On youtube, Israeli scholars of the Dead Sea Scrolls said there are writings on why God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac. Question. How could the rest of the world be held accountable for sacrificing people only after the binding of Issac? Even if Hashem was teaching us a lesson there is no way say Chine knew that it was bad. Issac could not have passed the lesson to all 4 corners of the world... Something is not making sense.
“Their” world, in my opinion. Murder was always wrong, but now the nations will be judged instead of God winking at their ignorance. Just my opinion, however. Love to know what Mr. Friedman would say.
Everyone mistreats Isaac: Abraham, God, Rebekah, the Philistines, and Jacob. Even the text of the Torah itself mistreats Isaac by not giving him that much page time (Isaac has two chapters about him compared to Abraham/Jacob/Joseph having 10 chapters be about them).
oh really??? quran refered people of israel(issac), alot, but takes away the previously known sacrifice story which was assiciated in old scriptures in torah to ishmael. ...
Torah Chesed will rectify this. Isaac will be the hero in this Surah. Unfortunately, it was given to the son of Kitura, not the son of Sarah, not directly. He is still the hero though. Mashaallah. The will of HaShem. Not my own.
10:29 Values of Abraham in times of sacrifice of Isaac ware the same what ware other people. Therefore for Abraham and Isaac the process of sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham wasn't dramatic.
Isus je bio odan i samo je kazao : Bože neka bude volja tvoja kako ti hoćeš, veran i odan do krsta na Golgoti i nije znao, bio je u neizvesnosti i nije nigde nije zgrešio i održao je Zakon. Hvala Isusu.
Actually, Avram\Avraham's work throughout the region was famously spreading Monotheism. From early on, he brought close the men and Sarai\Sarah brought the women under the canopy of the One God. Avraham's business card read; "Do NOT perform human sacrifice!" It was obviously known to him from the very beginning this is NOT what God desires! There Paganistic that is more disdainful than human sacrifice. The thought that Avraraham ever believed it was anything but detestable is unthinkable! The test of Avraham was this: to see if the philosophy he was spreading for all those years was his own or was it God's? If Avraham would sacrifice his son he'd be going against everything he stood for, he would be seen as the world's biggest hypocrite and his life's work we be for naught. If Avraham would follow God's command, it would demonstrate his ultimate conviction to God's word because he would do the act he urged others not to do, BECAUSE GOD TOLD him to do so! This would clearly demonstrate that Avraham was not espousing his own philosophy but God's. This test would show without a doubt if Avraham was selling his own religion or God's. By going against the ethics he espoused and was known for; he showed his only desire was to fulfill the will of God...no matter what it was.
Itzhak trusted his father as Avraham trusted HaShem 😊🙏 and remember Avraham told his men, “stay here with the donkey while we go up...WE will be back.. my parsha last Rosh Hashana 😊 Thank you, Rabbi Friedman. B”H 🙏😊

Gd want us to learn that if you have faith no matter how hard you fall. Gd will always watch for us and lift up His children. Thanks to Holy spirit.
@@TheMogules Yes, the truth of existence cannot be changed by anyone so you can only refuse to believe the truth.
Again Rabbi, what do the words Make Israel One. The words that God spoke to my right ear. What would you interpret that to mean.
For witness
I am a Christian considering conversion to Judaism , mostly because of your teachings. Quite honestly I have always been bothered by this story as well as Jephthah's Daughter. I can't understand how an omniscient benevolent God would put father and son in such a position. I will read all the comments below and study more. Thanks
Rabi, where is the link.
Not my own.

Abraham was totally obedient to the God. Therefore he had no difficulty to do things which could do only not good people.

Values of Abraham in times of sacrifice of Isaac ware the same what ware other people. Therefore for Abraham and Isaac the process of sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham wasn't dramatic.
I heard torah in that god him self told to sacrifice their first child first born child of their cattle too is it true or isn't
Isus je bio odan i samo je kazao : Bože neka bude volja tvoja kako ti hoćeš, veran i odan do krsta na Golgoti i nije znao, bio je u neizvesnosti i nije nigde nije zgrešio i održao je Zakon. Hvala Isusu.
God knew all along what Abraham would do, however God probably wanted him to know that God knows
And was watching.
Itzhak trusted his father as Avraham trusted HaShem 😊🙏 and remember Avraham told his men, “stay here with the donkey while we go up...WE will be back.. my parsha last Rosh Hashana 😊
Thank you, Rabbi Friedman. B”H 🙏😊
Hi there;
God is God He don't need to test no one He just is God sees past future and things that we can't answer and event understand. The plain truth in this beautiful history; God wanted just mark the moment in history and the greatness of the man for generations to come!!! For prouf after that God changes is name. In Torah is written God wanted test Abram but is not the point. I don't want offend anyone or be arrogant but knowing myself is like this answer didn't came from me. God bless you all.
Praise be to God. Thank you Rabbi. I see the holocaust, as one of the people of Noah in the same way. Never again. Thank you teacher.
