Those napkins are gorgeous, and I’m very jealous. I haven’t seen that style of napkins ever.

I agree that the angle chomper is not a necessity. I have the corner rounder chomper and I do recommend it for thick cardstock and cardboard as it is very strong. Very pretty projects today. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦

Thank you so much Margret, I really really enjoyed watching you creating these stunning and gorgeous mixed media thing’s. Your very very good at mixed media stuff. I really really love ❤️ watching you, because your so very “normal”. There’s no pretensions with you. And I agree with you about the corner cutter, not worth the money. I also like your little hole punch, it’s neat. I’m looking forward to seeing your video on thing’s that you have good and bad. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

    Hello Margreth,
I am new to junk journaling and stumbled on your videos by accident , your Dutch accent was like music to my ears as I travelled to the Netherlands a lot when I was much younger , places like Amerstam, Rotterdam, Guoda, Delft , I visited Glass city and the flower markets and auctions I have been to Floriade twice, and many other smaller places , unfortunately I have not visited for quite a few years now , I love your videos my first attempt at a journal is almost finished it's not perfect but I like it , it is filled with many of your projects from the 100 day challenge, you are such a talented and gifted person , and a lot of things from your past resonate with me .

Sure enjoyed this session. I love napkins over book print. Your purple index card was gorgeous. If you use your chomper tool the other way up, it will be easier to align the paper into it. I had thought of that punch but very much agree that that the cut offs are too small. Thanks again for the info.

After you have a layer of the matte medium on your paper, your Distress crayons will blend/smudge really easily.

Regarding using a water brush, I think you will have even more success (although you did a great job) if you do smaller sections at a time. By going around the entire image at once, the water continues to wick into your image and the chance of tearing it is greater.
I am a new subscriber and wanted to tell you what a joy you are to watch. You exude such happiness, fun and enthusiasm that is very contagious. Your English is wonderful. I love how you combine your language and American buzz words so effortlessly. I appreciate your use of inches while describing your projects. My day is just happier after watching you. Wouldn't change a thing about you or your videos. Thank you.

I have one of those corner chompers and you are right, they really are only good if you are making small tags and such. Your decoupage projects today are lovely. I have been watching your videos for a while now and never comment. I love them all and I also enjoy your voice an accent. Today's projects are so beautiful. I love them. I do have a little idea for gluing your glittery stones. You could put the dot of glue on the project instead of on the stone, then it goes where you want. I also don't want to buy a tool when I can find my own way to do instead. Hugs from Iowa.

These are lovely! Dye ink won't dry on acrylic medium. A pigment ink will work as others have suggested, but I prefer hybrid inks because they dry faster. You could try sealing it with a non-water-based sealer, I'm thinking hair spray would work.

But I do have some with flowers on and I will definitely try this. My favorite one is the one with the music on the background so I definitely will try that one. Happy happy New Year and may your year be a wonderful one filled with joy and peace and lots of time to be creative

Love to hear that you don’t love that corner tool because I saw it everywhere but didn’t buy it yet…so don’t gonna do it.
I love decoupaging with napkins, love it with a glue stick because it feels more texture like but when you glue it on old boekpapier or music paper it’s much more nice how you did it. In my latest video you can see that I decoupaged my Christmas napkins on old German bookplate to make the focal point of my Christmas ornaments. So so nice how you stamped it and love the bows😍😍

I definitely think a permanent ink like Stazon or Versafine would be better...
I agree, the We R Memory Keepers corner chompers are spendy... I have three; two I love (1/4 inch/1/2 inch corner chomper and the the stub/scallop) and the third (1/8 inch, 3/8 inch corner chomper) I punish and leave in the drawer.
I always thought buying We R Memory Keepers would be a sure thing... I have the regular Envelope Punch board that I have had for years.. a real workhorse. But I have had two of the mini envelope punch boards that died quick deaths 😑

When you say “I guess”, to me that is still inspiring because I’m not sure how most of my crafting will work out and I’m very unsure of myself, so when you say it I feel like my work might turn out okay since yours is so pretty. Hi Margreth! I hope you had a good time this Christmas! Thank you for your time and energy, but most of all for your sincerity. I really haven't heard enough honest reviews for tools. For the smudging of the ink over the varnish, I found very helpful a hair spray to fixate it. Tim’s version is called Collage Medium, but I don’t think there is a difference. I love Archival ink for stamping, but also sometimes use it to distress the edges. I've a bit of a problem when it comes to the old Musicals. I raised my children on Fiddler on the Roof, Sound of Music, White Christmas, South Pacific, Lil' Abner, etc. My problem now is that all my old cherrished movies are on VHS tapes and although I've hunted far and wide, I cannot find someone to repair my VHS player. We know the movies by heart though and when someone says "on the other hand" we know it's from Fiddler on the Roof, etc. I wish I could watch my old movies again without having to repurchase them on DVD.

Margreth there is another TH-camr that does fabulous Mixed Media her name is Karen Campbell and she has a formula on the different steps for applying glues, paints, inks, paper so that you have the best results. If I remember right it is the one that is “Mixed Media for Beginners” it’s 2-3 yrs old and she has a freebie printout of the formula she uses. I think you would LOVE mixed media and would be very good at it if you knew the basic formula for applying it, so it isn’t rubbish. And Karen Campbell is a good kind of crazy 😜 personality that you would like.

I’m “rubbish” with the corners. They are never uniform so I like the chomper for that reason especially on something like the labels where it is really noticeable if corners are not uniform. But, of course not necessary and I do wish they were larger angles.
