoon02 I love that mix. The burial/kode 9 fabic live is amazing too.
This just unlocks all the good vibes inside of me 🧚♀️
But they're locked tho
Damn cool. This track is so naturally good. Looks so cinematographic. Can ear a narrative on the flow. Four tet is a blessed one. Thanks
This tune is the best example of underrated (or at least underappreciated) greatness that I know.

excuse me sir, this is a youtube
Yes, Spotify, Apple Music etc gives a lot of unknown artists and songs that you don’t know
I put this song onto my 7 year old cousins head with my nice headset.... Literally could see her mind expanding
Very VERY clever grooves that become percussive soundscapes. Reminds me of Darren Emerson's or Leftfield's way of building tracks that were epic.
I love this song
@Fourtet This is a Masterpiece! 💚
Still in 2024 and Beyond!
魂を感じます。Good
My gf using quintet as a word on scrabble brought me back to this . Love this song :)

Can’t believe this record’s almost ten years old.
Does anyone know where the sample at 1:55 comes from? I've definetely heard it before.
one of the greatest songs of all-time, no question
I so agree! The way he adds more and more layers to it... what a clever m.f.er!
Does anyone know other songs that has a similar drum groove feel?
