It’s digitally rendered, not a painting in oils on a canvas. If you look closely you can see the canvas grain vary depending on the brush used. Still a great piece of art, regardless.
@@BeyondGenre1986 they did commission Iana Forbes (who I’ve been following on IG even before I knew of SB19) for these paintings, but commissioning a piece of work doesn’t necessarily dictate that the medium will be traditional. I actually have a few guesses on how she made these, being an artist myself who works in both digital and traditional media. I’m just being nitpicky with this because I don’t think having rendered it digitally makes it any less a piece of art than if she had painted it on canvas, and it would kinda be sad if people only valued her the work mainly because they perceive it to be painted with actual oils.
among the 5 members, Justin loves to draw and paint. He actually did youtube and tiktok lives while doing paintings. He also sold his artworks last year and donated it to those people who were affected of typhoon.
The opening scene-a rocky road scattered with remnants from PAGSIBOL and PAGTATAG-is a visual representation of SB19’s journey. Every object holds meaning: the compass and map from MAPA, the WHAT flag, the scaffolding from WHAT, the bench from NYEBE, the cassette from WYAT, the cart from KALAKAL, the water from I WANT YOU, the beam of light from ILAW, the bloodstain from CRIMZONE, and the mining elements from GENTO. These aren’t just props; they symbolize the foundation they’ve built, the struggles they’ve endured, and the legacy they’ve created through relentless hard work. These songs have served their purpose-each a stepping stone leading to this moment. At the heart of it all, the Tree of Life-which they fought so hard to protect in PAGSIBOL and PAGTATAG-now glows with vitality. Its light signifies their success in breathing new life into the Philippine music industry. They’ve paved the way, and now, they leave this symbol behind for future P-pop groups to grow and thrive. It’s no longer just their battle; it’s a movement that will carry on beyond them. With their past struggles behind them, they now step into a new era-SIMULA AT WAKAS. This isn’t merely a fresh start; it’s the culmination of everything they’ve built. It’s a new frontier, promising even greater challenges and triumphs. Even the release dates of their single and EP hold deeper meaning: 2/18/25 → (2+2+8+2+5 = 19) → SB19 4/25/25 → (4+2+5+2+5 = 18) → A’TIN SB19’s brilliance goes beyond music-it’s in how they conceptualize and execute every detail. They ensure that we, the fans, are always with them, challenging our minds to decipher the clues they embed in everything they do. Their artistry isn’t just about entertainment; it’s an experience, an invitation to think deeper and connect on a whole new level.
I totally get Waleska that everytime SB19 comes back, they ain't taking a step. They're leaping! Perhaps it's the result of each member's solo exploration. They come back as one, better and stronger than before. They definitely walk the talk of outdoing themselves.
The map actually teases the possible places that they'll include in the world tour. And it looks like London will be one so you can finally see them perform live. Yes Felip knows how to draw being an architecture student. In fact he used to be a cartoonist during his elementary or high school days. But it's Justin who actually practices his drawing skills in his merch, creative direction & he paints too.
justin does paint... one of his paintings was auctioned in a charity event last year. AND yes its an actual painting... the artist had a collaboration with visar society THE ROYAL FAMILY JUSTIN is the CEO of that company.
There is a possibility that they are going to London. Based on the Simula at Wakas Map - there seems to be a Big Ben there. And Justin is the one who do paintings. He has shown paintings he have done and also had an auction for a charity event. I'm sure Ken also draws but we have never seen any full paintings he has done yet.
Great!our boys are Geniouses they really know how to excite Us- A'tin. Very Artistic & Creative. Its like a Puzzle & the last part of Triology. I cant wait to see the full EP👏👏👏❤❤❤
Finally welcoming the new era! My heart was racing when I saw their profile photo change that night, then minutes later, the SaW teaser was released. Very exciting. Let’s go, SB19!!! 💠 Also, the musical scoring is giving! Goosebumps!! And, those songs- What, Nyebe, Kalakal, Gento, Mapa, WYAT, I Want You- are some of which I can recognize. 😊
Justin does paints 🎨🖌️, they even made an exhibit of it (his VISAR collection) it's a collaboration with the artist who did the concept artworks (but not sure if it's digital or in real canvas)
My interpretation: I noticed that the land where they planted the tree was barren, representing the time Ppop was unknown in the Philippines and the OPM (Original Pilipino Music) industry. The tree represents SB19’s knowledge & legacy that will be left to the Ppop community for the next generations. Pagsibol era 🌱 = A seed was planted in What? MV. This is SB19 introducing the Ppop genre to the public and for OPM to acknowledge Ppop. Pagtatag era 🌳 = SB19 tried everything to grow the seed until they found the right formula! It turns out it needed their tears, sweat & blood (Their tears from being desperate to see the seed sprout, Pablo’s sweat searching aimlessly for the formula, and finally Stell’s drop of blood! This is in the Pagtatag teaser). They nurtured the seed and successfully grown it into a sturdy tree. This is SB19 continuing on with Ppop despite harsh criticisms from the public, mockery of their visuals, endured hate & bashing that questions their goals, braced issues thrown at them from non believers and the disrespect they get from other fandom. They paved the way for other dreamers, other artists to venture on Ppop. Sure there were groups before SB19 but only had a little impact, not enough for big companies & labels to create their groups and even if they launched a group, the groups that debuted weren’t enough to make a big influence for others to follow. They didn’t reached international. SAW era 🍎 - The tree is now fruit bearing. Their hard work has paid off. They are leaving the tree for the current and next generation of Ppop. Noticed how the lady who picked the apple was dressed the same as them? They are from the same community, the Ppop community. SB19 walking away & leaving the tree (their knowledge & legacy) to start a new journey. Pablo looked back with hope that what they started will continue to flourish. It is also reminiscing their humble beginning, represented by the symbols they used in their previous Pagsibol & Pagtatag era (flag, scaffolding, floating map from What?, soda fridge from Bazinga, compass & globe from Mapa, boom box from WYAT, bench from Nyebe, moon from Moonlight, cart from Kalakal, cave from Gento, light shining into cave from ILAW, water in the cave from I Want You and blood stains from Crimzone). Now, they are embarking on a new chapter in their lives, possibly to plant another seed in a foreign soil. This is SB19 expanding their global reach. This is the trilogy of Pagsibol (?), Pagtatag (!) and Simula at Wakas (.) This is SB19’s artistry at its best! 👏❤️
About the painting photos of Justin and Stell, it was actually first photographed then another made an painting out of it (not sure if it was real canvas or digital) And the persons behind it are a couple.
They're actually HANDPAINTED by a legit artist. The last time they used part AI in a project was during a KALAKAL teaser which drew flak, esp among A'tin/SB19 fan artists. They have a group named ARTSB19. So SB19 know better than to use AI. SB19 has said that this their biggest comeback yet and tapped a LIVE NATION which is a global promotional company for concerts and ticketselling.
The flag in the first clip of the teaser represents their song called what. On the second clip, the music box represents (wyat) where you at, the bench reresents the ilaw (i think). In the third clip you'll see the moon which represent moonlight, and the cart on right side which represents kalakal. Then, on the fourth clip it obviously gento or the pagtatag album in general. The last clip is for their coming new album. it's just my opinion based on what I observe
It’s actually an ACTUAL PAINTING. same painter who designed one of justin’s merch’s collection. so excited for this cb!!
It’s digitally rendered, not a painting in oils on a canvas. If you look closely you can see the canvas grain vary depending on the brush used. Still a great piece of art, regardless.
I think they commission someone to do it. It is an actual painting.

I haven't thought of that, how can SB19 be so talented and creative at the same time?🥺🤩
