Swapped my filters last week and sweet baby Jesus, there were so many pine needles and so much dirt and dust. It was absolutely disgusting. Van warms up so much faster now and the airflow is much more apparent and strong. Thank you so much for this.
Thank you so much, this is not the first time I've used your videos for help. Each time that I've watched your videos it was helpful. Thanks again Donald"Dr.Don"Watkins MSgt USAF Ret
Replacing the cabin air filter on the more newer Honda's are very easy. Just unhook the glove box and lower it, remove the plastic cover or pull out the plastic tray(depending on the Honda model) that's behind the glovebox, remove the old filter, and install the new filter with the arrow facing down.
Thank you ... great video. I did not get a real clear look at or understanding of the plastic piece that has to be removed? Was it already done in the example here?
Great video! Thanks! I am going to check if that secondary filter comes out (as someone commented below) when I replace mine in a couple of minutes. I will try to let you know the results. Thanks!
+MasterP Xyooj Thanks for checking us out. That filter is not removable. You should be just fine replacing only the filter shown in the video! 1aauto.com

As a Honda technician, I can tell you that the Odyssey in the video and the 03-08 Pilot which shares the same filter as the 99-04 Odyssey only has one filter. The grid that you may have saw is part of the heater box and it's not removable unless you take apart the actual heater box itself. Some Honda model did have two filters though. That will be the 98-02 Accord, 02-05 Civic, 02-06 CR-V, and the 03-11 Element.
Great Video. But ridiculous design of Honda. Fucking honda made it so complicated that you will say good bye and take it to the dealer to change cabin filter, that's what they want. Air filter is very simple and easy. That's how it should be.

Thank you! I watched your video and just changed my Honda Odyssey 2003 myself today.
Quick tip: unscrew the bottom of the glovebox first, and then you should be able to just pull the whole thing out without unclipping the knobs.

4:40 People keep saying there's another filter? Isn't that the heater core? Do you guys have a video on the heater core?
👍👍👍
Aren't there 2 cabin air filters on this vehicle? Pause the vid at 4:47 and see the second one in the box there
It does look like there's another one hiding out in there. You could see if it comes out.

That design flaw is a huge L for Honda. Makes them look like newbies
