    Loving your reviews! I'm debating whether to get the r2 with a 3060 but with a higher TDP and newer CPU, or the r1 with a 3070 with a lower TDP and older CPU. Do you think they perform similar to each other? Which one should I get?

    • @RyanYu
      @RyanYu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will get the R2 still. The 12th gen cpu is very powerful.

    • @heat2277
      @heat2277 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which ever is cheaper tbh, the 3070 in the older r1 is still running at a wild wattage and will still slap the 3060. If it's gpu grunt you're after, the older model will do just fine though CPU wise, you're probably looking at like 10-15% better on the new gen =)

    Thank you very much with this review! Indeed with most reviewers usually only reviewing the highest specs, it makes one too afraid to buy anything with lower specs than that.
    I had a request though, can you please do the same kind of thing with the base model of x14 (around 1500$ now) and maybe x15 R2 (around 2150$ now) too? Especially x14 if it can handle AAA titles at a reasonable level (40+ fps in highest settings), then I'd assume it a very good deal.
    Another thing that I think you missed in this review and I'd hope that you include it in the next possible ones, is how would thermals and fan noises be like if you use the balance mode instead of performance (from what I hear the performance mod increases fan noise and thermals by a lot for not too much gain in fps) and if you manually limit the fps to say 60fps.

    • @RyanYu
