@ 64 and 30 years on the spanners behind me I can categorically confirm it's far easier breaking 'em than it is fixing' 'em. As you pointed out work is work and was never designed to be easy.
I’m in the middle of doing my HGV class 1 I’m an HGV technician looking to get out of the trade , HGV technicians pay is very good in my area up to £30+hr ! But for a very good reason there is a shortage of engineers so workload is unreasonable

I did it and still driving after 6 years so sold my gear. Know some lads who have gone back to spanners. Just give it a try, can always go back. 👍🚛
depends on how much you need the money you will get more on the spanners but you have to think of your health as well
