You can hear Quincy's influence in every note. One of the greatest producers EVER. Jonah's vocals are absolutely insane. Insane. No other word will suffice. Richard Bona is a savant, no matter what instrument he plays This is just off the chain. Only 1.2M views...what the hell is wrong with the world
People are born with different sizes and shapes for larynxes, vocal chords, physiology etc. But the earliest clip I saw of Jonah singing was on Swedish Idol auditioning and I still thought he sounded awesome at that point. But yes, work/practice are absolute pre-requisites regardless.
Jonah you gave me back my faith in younger generations 😀😀😀 Your music is of very-very high quality and inspirational for others to do their best. Kudos!
Holy crap..this is like a delightful mental shower of wonderful thrills, energy, creativity, positivity, rhythm, melody, syncopation and every other aspect of modern music, all put together into a transcendent whole that is so utterly at odds with almost everything else on TV....brilliant....where do I sign?
Oh man! Oldschool groove meets modern producing! Amazing musicians (bass throws me out of this world), great material to glue them together and a feeling of love for music is the thoughts this track leaves me with! GREAT!
any1 here for the dirty loops and lucas collab thats coming up should see the live stage that happened back in june (search up this song w/ lucas and youll find it) its truly a joy to see him on stage that happy.
Absolutely incredible. You're nothing short of brilliant Jonah. In addition to which the arrangements and the first class musicians make this track slammin.
I have no words to describe how awesome this is.. damn.. but I kinda want to hear Henrik and Richard jam up together with their mad skills.. and now I want coffee... :)
A new genre is born, Jazzfusionpopfunk. I love it! I've heard this track som many times. It's something new and super cool. And not alfraid to use exciting chord progressions. Nice detail with the glasses.
I disagree! Though this definitely isn't an easy piece of music, I would have to say Stevie is the ultimate king of complex pop music. Check out "Overjoyed", you'll be blown away by all the juicy modal interchanges ;-)
@@milestonedmusic There's obviously an enormous influence of Stevie's music in Jonah Nillson's writing and singing, but the modal interchanges on this song are far more complex than Overjoyed, I'm not necessarily saying that it's better to be complex.. I still prefer "Overjoyed" (and all and any of Stevie's work). But I love this, it's like Stevie Wonder on speed.
JONAH DARLIN!!! YOU GREW UP TRAINING WITH STEVIE WONDER DIDNTCHA!!!??? CUZ YOU GOT HIM IN YOUR PHENOMENAL VOICE!!! and I'm so glad you brought him along with your incredible music!!! YOU ARE THE SUM TOTAL OF EVERY ONE YOU'VE EVER MET!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING JONAH!!! I'M OLD YOU'RE NOT... BUT YOU HAVE YOUR WHOLE MUSICAL 🎶 LIFE AHEAD OF YOU AND I WISH FOR YOU THE GREATEST LIFE EVER!!! DON'T LET ANYONE BRING YOU DOWN BABY... CUZ YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES!!! GOD BE WITH YOU!!!
While constructive criticism is always good, there's a whole bunch of people in these comments dismissing this cause it's not Dirty Loops. As much as I loved the stuff DL came out with, obviously it hasn't worked out and Jonah is trying to take his music in a new direction while still retaining a similar style, and even if it "isn't the same", it's not really helpful to whine about it not being Dirty Loops. For what it's worth Jonah, I really enjoyed this, and I hope others can come to do the same without it being attached to the name everyone seems to long for so desparately. ❤
so great...!!!! I love your music....you have also one of my favourite bassist in the world R.Bona & Andres oberg great guitarist ...I hope you come in Greece some day..!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice, it's like early Michael Jackson! Dirty Loops was very original, but this has infinite replay value! The whole jazz fusion pop thing is music theory fan service, but it's a novelty. This is music you can groove to. Keep going man!
altrogeruvah I'd argue that Dirty Loops also has infinite replay value by virtue of the fact that their music is so harmonically complex. Are you saying you can't groove to Dirty Loops' "music theory fan service" music? Just because music that is immensely more complicated than the average mindless pop tune, doesn't make it simply a shallow novelty that appeals only to musicians well-versed in theory. Dirty Loops' stuff grooves just as hard as Coffee Break. I love this tune, however some could say (perhaps rightly) that it sounds like a jingle for Maxwell House or something.
This is such a tremendous song! The fact this hasn't melted either TH-cam or the more mainstream media is kind of an indictment of how un-curious the majority of pop music listeners are. Sad cause they are missing out on some amazing music.
Can’t get enough of this…. so cool, groovy, funky and tight as hell, and yet, they all make it look like sheer fun 😎 Thanks for the happiness, Jonah and everyone else involved in this masterpiece 🔥🙏🔥
It's amazing!! We were at the concert in Prag! I can not describe in words what a phenomenal music you do! You opened a new century of music history! Congratulations!!

Some Michael Jackson feeling here :) Very cool to ear new things from you Jonah, you're one of my references I hope you good things with this new album
Rest in peace, Patrik Eriksson, trumpet player in this clipp. A wonderful human being and musician gone to soon.
@Shelley G. cerebral haemorrhage
I believe. Its a devestating loss of a friend and human being.

It is absolutely disgusting how talented you are. I absolutely love this.
James Cook he was not extremely good before!! He just become one of the best by working like nobody! 😀
It wouldn't matter how hard I worked...I'd still never get vocal chops like that. :P
People are born with different sizes and shapes for larynxes, vocal chords, physiology etc. But the earliest clip I saw of Jonah singing was on Swedish Idol auditioning and I still thought he sounded awesome at that point. But yes, work/practice are absolute pre-requisites regardless.
Absolutely, agreed. Besides his vocal ability he is a phenomenal musician/composer/keyboardist.
@@jcookonbass I totally agree with you!
SM STATION 3 BROUGHT ME HERE WHY HAVENT I SEEN THIS OML
You should follow Jonah and his band Dirty Loops and get "Loopefied" !!! Good luck!
Working hard and putting music out and everyone is instantly complaining it isn't another band. Good job everyone.

Very funky indeed! I love the production!

I tried to hit the note at 2:39, and literally hurt myself. This guys is a BEAST!!
haha 🤣 but yeah, insane vocals 🔥
Dirty loops for more of this

Really cool tune, so groovy and at the same time very jazzy and full of harmonies... I like it!
Absolutely incredible. You're nothing short of brilliant Jonah. In addition to which the arrangements and the first class musicians make this track slammin.
Must have been torture to live in a world where you had to wait in front of a radio set to hear that again. Instant replay!

This is a pop song with the most music theory ever included.😂😂😂

in fact its not pop music but acid jazz 😉
