Types of Volcanoes: Stratovolcanoes

Stratovolcanoes (also called composite volcanoes) have steep slopes and often a nice conical shape. Their eruption can be explosive and very dangerous.

Vesuvius was a cinder cone type of stratovolcano and in A.D. 79 plineyian eruption occurred

Mt. Shasta is stratovolcano like mt. St. helens mt. Lassen
