So...*theoretically*, I should be stumping for EVS, because our cover artist for Heroineburgh Comics is also the current colorist for Fearsome, as well as the colorist for Shane's Inglorious Rex. I should also not be not that enthused about Eric, because I have not as yet backed his books, choosing to wait until the Yaira book was ready instead, because I prefer to back titles which foreground classically attractive superheroines (like our own book does). But, to be honest, watching this panel gave me a lot of hope. Not just because of the positive words of Mike Baron (I own Private American, having purchased it at Hershey Con from Richard Bonk himself) and the Soskas, but because seeing this panel gives me inspiration that a new generation of indie comics (including our own) can succeed outside the suffocating ideological strictures of the mainstream companies. So, whether it's Eric July, Chuck Dixon, Graham Nolan, Jen & Sylvia, Renie, Mandy, Billy Tucci, EVS, Shane, Jon Malin, Richard Meyer, Cara Nicole, X53, JDA, Fourth Age, Razorfist, Shadiversity, Don Chin, Jeff Hicks, Pete Simeti, Clint Hilinski, Bill Maus, Joe Catapano, Joe Sonntag, Mark Poulton, or anyone else (I can keep going for a while), it's just a pleasure to see everyone succeeding so well in the new Iron Age. Should do some research before commenting, most indies are 25-30 bucks for 50-80 pages. Rippaverse's comics are 100 pages, the price makes perfect sense overall

I praised Eric July on multiple occasions for taking good steps and attempting to do the good things we need to replace the old with the new. Till he changed.. Started Moving Differently.. Till he faced real criticism.. I do not and never have or will hate Eric July. He is a bitter disappointment and a lesson in what happens when you fail to be consistent, when you are exposed as a Hype man with very little substance.
