I think he is good to his animals but they appear to live in small environments, caged and not in a semi-realistic setting for them to have some space. The Asian place has the cats living in cement and steel, small cage environments. At least the Tigers there allowed the handler to actually help them birth their cubs so there is an apparent trust factor in that case but the overall conditions are still that of cement and steel. The guy is Russia seems like he loves his cats but his is a throwback to Tigers living in cages year round and trained and used solely for commercial purposes. The one used during performances looks like the training stick which can be painful to the animals and therefore scares them into submission. This is the old way of the circus. We may no longer see the whip and chair and pistol but those Tigers aren't afraid of a simple wooden stick either. Here are the answers to the three "chilling questions" asked at the top of this cheap documentary: 1) Are all tigers potential killers? Yes. 2) Can they be tamed? No. 3) Are even the tamest tigers just very well-trained? 2) makes 3) redundant. They're the wrong questions. It is in the nature of a tiger to prey upon animals, so by definition the answer to 1) is yes. A tiger will kill and eat a human because humans are animals and a potential food source. As the only species that has left the food chain, it's _our_ responsibility to ensure we're not food. There is _no circumstance_ in which a human being killed by a tiger is the tiger's fault. It's all on us.
I think i can picture why tigers kill us because humans don’t understand the wild and keep them in a place were these people should be/ Captivity a thing you should never build because no one cares about animals lives not only do i hate it when people put animals in captivity but I also hate when people Think IT’S FUN KILLING ANIMALS the Nerve
Most, if not all, humans are potential killers given the right circumstances. Humans kill for pleasure and ego while animals kill for food or survival.
The nice thing about tigers is they act like housecats, the problem is its freaking tiger, 400lbs + of killing tools: thick skin, muscle, claws, fangs(mouth claws) and really powerful scissor teeth at the back. A tiger will jump bite and swat at you just like a housecat, and probably send you to the hospital.
Oh my God..at about 5 minutes in I see a tiger walking on a leash among a bunch of kids and their parents running after and petting the tiger. Holy Christ, what am I seeing.
Especially after learning what I know about wild animals. Anyone wanting one should learn about the animal before allowing one to live on property caged up. It's sad to see we as americans take advantage of every right there is no matter the safety to others or concern for the animal. It hurts me to see beautiful animals locked up when they should be left alone period. If you can't do good for the animal don't get one especially when you can't take care of yourself. How stupid. Having the nerve to tell people don't worry about your safety I'm in control yeah in control alright a while back that same person was killed by a bite to the neck and he died but before that , one of his cats bit a kid on the leg because the kid fell taking a picture just think if the kid was attacked in the same way the owner was how sad when his attorney had the law over turned because he was rich I'm already knowing money don't care about who lives or dies. but who wins and he blamed the kid for falling. All I know is these rights we have, there's no law to them as if people are going to act right and be accountable for the things they do and this is serious shit. So much love for animals but who cares enough to make sure.
This documentary is great and very educative. All these trainers know the moods of the tiger but still they taking huge risks. A growl itself can be very intimidating as we discovered in our trip to the forests of Tadoba where we had a close encounter with Junior Matkasur. We were lucky to film it.
I have a couple of cats and my male cat, although he's all loving and fluffy, and cuddly. If he doesn't like something, he will certainly let me know. With a hiss, sometimes a growl, you never know, well big cats are no different, imagine having one of those great beasts, hissing and growling at you, you might then become afraid and without realising it start acting like prey, and well then it's just goodnight all, and end of story!
That female, the Tigress at the end, must trust him to jump through those paper hoops, she doesn't even put her paws out in front of her face, which would be a totally natural reflex action for anyone, man or beast, she just carries straight on with the jump, and goes through those hoops in one smooth movement. That is trust on her part.
@Wahyu Suryaningpraja peoples have to find something else to earn money, not on the alienation and the destruction of noble animals. This as to see with ignorance and poverty
These poor animals it’s so sad I used to love these shows but then find out really what is happening in the world and with tigers and lions we are running out of them in the wild. These people should be ashamed they belong to be in a beautiful place to live out their life
They will always bite. They always want to bite or suck onto something. They have 2 kinds of bite, one is an actual bite and the other is a normal bite.
@@ridwanhusainishraq it has natural aggression triggers. Ask these trainers what happens when they turn their backs. Their prey drive immediately turns on.

It's like being innocent in prison during the old chain gang days. Caged except for tightly controlled outside time and the hard labor someone else gets rich on.
strong belief -- Your comprehension skill set is a few sandwiches short of a picnic my friend. I'm talking like wild animals should be wild animals IN the wild and OUT of cages. Nature is violent sure, but it's not malicious. They may kill for a living but we kidnap the living for entertainment and money. malicious Sorry if that sounds mean.

Lynn Kayee people don't do it for the money. Thats what I don't get about your comprehention ! Think about how these people risk there lives out there? You'll never get it.
strong belief - Oh, I absolutely think of the people who risk their lives and I don't want them hurt. But make no mistake - the moment you take animals who build dominance from aggression (sometimes very very little, sometimes it's deadly) and train them for an audience it is either money or just wanting power that is the motive. If they don't want money, they should buy a sanctuary. As you said, they risk their lives but they choose it. They choose to do the routine. They choose what the animals does. They risk that animals life because the animal might have a bad day and go off maybe with an audience around. They have NO choice. I'm not a person who thinks ALL captivity is bad. I don't think playing with them is necessarily bad. But come on, it's about money when you do a routine and their entire life revolves around that performance.
There is not a lot of 'wild' to return large predators to. Most land suitable to support large predators is full almost to capacity with predators, and there is not a lot of safe and suitable land for the animals to migrate to.
Yup they are majestic when you see them in their natural habitat when they hunt you feel the power of this magnificent animal india is the only place amongst few places where you can see bengal tiger and Indian gir lion in natural habitat rest Chinese border close to Russia have siberian tiger in natural habitat I always wanted to keep one but right now it is banned in our country India to keep a tiger cub but one can come to jim Corbett park india to watch these amazing animals and have a nice time out there....

I like Big cat rescues approach to their Wild Cats. No/minimal physical contact, meat on stick reward, huge multi sealable room enclosures, no breeding, tons of fun non contact enrichment, public education, and well cared for cats. Heck they even took in a blind dying old female cougar. They thought she had a few weeks but with their care she had the best few months of her life. They only take in wild cats if the owners 100% surrender the cat and signs a legal agreement never to own an exotic cat again...or get sued. They educate the public and tell them wild cats, even the little ones, make bad pets. Some of the cats rescue had tear jerking back stories. They give the best care possible, unless the cats life will just be painful and they humane euthanize the cat. But they do surgeries, rehab, and physical therapy for the ones they can. They are a recognized rehab place for injured and orphaned Bob Cats and have successfully returned some to the wild.
Siberian male tigers grow up to 900 pounds (3 times the size of Sultan). Even a 180 pound leopard can dominate and do anything to a person, so imagine what a tiger than can take down a fully grown male gar, weighing a tone can do a person weighing 10% of that.
Well only in captivity. The largest alleged wild Siberian tiger was 847 lbs, and that's only alleged. It is exceptionally rare to find wild tigers that are 800 lbs let alone 900. Nowadays finding an 800 lbs tiger is like finding an 8 ft tall human, extremely rare, as the larger lines have been poached out. The usual maximum weight for a Siberian tiger is around 650 lbs, for males the range is 350-650 lbs. In captivity the biggest recorded reached just over 1,000 lbs due to being cage fat and living a bit longer than they could in the wild, as tigers keep growing throughout their life, sideways that is ;) They keep putting on weight.
@@goldeternal true!Although all of them are different personality which may be the most important thing determining whether you can live with one and be safe or not!In my family there lived a Siberian tiger for almost entirely all his life and was probably the best personality possible:he never attacked any human being in his 19 years long life, and this was actually visible since the very first time grandad seen him when he was 3 months old cub:Neron really chosen him and the thing was that in fact until the hour when he took little Neron home he was never thinking about ever keeping such animals, and also Neron was the first ever tiger cub he ever seen and the first big cat he ever touched! And the thing was that he was not alone:he was one of three siblings, and he had a brother and sister who were completely different personalities! So his sister was somewhat lazy and didn't react at any way to cuddling her and seemed like didn't care about anything around her while Neron didn't let grandad go and showed his attraction as well as further in his life! And the third sibling-Neron's brother was an opposite to him:that one was already sitting in a separate basket from the others because he was furious both to his brother and sister and cuddling him meant losing a finger or getting clawed plus anyway being hissed at and roared at,as he was very ferocious-to the point where they couldn't keep that one in the zoo because he was roaring at anyone coming near his enclosure and mainly he was charging at everyone so viciously that after few days he broke one of his canines, lost two claws and fractured a bone in his paw just by hitting the fence! And as for him-he was released in the wild and seems like at least for some time was doing well until he finally made humans he hated that much to lose his trail.. So all of them are the same different from each other as we are!By the way Neron the same time was even taught to hunt local wildlife in nearby forests and grandad regularly went to hunting trips with him,and Neron was nearly all the time fed with meat from his own kills that he was taught to drag home in order to preserve leftovers and feed him afterwards! And still he never turned on his human family which he loved and which loved him, living in their house and on property around it-like a house cat, although not just big for a cat or whatever-he was actually huge even for his kind-Siberians rarely grow that huge-over 380 kilograms-close to the record of weight set at 425 kilograms by Jaipur! And that is obvious that the number of wildlife that he tackled and sometimes thorn apart during his life was huge! And for some reason there were 3 animals that were somewhat loathed by him(or probably adored but only as meal)-the first were rabbits that he started training on and always regarded them as the best treat-but was really cruel to them,as his favourite thing that he frequently did with them was skinning them alive and instead of eating or killing just waiting for those to die!A-secondly for obvious reasons he loathed dogs and killed at least two of them when both he and his family got mad with those barking non-stop beginning at 7:00 A.M till 11:00 P.M. and so one day after warning their owners that if they don't make their dogs shut up in next day than Neron will make it-and the next day those went silent forever! And the third animal that he was always surprisingly deliberately chasing and methodically killing were bobcat and/or lynx that for some reason were in first four years of his life completely wiped out everywhere he was taken on hunting trips:he really sometimes climbed trees that only leopards would otherwise dare climbing to catch those poor cats and so grandad was always worried when he already weighted more than quarter of a tonne but still was desperate to get those cats at all costs:once Neron even fell from a pine tree and broke his paw but somehow as he broke the branch on which that lynx was sitting-he immediately chased and killed it with a broken paw which led to the surgery because he chased it on all four of them through immense pain..And the same time was so human friendly!

That doesnt happen in their own environment. Keep in mind there are many villages in india where tigers are endemic and the villages themselves kill them bc tigers target their animals.

I think the Russian Trainer had the most Respect for his Tigers. He and the old Tigress had a rare mutual respect for each other, hence the double paper hoop trick.
Yea! I saw that respect especially when the Russian trainer started hitting " the old tiger cause she bit another OLD TIGER!..if u look close he dont think he just hits he has a reflex not a reaction..
No trainer has respect for the wild animals they train. It's not natural for them to be put on display in society, training them to do tricks in the first place shows a huge lack of respect. You can tell the tigers hate it too, they're just scared by whatever he does to them during practice.
I found this documentary interesting. To the vitriol from people complaining of their "abuse" - I agree that tigers belong in the wild. However, we have to be pragmatic. What captivity provides to these individuals is protection. They would be shot if they encroached on human territory, or killed for their fur. Tigers are endangered. We need to sustain a captive population so that if they go extinct in the wild they aren't gone forever. This also brings people closer to these beautiful animals and shows them in a different light, so that maybe more people learn to respect them. The trainers here clearly care deeply about the tigers and provide them with good care. Their lives are much easier and filled with far less peril than in the wild.
Taming Lion is more hard if you have any experience with big cats.they want to be dominant, more possessive towards their food and female mate.they can bite you anytime because of hyper agression
The one time I did visit a circus I left in tears, and that was only when the horses came on. It is against the animals nature to do tricks. A tiger is such a majestic creature and to make it stand on it's back legs and perform tricks for our 'benefit'.I'm suprised that there are still circuses that have animal acts.
Respect for big cats, having them perform in front of crowds is wrong. Ok, tigers are an endangered species but surely they're better off in sanctuaries with breeding programs which in the end put these beautiful creatures back into their natural environment.
The wild Siberian Tiger population has been on the rise for years now it is probobly well over 500 by now. And if they cant survive without human husbandry then put them in a sanctuary and admire them from afar. They should not be made to do tricks for yuppie scum nor should they have to be doped up just so some prick can pet them.
This was amazing. These beautiful, powerful Tigers are spellbinding! I have never seen anything like this performance. The trainer was unfortunately necessary to bring this about.

Big cats are no different to little domestic cats but the size determines how badly injured you can get! My cat will be loving and then all of a sudden in a bad mood whip around and bite or whack me with her paw. Imagine if she were the same size as a tiger! They get fed up for the slightest reason sometimes. You have to be very respectful of cats especially when that size. You can never fully trust them.🐯

So many virtue signaling, pompous, holier than thou, self hating people in this comment section. These cats aren't being beaten and abused. They're healthy and they seem quite happy. Who are any of you to say that they aren't? Every last one of these people on this film know the risk that they are taking and feel that it's worth it. I don't agree with the small cages, but this is just a clip of part of their days. Quite frankly as long as they're being taken care of and not abused, it's none of anybody's business if someone wants to have and work with exotic animals or any animals for that matter.
I’m not surprised that trainer got bit. He’s running around in that pool like prey 11:35. Only a matter of time. So sad to see these animals in captivity. I always cheer when the animal gets fed up and mauls someone. I probably shouldn’t admit that... lol
Tigers are not supposed to be on chains or in a circus. We must see things in a different light. We need to conserve not make captive. This is no way to treat an endangered and majestic animal. For all the platitudes and excuses this is about making profit.
I can really recommend the website/TH-cam channel of "Big Cat Rescue" for anyone who wants to learn more about the abuse of big cats and how allowing them to be kept as pets, photo/petting props or circus actors is fueling an immense circle of cruelty.
Wow watching in 2018 and he's the top tiger trainer and treating them that way shame on you. Those are beautiful creatures should be left in the wild or on a sanctuary
One final comment. I don't agree with everything these trainers do but I can see that they, for the most part, seem to respect and love their animals. Also, like the Russian guy said, some animals are unique, or special. Each of these cats will respond differently to these circumstances: lovingly, brutish/aggressively, or a bit of both. In any case, these cats are amazingly beautiful, intelligent, and affectionate creatures. Bite on the neck between tigers? Heh, it happens. :P
My house cat is a moody sh!t, no way I would trust him as a pet if he weighed more than me...Cats do as they please and occasionally it pleases its owners but thats about as far as 'control' over cats go..
My cat is the most loving, smart and endearing pet I’ve ever known. She just wants to be held and cuddled all the time. I’d definitely trust her if she were big... She’s actually part bobcat.
Nope, when a human and cat have mutual love and respect (when the human truly loves the cat) they will definitely gain a connection, at least that’s what happened for me

1) Are all tigers potential killers? Yes.
2) Can they be tamed? No.
3) Are even the tamest tigers just very well-trained? 2) makes 3) redundant.
They're the wrong questions. It is in the nature of a tiger to prey upon animals, so by definition the answer to 1) is yes. Oh my God..at about 5 minutes in I see a tiger walking on a leash among a bunch of kids and their parents running after and petting the tiger. Holy Christ, what am I seeing.
I will never visit a circus with wild animals very sad
I'm on the same boat.
@im da artistic guru Are they?
@im da artistic guru They are messing with their primitive instincts.. They deserve to be in wild.. not in amusement parks. Its a disrespect..
Well you have just visited one..... Online

I think it's very cruel to make Tigers perform. Poor Tigers!
Agreed, absurd and not educational at all
The tiger would rather perform as do nothing I would think.

These poor animals it’s so sad I used to love these shows but then find out really what is happening in the world and with tigers and lions we are running out of them in the wild. These people should be ashamed they belong to be in a beautiful place to live out their life
Crazy
I'm amazed this people get impressed about their "tamed" tigers biting them, it's gonna happen again and it could be worse.
They will always bite. They always want to bite or suck onto something. They have 2 kinds of bite, one is an actual bite and the other is a normal bite.
Not one trainer in this video said their tigers were tame. Where do you get that?
Imagine being the tiger and constantly someone is touching you. If I was the tiger, I’d bite.
Actual tiger seems to be more friendly than you. Likes to interact with the ones he loves.
not a fact. it doesn't bite each n every one. if the tiger is around with a man with whom it trusts or is a friend of it will never react aggressively
@@ridwanhusainishraq it has natural aggression triggers. Ask these trainers what happens when they turn their backs. Their prey drive immediately turns on.
They dont show you how these tigers are treated when the camera is off. The circus has to go. Its not entertaining to me at all to be honest.
are you mad they are not puppies if they were treated any way badly they would kill their keepers they have them since cubs and put a lot of care into them thats why they can get so close

It would be nice for the circus to become a thing of the past, I agree.
Sekekama okay lets shut down all the circuses because it doesn’t entertain YOU? Fuck off.

Lynn Kayee are you nuts these animals KILL for a living! Talk like its a Foo Foo dog or something.
strong belief -- Your comprehension skill set is a few sandwiches short of a picnic my friend. I'm talking like wild animals should be wild animals IN the wild and OUT of cages. Nature is violent sure, but it's not malicious. They may kill for a living but we kidnap the living for entertainment and money. malicious
Sorry if that sounds mean.
Lynn Kayee lol trust me your not offending me. I think it's comedy- humorous -make someone laugh? The View you have. Apples and oranges kid I'm sorry I don't mean to come off malicious
This is quite a show undoubtedly. I believe that many great cats, including tigers especially, must be protected by us good humans from our bad kind.
Once again exploiting animals in the name of human entertainment.
Kylie Wilson These cats just cant be returned to the wild, and circus life gives them plenty of exercise, and they dont hate it.
brentlion I know, but most people think that way.. every places is different.. but if found as a baby, they can’t return them to the wild.. 🐯
Christel Champagne Most captive specimens were born in captivity, so its even more against having them returned to the wild
brentlion 📍very true. 🐯🦁
There is not a lot of 'wild' to return large predators to. Most land suitable to support large predators is full almost to capacity with predators, and there is not a lot of safe and suitable land for the animals to migrate to.

By the way she use to let the general public sleep with Cougars and is a lying lady and need s help
They need more land where the can be as well as live deer to hunt.🐯
In captivity the biggest recorded reached just over 1,000 lbs due to being cage fat and living a bit longer than they could in the wild, as tigers keep growing throughout their life, sideways that is ;) They keep putting on weight.

no way. you can take an animal out of the wild, but you can't take the wild out of the animal.

Why Not sure you tell people that I don’t indulge in poaching or shit like that
That doesnt happen in their own environment.

Taming a lion ? Still possible. Tiger ? No way. Which is why they're solitary hunters.
Taming a lion? Much harder than taming a tiger. Just watch the documentary. Tigers are docile friendly and easy going animals when raised from a cub.

What do you think
The one time I did visit a circus I left in tears, and that was only when the horses came on. It is against the animals nature to do tricks. A tiger is such a majestic creature and to make it stand on it's back legs and perform tricks for our 'benefit'.I'm suprised that there are still circuses that have animal acts.
Respect for big cats, having them perform in front of crowds is wrong. Ok, tigers are an endangered species but surely they're better off in sanctuaries with breeding programs which in the end put these beautiful creatures back into their natural environment.
Oh and big cats in a circus is a deffo no, hope they turn on their trainers because this is so cruel !
steve duncan there are only 300 left dumbass put them in the wild and they will be extinct in the next 10 years so shut the fuk up bitcg
they should get a couple of vipers or cobra's see if they could tame those & train them & see how good they are impress me mutha fuckers
Nick, some people already do that but they rip out the fangs to render them harmless. Steve Irwin taught me that.

This is unacceptable!
The sheer stupidity of those men walking those tigers through that park in Australia- allowing the crowd to swarm and pet them.

Nope, when a human and cat have mutual love and respect (when the human truly loves the cat) they will definitely gain a connection, at least that’s what happened for me
The only way to have a truly tame tiger is by selectively breeding it and training it for a few thousand years
No, it's to do what is so obvious in this video. Fear based learning. You can see their ears are back and are swatting and roaring as a defense.
