I don't understand what is seriously wrong with Wendy Doniger. Why has she become so venomous? Her book "The Hindus" was never banned in India. The objections to her book were all about factual errors in the book. She refused to correct them as that would have exposed her in the academia. In order to protect her image, she painted her critics as right-wing extremists. People have published papers exposing her with solid scholarly works. Wendy is also not banned in visiting India but she has developed a trick to save herself from her critics by continuously ranting about her physical security in danger. She has made multiple references to Narendra Modi and his policy towards textbooks, science conferences, etc. If anyone will try to find out, they all will reach a conclusion that these apocalyptic stories hold no ground. Wendy's business is down. She is no longer the "Queen of Indology". She has been exposed in academia. Her students have abandoned her. She has accepted that fact here in this video itself as no other student is as critical of Hinduism as she is and no longer carrying out her works but again she painted as if it is all due to their physical security in danger. I dare you, Wendy, come to India's literature festivals and face the authentic indologists. Will you?
Thank you very much for posting this. I am learning more about India and Pakistan everyday, yet I am still an infant learning to crawl compared to these scholars. I am trying very hard now to verify everything I see and hear with at least three academic sources. It is incredibly difficult for an old dog like me. But I think I am learning.
