This seems like a great audiobook, but is anyone else thinking it sounds like it's being narrated by a computer?! That would explain the dodgy pronunciation... Plus if you listen you can practically hear the clipping between each line. The only reason I scanned the comments was to see if anyone thought similar but no one did from what I've seen..... I hope I'm right, but if not then huge apologies to the narrator!!!!!!!

The "voice" doesn't even pronounce the title properly. It's HAAGAAKUREÉ! pronounce the "e" in the end and roll that "r". Computer voice turns me off. It's an insult to such a fine piece of Japanese literature!
there are other non-japanese authors of similar books on human nature who are equally difficult to understand, but just as rewarding when you put the time and effort into it. such as plato, aristotle, descartes, augustine, spinoza, hegel, kant, schopenhauer, nietzche, heidegger, husserl, scheler, jung, whitehead, etc...
Why should I waste my time listening to someone who cannot pronounce the title correctly? What manner and depth of understanding can one have of a work such as this if the reader is incapable of grasping a mere title? Get someone who speaks both Japanese and English to read this work. Then, and only then will a beginning be made.
