I would love to see Travis break out more laterals next season. It would add a whole new dimension and level of excitement to games. As an Australian who grew up watching AFL, Rugby League etc., I've never understood the hesitation around throwing a lateral in the NFL, if the risk of interception is low and another team member is wide open.

Taking a former head coach that really does know the game onto the Chiefs staff is a plus. Everyone knows Gruden screwed up, but people do deserve 2nd chances and Reid is all about giving people another chance.

I don't think Smith's extension would come down to Thuney being cut or not. Veach can give Creed and Smith extremely small cap hits in 2025: Chris Jones has a $7 million hit next year on a $155 million contract. It comes down to how much Smith asks for, because he will not play for $17-20 million a year.
Gruden may add some energy to the offense, but I don’t think we’ll see anything that new or innovative… however, one play at the right time JUST might make a difference!
I know very little about football, but keeping the most penalized player on the O-line (J Taylor) to the tune of 20m per year does not seem like a smart move to me. Especially when other players like C Humphreys and Nick Bolton have contributed more. Very glad Butker got paid ;)

I would think the penalties will be less this year & he will be more comfortable in the Chiefs system😉 Now that Jason Kelce has retired, Creed is the Premier Center in the NFL, but the Chiefs have a history of letting good centers walk. I hope that changes. A lot will depend on the players themselves & how much THEY demand. They can't pay everybody & drafted insurance pieces if Creed & Trey want a lot more than Chiefs are willing to pay. Same with Bolton. We will see 🤷🏻♂️
