    Hint for you... Put the hotshot dogbones in the front and it solves the binding issue 👍

      Yes this is right - I did it with mine

      Yep me too 😊 I think its a bit wierd that this is a common problem with an easy fix but Tamiya haven't changed the dog bones in the kit🤔

    A resistor cover is a must for the re-re boomerang. Fills on that gap between the body and the wing.

    Great tip heating up screw pins! So many cracked suspension arms back in the day on my Boomerang and Bigwig.

      Agree! I’ve replaced many! But fit this tip definitely helps

    I had the same sticky front shock feeling like the rebound was just not there! I did not think to try and swap the o-rings, I will have to give that a try! It is a terrific looking buggy and they drive great. Have fun with it and I am looking forward to seeing what you have coming up for this year!

    Some great tips the Boomerang is hard to get here in Malaysia when I go hone to Australia next time I will pick one up. In about to get a Hornet and give it the ali chassis and mod it up and give it a good bashing. I'm more of a nitro guy but starting to enjoy the electric buggies as I get older.

    Great build , do you keep the boxes as these tamiyas are highly collectible

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA

      Yes, storage full of boxes! They take up a lot of room!

    Very helpful tips! You can use hotshot dogbones in the front. They are 1mm shorter than the stock ones.

  • @rcalltypes8230

    I think the rear drive shafts, are longer than the front. Great looking buggy 👍🏻

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA

      I initially thought I had them mixed up. But all 4 are the same length and same part number. On the hot shot cars they are longer on the rears.

      @@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Strange what’s happening then, hope you find a solution 👍🏻

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA

      @rcalltypes8230 it’s a common issue with this family of cars. But I think once used a few times things wear and break in a little.

    Love this car! But would you pick this or a 2wd for parking lot driving? What is hard to roll over on pavement 2wd or 4wd? Thank you!

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA

      It’s a great Buggy, personally either 2wd or 4wd is fine. A 2wd with good tyres and a nice motor combo would be a great set up. Traction would be king with a 4wd

    • @thunderbomb515

      @@RCACTIONAUSTRALIA Thank you for the quick response! So the 4wd Boomerang would have less of a chance rolling over in turns on pavement compared to 2wd. If yes, I am going to order the Boomerang now.

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA

      @thunderbomb515 I think you would have a low chance of rolling a 2wd or 4wd on pavement. More on grass if it digs in on the turns

    I think Thundershot universal shafts were used back in the day, though I never had any for my Bomerange.

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA

      Yeah I believe the Thunder shot and Top force are 68mm length and are better suited

  • @schuttrostig5729

    I found the front stabilizer quite ineffective on mine, probably should swap it to the hotshot stabilizer. Also on all my hotshot/boomerang style kits i had trouble with the left side of the the rear gearbox, the bearing hole for the diff seems to be to small. And i think the springs are to soft as well, but adding the spacers will not make the springs harder but only shift the running poistion. For stiffer springs would need some springs with higher springrate, and i am not sure which tamiya springs are best to use there.

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA

      Yes the front sway bar is pointless. Everything aside it actually drives very nice and is nicely suited to the stock 540 with a 2s Lipo. Not fast but definitely nostalgic fun

      The front bar holds the shell in place

    Nice cars but it loooks like the same old brittle plastic that cracks or snaps

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA

      Yes nothing much changed design wise. But they do change plastics on some kits
